"Why God Allows Suffering" David Wilkerson Responds

Delve deep into the complexities of faith, doubt, and the responsibility of Christians to reach out to those who are spiritually lost. Gary Wilkerson and Mark Renfroe emphasize the importance of understanding and compassion in evangelism, challenging listeners to consider their own beliefs and biases. They explore the notion that many people who seem lost are actually on a journey towards faith, and that Christians have a crucial role in guiding them through love, patience, and understanding. This episode encourages a reevaluation of how Christians perceive and interact with non-believers, advocating for an approach that combines truth with grace.

Amen and amen. If you're not going to do anything about trying to do the will of God no matter what he calls you to do sounds like you're, we are not engaged enough to try to make a change in a difference in our lives or even the world. And those that don't wrestle with God's will are the ones that are trying to make a change and a difference in the world

Yes absolutely true. And judgment is on the last day, which means God doesn't intervene here only after we pass away. Man alone creates pain and suffering.

People need to wake up I realize that that’s Satan’s work, not God’s work, not God’s fault. We’re here to bring good souls back to Jesus Christ, and get them away from Satan and all those devils soldiers

It's interesting that question. Why is there so much suffering if...... Assuming that god is at fault for it or is doing it caused it or something to that effect...... Why does no one ask the real question?Which is we know?Humans are sinful and bad.Why can't you guys do better? Why can't you look at yourselves and say Hey?Maybe we shouldn't be acting this way???? Why is it always god's fault????? Stop projecting on god what you know well and good is inside of you....... Inside of. All of us as humanity.... Because let's be honest whoever Has not sinned may throw the first stone here...... I'll wait.........

Horrible apologetics, just atrocious. Answers from Christians like this about hard questions, is the very reason I left after almost forty years as a “born again Christian” and a Pastor.

Idk,but sounds like he was trying to say that the focus is/ should not be so much abt asking why these things are happening but what part can I do to help or change something? You know," I cant do much but if I can do just one thing"? Maybe God allows these things also- among other reasons- for us to show our love to each other, instead of so much hate? It always amazes me how we can all come together to help in times of emergencies, disasters etc? Who remembers " We are the world"? Donating whatever we can? We can learn something in tragedies. ( I have learnt now in circumstances not to just see the bad but to see where the hand of God was at work. I can guarantee you that " He was there all the time...".) Did you truly leave after 40 yrs as a born again Christian and a Pastor? Do you mean " the church" or the faith"? I dont understand that.Hope it wasnt because you couldnt find a perfect answer to that question?

Katherine, there would be no need to change pain, war or suffering if it didn't occur in the first place. Imagine a mess in your house, and you ask why the mess there in the first place. Instead, the elder suggests you not ask that question. Instead, what are you doing to clean the mess? It doesn't make sense, because if you can prevent the mess in the first place, there is nothing to clean up. Why did God purposefully create pain suffering and war in the first place?

@@justincapableI understand where you are coming from but I have to say, surely you cant equate a mess in one's house to God's salvation plan? The ultimate goal? To redeem souls. Do we know better than God? Is He not an Almighty God for a reason? To go there seems to be saying we know better than Him how things should be. By that question,we can then ask why did Jesus have to suffer and die? God could easily just have wiped out everyone - as He told Moses- and just forget the whole human aspect/ humanity. One may also then ask why did He allow the devil to exist? Well, satan wasnt evil from the beginning,we must rembr that. He allowed himself to become puffed up. Again, why did God allow this..and where did sin come from? The questions can go on and on. We do know He told the Israelites that He took them through the wilderness for 40 yrs to test their hearts. It is a question of love, not forced obedience. Choosing to love and trust Him.( look at the difference betw the two sons in "the prodigal story". We get to see a lot abt true love and forced loyalty. The one who stayed home was just a bitter person. He had no real understanding and appreciation of the father's love.he just did forced loyalty.). So,I believe we can continuously go around in a circle asking why, why, why. Or we can choose to believe there is a God bigger than us who knows what He is doing and knows best. And I can honestly say that in serving Him,despite some hardships,it is still the greatest thing. His love is phenomenal. Far better than being a tool in satan's playground. The pain and suffering - after the seeming happiness - of going wrong is not something I want again. Yes,it is sad we have so much suffering, but would we seek for a better way without it? The prodigal son discovered what that sort of "freedom" meant. God may give or allow some suffering, but He can and does give back so much more. We see that with Job. Satan,on the other hand, takes and takes and takes and gives nothing good in return. (Look at Judas...he went and committed suicide.😭). I pray that we all just learn to appreciate that God knows best. " His ways are not our ways" but it is infinitely better with Him. Ps: I believe it is wrong to say God "purposely created pain, suffering, and war". He no more created these than He created hell for humans to go. Alas, there are just tools He uses after the fall to establish some order- along with defending His righteousness. Rembr, even David- the "man after His heart"- He had to punish for his sins to honor His Holy name.No one is exempt.
