I’ve met some Christian evolutionists and then also a relative who had been a Christian but read some of these things and kinda lost the faith because of it… so I’m wrestling through with all of it. …Thinking through how to respond to these types of things.
I was a theistic evolutionist. I went to church and I went to public schools. It was the only way, at the time, I could reconcile Genesis 1:1 with with high school and college biology /geology / & other scientific textbooks. After being challenged by a friend, I was determined to prove my challenger wrong, I proved to my own satisfaction that I was wrong. Briefly, the key was that evolutionists could not adequately tell me how fossil fuels (oil and coal) could be formed over millions of years. Their theories didn't match how observable decomposition of plant and animal matter occurs in nature. The second witness is Ayres Rock in Australia. (How did it come about? )

Yes! Grand Canyon is a great example… some of the formations, they can not explain, because it’s missing layers.

Faith without works is dead James 2:17 Because For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Phil 2:13 “Works” / to do good is what shows if we have God in our life/heart

@@biblenotetakingwithkatie The WORD STUDY, doesn’t mean study the books. modern translation has it as Be diligent (work hard).A good book that helps KJV readers is (The Defined King James Bible ) they did away with it for years and they just came back out with it.

to me that just means to study to show oneself approved. I was trying to understand why you bring it up because I thought you were connecting it to the video or your past comment but I’m thinking now you were just mentioning the verse. Keep me posted.
