Trust me when i say many are ok with innocent human bodies piling up. I have spoken to many and they just dont care about all the children unalived. I used to always go to a church cafe here in the UK and the lady was annoyed by palistinian protesters and saying how the children had brought it on themselves. The actual boarders have rarely actually been the issue when it actually comes to the negotiating table, they're mostly resolved through land swaps. the actual sticking points seem to be Israel accepting the right of return for palestinian refugees (those that lived inside the current boarders of israel) even symbolically, And demilitarization on the palesinian side

Why even bring in China or Russia into the mix? Last time i checked both these nations are being scrutinized for their wrong doings. So why do people protest, well for a change of our policy towards other nations. Since at the very least publicly the potential protesters and their governments are mostly in a agreement when it comes to ex. Russia, there's no reason for a protest... It's not as if we send Russia weapons, give them diplomatic support or even let them sing in Eurovision. The same can't be said about our policy when it comes to IL/Pale- Even if the media for the most part seem to ignore those bits I'd argue that the protestors have been very clear what they are protesting for...
Why is this a debate. It’s plainly obvious why. Just tell the truth lbs, stop pandering to the status quo and trying to make out this is ‘complicated’. Violent occupation is violent occupation and the history of it is well documented.

One of the many differences is that we don't have Conservative/Labour "Friends of North Korea" and other North Korean lobby groups influencing our elected officials. As a result our MPs agree with the majority opinion on North Korea. The same can't be said for Israel. Our MPs continue to defend the killing of thousands of innocents because they know if they don't they'll be smeared as "antisemitic" by these groups and by the Israel-friendly press in this country. I found Matt's opening remarks to be very odd. If he gave what he was saying there even the slightest thought he'd see the above and many other profound differences that are leading people around the world to protest against the slaughter of innocent people in Gaza.

I mean protests are generally very easy to explain. They are complaining about something, usually policy or conditions, in this case it's the government, school or company policy on this specific subject. Why would someone protest if there was no policy which needed to change? Russia, China, North Korea... all of these countries are already, at least in the eyes of the general public, being scrutinized for their faults and wrongs... so ofc. there won't be any protests against these things. Perhaps there could be solidarity marches for the people who suffer, but protests?

He knows exactly what he is doing if we can just google and read a report being horrified her is a journalist. He is purposely providing a narrative to soften what is happening.
It amazes me with modern technology we dont know exactly how much death and destruction gaza has suffered. No agreement on how many dead and injured. No exact figures on how many buildings destroyed - ive seen figures ranging from 35% to 75%. All seems to benefit israel who constantly delight in the fog of war.

No independent journalists in Gaza, no way to know how many are buried under the rubble because aid workers and foreign help is tightly controlled by Israel (and killed indiscriminately when they do get in). Whether it likes it or not Israel will eventually have no choice but to agree to a two state solution and de-radicalise its institutions and society or it will crumble in its moral and financial isolation. Why do people keep forgetting the fact that we are not standing shoulder to shoulder with the Chinese or Russians or funding them and giving them weapons.
