Why Hydro Growers Need Water Chillers

If you grow hydroponic plants you need to use a chiller to keep water temperatures low enough to hold oxygen.
This video explains the importance of using a water chiller when growing plants in water and how to properly pick the correct one for your system.

run a 50 ft coil hose through a mini fridge with pump in reservoir. Mini fridge $20. Garden hose $5. Pump for reservoir (attached to hose that runs through fridge and comes back out into reservoir). I did this and keep my setting at 2. 1 being warmest and 7 being coolest. This keep my reservoir at 66 constantly. I debated on hydroponics due to maintaining water temps without spending a fortune. The mini fridge is nice cause its durable and can be set beneath 5 gal bucket or what have you.

I've got a bunch of different plants, blueberries, grapes, an orange tree, etc. in DWC buckets outdoors where it gets 105F in the summer regularly. I don't have any root rot because I use beneficial bacteria in the water.

If you learn to stabilize your ph ,,water temperature can be way higher,,but if your ph swings you will have all kinds of problems,,if you going to grow effectively you definately need to learn to stabilize your ph,,ph is the trouble if your warmer water grows algea etc etc etc,
