When I sowed my first packet of Dalia seeds I couldn't believe that they had produced tubers. Nature is wonderful. I did laugh when you said the slugs must parachute in. They do that in my garden too!

You know we love free over here! The garden centers haven't seen us in years. Ok.. not true... but they only see us walking around and making lists of things we need to collect seeds of later 😅

I have about 40 dahlias to be planted, plus some seedlings. I usually grow Bishop's children too, but I forgot to buy the seeds this year. Will have to remember next year. The seeds I am growing are bi-coloured mixed. Your seed variety sound gorgeous. Your dahlias are going to look beautiful. I didn't realise that if you pinch out dahlias that the shoot acts as a cutting. I usually take cuttings from tdhe shoots from the tuber. Thank you guys for a great video and info. Happy gardening 🙂

40! Wow 🥰. We’d love to have space for more. And aren’t Bishop’s Children wonderful? Those colors are incredible. Let’s hope Mystery Angels will be too. Good luck planting all of yours ❤️❤️

I grew Dahlia a few times and enjoyed them. However, I like hummingbirds and plant nectar rich Salvia plants for them now instead in that area. If hummers were in Denmark gardeners there would probably do similar plantings for them. Do you print images of the plants you try to sell at markets? You could try that and have a photo album to show customers. People relate to pictures or you could take a tablet or phone and show pictures of the flowers of the plants for sale.

I would love hummingbirds here! Great minds think alike 🥰We do print photos for every plant that we sell -- including height and whether the plant loves sun, shade, etc. And we send people home with a little label (written on a wooden popsicle stick) so they can remember what they bought 😀 When people come to our garden to shop, we have a photo album to show them what the flowers will look like, too. It does help to see the flowers :)

I look forward to seeing your dahlias develop. If you plant dahlias from cuttings and/or seeds do they flower the first year like with tubers or do you have to wait a year or two?

'Hyggeligt' is the best word ever! It means 'cozy' in English... but it means sooo much more. A pretty flower can be hyggeligt... so can an evening out with friends. Christmas by the fire is hyggeligt... so is ready a book in the shade or having a crazy wild party with friends. It's an incredible concept 😍
