Paramore is great!!! Old era, new era - they are just amazing & super creative. I must say one thing though [ready for the hardcore fans to get mad at me again iykyk] - what Josh Farro (alongside Taylor York) did on the first three albums was completely game-changing in terms of guitar parts at this category of music, specially on the Brand New Eyes album. Tones, Rhythm, Lines and Melodies - everything on that album serves the music in the most flawless way possible. I am a big fan. I met Hayley and her dog last year in a studio in Burbank. She was the nicest. Ps.: the drummer Zac Farro is a beast!

Man, I completely agree with you, the guitar parts on Brand New Eyes are perfect in many ways. I was a fan of Paramore before I started playing guitar, but I don't think I started playing guitar because of them. Anyway, when I started studying and researching things that interested me for the guitar parts of a song, I realized that everything was already there in Brand New Eyes. Something like: Great Riffs (Ignorance); Ambient FX (Reverse Delays on the first Chorus of All I Wanted); Big rhythm parts and breakdowns (Looking up); Harmonies (Playing God Intro); Interesting Chord Progression (Brinck de Boring Brick); and I understood that for me simple guitar parts that fit the song are cooler than random shredding guitar parts/solos. obs.: te acompanho faz mais de 10 anos, e até hoje volto no seu canal pra reassistir Loop'sCool hahaha

The goat said it first! Zac is great, of course, but the duo guitar parts that complement each other like in playing god, let the flames begins, brick by boring brick, is amazing stuff... Paramore is amazing and very creative in their songs

What I love about Paramore and why they're one of my favourite bands especially for playing guitar is that they've always had intricate writing on the guitar. What's crazy is that they wrote AWKIF when they were about 15 and I can't imagine how they came up with some of these parts like on Here We Go Again, Pressure, Emergency, Conspiracy, and so many others. It's harmonically so much richer than most emo-punk music, and the melodies that Hayley wrote on top of those already complex guitar parts really make these songs a lot more memorable. Having said that, I love ALL of their stuff and I love that they keep re-inventing their music, and that they don't just stick with what's comfortable for them even though they can easily rest on the laurels of their old stuff till the end of time.

They came to play in Worcester many years ago, and contacted the choir tacher at my daughters school. They were looking for a school chorus to come sing on stage with them that night. Being a total band nerd, my daughter was among those lucky enough to go. Hailey Williams came up to my daughter, put her arm around her shoulder and stuck the mike in her face! It was very cool. Shes an amazing singer and was a huge Paramore fan at the time. Talk about a cool last minute surprise. Each kid in the choir and one parent each got free tickets to the show as well. WHAT A VERY COOL THING FOR A BAND TO DO!

I’ve been a guitarist for literally decades now. But since KZread and the modern internet took off its lead me to completely different hobbies. I wanted to learn some guitar repair and setup stuff. That led me to realize learning that is just a couple steps away from building an entire guitar. This lead me to be interested in other wood working and building stuff. This lead me to be interested in tools. This lead me to be interested in cnc machines. Cnc stuff lead to being interested in machining. Then restoration channels took off and I got interested in that because I’ve always like antiques. On the completely opposite spectrum looking at guitar amps and effects led me to looking at pro audio stuff. Which rekindled interest in recording. Effects also lead me to looking at synth stuff. Now I am a synth junkie. This lead me to being interested in vintage electric pianos and organs. This also has lead me to being interested in electrical engineering even though I’ve specifically always hated it. It was too much work. Tedious work. Guitar KZread has done wonders for my interests.

I listened to a lot of early Paramore with my sister, she was the typical mid-00’s emo girl and she was a super fan so I pretty much knew about them my whole life. I branched off from that lane of emo to harder stuff and when they came out with AL I was deep into Rammstein, Meshugga, Slipknot etc. so I just shrugged it off as those pop sellouts and stopped listening to their stuff outright. As I’ve gotten older I’ve kinda mellowed with my music, and when This Is Why came out I instantly felt a little mad at myself for just throwing them away for 6 years. I then dove into their discography and have become hyper fixated on everything they’ve done. Zac and Taylor are insanely rhythmic and Hayley is in my opinion the best female rock vocalist of this generation. Very complex arrangements on songs that were written by teenagers, with Zac being 15 when their first album came out. An all around great band that has had a long career and it feels like it’s just started with how young they all still are.

I LOVE Paramore (my favorite band) if i got to meet any of them, let alone Hayley, let alone... just... Out somewhere. id prolly shit bricks of happiness (on the inside... i dont really externally freak out over shit like that... or anything really) and its so crazy to watch someone explaine notes on a guitar.. as a 15+ year player myself i learned almost all of Paramore's music and blink 182 (when starting) and many many other songs scales n stuff.. but if you ask me what notes/chords they are..... i couldnt tell you... i know scales.. i couldnt tell you exactly what note it is tho (until i hear it) i only ever learned to read piano music... LMFAOOOO and i even forget that its been so long. i took 1 year of lessons and learned the rest myself by ear. and any technique that i came across that i didnt know. thank god for YT lol i can read guitar/bass tab tho i also mess around on bass and drums, DJ & rap a lil too. love music of all kinds.. making it and listening. you should peep a song by Unwritten Law called "Celebration Song" Theres a Bass & Guitar riff in the intro and thru out the song at parts and its such a dope riff i love playing it. it starts as a bass solo but the guitar comes in with it eventually

Hayley make lyric, Josh make melody. Paramore should have evolved into post hardcore somewhere between Sleeping with sirens & Of Mice and Men after B-Sides EP (befor self titled) , that sounds like My Heart. but Josh did left. Hopefully someday in the far future.

This resonates with me, I never listened to or gave a chance to My Chemical Romance (for obvious, young butt-head gate-keepy reasons) finally gave them a chance last year and I HATE The Black Parade now.

I love Paramore. And the only rockstar I’ve met is Steven Tyler and he called out to me.

Taylor didn’t write on the first 3 albums. And I personally think those are the best albums. However he’s still a great guitarist.

Taylor wrote on BNE. He was an official member in 2008. Also wrote some stuff on AKF like an unoficcial member.

Hard Times is probably my least fav Paramore song. They cover like 5 to 6 different styles each album. This is why is all gold.

Just wasn’t really my taste. I did eventually start to appreciate some of the emo music that came out back then but I lean more towards later saves the day. They were more interesting harmonically in my opinion.

Taylor York is incredibly talented cannot believe his talent was just hiding in the background. Josh farro leaving was the best thing to ever happen to paramore the music he makes with Hayley is beautiful.
