It is absolutely amazing that you were able to connect woth your mom in such a way. And be seen! That is just awesome! It is a credit to the work you've done on yourself and the work she's done on herself to be able to return those traumatic moments and have them be received and validated. That's the best gift!

Thanks Grace and yes, it does take some getting used to, to create a new way of being together without someone who was such an important person in our family
