Yep, the Marine LTC wanted accountability of military leaders and political leaders on what happened in Afghanistan. Instead they put him in jail, the system is corrupt. Now they're throwing the veteran in jail that went over to Afghanistan to save the translators and their families that helped us fight the wars.

All three presidents were given options obama: 12000-15000 troops whom declined and drew down to 7500 and put a date on it, Trump: was asked that 4500-5500 he declined took it down to 3500 and put a date on it, and biden they asked for 2500-3200 stay he also declined and put a date on it. I figured it would be clear whom is truly at fault (the decision makers: the president, congress, and the senate) but yall just keep letting them off the hook which is sad cause these 3 only make advisements and no decisions. But with so many lives lost in such a reckless way, I think maybe a little defiance from the General is in order. And he could have resigned his office without resigning his commission. He could be reassigned if he felt like this was too uncomfortable. I guess he’s in it for power and uses his status as an excuse. The military deserves better than these political generals.

We don't simply follow orders because they are given. Even if they come from the president, doesn't matter. The lowest E1 has not only the right but the absolute duty to refuse to follow up president's orders if those orders are illegal. Military members must always use their knowledge and analyzed every order they are given to make sure that the order complies with the uniform code of military justice United States Constitution and inset policies. If that order does not comply with all three of those things that the order is illegal in the order MUST be refused. US military members do not have the defense, "I was only following orders"… If they do something wrong, regardless of that they did so because they were following in order they will receive the full punishment that they deserved because they have no defense. Gen. Patton would've understood, exactly the way Gen. Milley understood that a president cannot use the military to try to remain in power, and he certainly cannot launch attacks against other nations, as a way of trying to stay in power. All Gen. Milley did was remind people that there are protocols and rules that must be followed if a president gives in order to attack… It's not just he gives the order and you go do it… That's not how that works. He was also reminding China, who is not a military enemy, that American policy is to tell people they are going to attack if they are going to attack in a large-scale so that civilian casualties are reduced. That's literally what we have done as policy since World War II.
