*#6 The pupillary distance is wrong.* My whole life glasses gave me headaches and eye muscle aches on the distal sides. I felt like I was going slightly cross eyed after a few hours wearing eyeglass. I never had that problem with contact lenses Years later, when I was able to specify my own PD via ordering glasses online, the issue went away completely. Providers were always writing a smaller PD than is comfortable for me. Not a single one listened when I said "That's too narrow, and my PD is different on each side." So, I can't purchase glasses in person anymore because providers always insist their measurements are correct. I know what works for me. *#7 The lenses themselves are too big.* I get nauseated and distracted seeing the object shape distortion in the periphery of larger lenses. I'd rather have small lenses and slightly blurry peripheral vision than the constant visual warping. People say you'll learn to ignore the warping. I never did.

@@inouske2975 I ordered glasses from Zenni (but any retailer will do who lets you enter your own *pupillary distance* or PD). In the appropriate spot on the form, I selected my own pupillary distance (separate measurements for my right and left eyes because they are 1 mm off from each other). I measured my own pupillary distances in the mirror, and checked them against the values my brother got when he measured it for me. Both times we used a cheap PD ruler that sits in the bridge of your nose. The key for me was to be looking at something 30 feet away, so my pupils were spaced more typically for me, not hyper focusing on a spot 6 feet away (the way it's typically measured). Most opticians measure my total PD at 69 or 70. But my self measurement is 37 and 36 for a total PD of 73. That 3 or 4 mm difference meant frequent eye pain vs no eye pain and strain, for me.

Thanks doctor Allen for this video.I think after watching this video many people will check their glasses and will try to find out the problem.Jazakallah.It mean God wil give you the reward.🥀❤️
They are over prescribed by -1 or -2 Diopters. This is why I make my own refraction measurements. Now back to 20/20. Refraction is +0.5 Diopters, both eyes. You should help the person make his own measurements, to avoid your measurement errors.
You have beautiful eyes♥️

ive been diagnosed with migrane and ive noticed that whenever i wear my glasses on, it triggers my head and give me a migrane episode, so i don't know if the glasses are what's causing the migrane or not
@galamander_1327

I've had migraines since I was a little kid. Thankfully, as an adult they're infrequent because I have much better control of my migraine triggers and exposures. My glasses and contacts used to cause me migraines after just 3 or 4 hours of wear when the prescription was too strong. With the right power prescription they don't at all. There is no adjustment period and no pain from all day wear when my glasses are just right -- the right amount of correction, the right pupillary distance, a small lens, being ultra lightweight, and zero color tint or "self darkening" lenses.

Don’t wear distance glasses up close, wear sports goggles instead of glasses, clean them, and also a slight reduction in distance glasses (normalized glasses) is good and just make sure you’re properly doing active focusing and endmyopia so you can just fix your eyes
Very confident presentation.🌟🌟🌟
You are doing well. Keep it all up. Thanks

Does th black spot comes and disappeares in intervals? And does it get worse if u only look with one eye? Then it might be visual snow syndrome. If it is then u likely will not have any serious damge to ur eye.

Hello, how do I know if my eye muscles are not in balance with glasses prescription? I’ve had my glasses prescription updated and both my old and new glasses cause me pain, nausea and dizziness. I’ve been to multiple eye doctors as well as an ophthalmologist.
Reason 6 : new glasses wearer /stronger prescription. This is because your eyes are getting used to seeing properly/clearly without a doubt Is super annoying And guess what… It lasts up to 2-4 weeks and…. I’m getting stronger prescription tomorrow… … Wish me luck 😅

Dirty or slightly askew... plus the phone screen use. Yep. Great quick vid
Then again it's likely an adjustment period if you got new glasses or are using them for the first time. This will cause your eyes to strain since they work extra hard to adjust to using glasses and thus giving you a headache
Wondering which eye vitamins you recommend?
cool glasses 🥰

Last optometrist visit gave me a bit of over-prescription (in my opinion) so I dropped it myself by 0.50D SPH - could see just as well but without the headaches :) Cannot use those for close up though, within seconds I feel my temples hurt a bit so I have a separate pair just for the computer which is a further 1.00D SPH drop, perfect!

Yeah I really should make some more videos on that topic. I have been collecting and reading books on various "reversing myopia" theories. The hard part is the videos usually just call out a lot of hate because I break people hearts that there just isn't any good evidence that the methods out there work. A person can make claims all day about the world being flat or that a presidential election was rigged (for example), but without scientific proof...it's just a theory, or at the very least an idea or claim. There is one program, technically, that has proof, but that program is more about changing your mental perception of vision and eyesight and less about changing the refractive power.
@inquisitivenessandcontempl9918

Myopia means one's eyeball is physically elongated. It's an anatomical feature, a given. It cannot be "modified" or "remodeled" into a different form. So, one cannot reverse myopia with exercises. However, exercises that relieve stress and strain and lessen tension may be beneficial for the eyes, as well as adequate diet and healthy lifestyle. Myopia is not the end of the world, and glasses are fun. Actual eye disease like glaucoma is worse, and probability of developing it can certainly be prevented by lifestyle and diet.
How can I know the correct size of eyeglasses? Does the shape of the frame matters? I use progressive and I've noticed the dr writes marks on the plastic glasses of a new frame. Thank you
what does it mean when the eye muscles are not in balance with glasses prescription and how do you fix it?
I have slight astigmatism, so I got some glasses. They cure my astigmatism, but my eyes hurt like hell whenever I use them. My vision is fine other than occasionally needing to squint, so - between that and the pain - I’ve just never used my glasses.
@R3cce
Жыл бұрын
It takes some time getting used to astigmatism glasses, becauses the vision becomes unstable when you rotate the glasses. Your eyes hurt, because you are not used to seeing that clearly. Just wear them regularly and it will improve.
I just got new glasses that have prescription on the bottom and clear on top. The clear part (non-prescription) is slightly fussy. Is there a type of lenses brand that is clearer than others?
Hi I just got my first glasses with grade for nearsightedness but it doesn't have grade (?) For astigmatism. I have astigmatism. Can that be a cause of headaches when wearing graded glasses? Thank you

Idk actually but I do know it’s normal to get headaches when your new to glasses/change proscription 😊
My vision is really blurry on one eye, could this cause migraines? I've been having light sensitivity, palinopsia, my tinnitus is louder, and my visual snow is more noticeable. Hoping glasses can help correct these issues, or at least ease them
my opto told me some people get headaches bc our brains overload with so much more detail but it could just be the wrong scrip too, ya really never know.
What does double vision in one eye mean. I've had it in both eye's and my prescription continues to worsen, to the point of it becoming difficult for the optician so I've been referred to see a specialist.
Happens to me I have new eyeglasses but I take them off so I can stop having headaches 😢

Dont forget fixation disparity, one of the most commen causes of headache in multifocal glasses espicially
Oh to have him as my doctor🥺🤍

how do you usually clean glasses like that?
And prism 😀
So basically i went opticions and i got glasses but keep in mind these glasses i had over 2 years , anyways i went there and my vision got worser , they gave me a new pair lf glasses that my eye needed and what they prescritid and when i wore them my eyes look cockeyed .. my other glasses look perfectly fine but its just that and i dosent seem like my vision.. pls answer this?
Also after I started reading more and more I feel like my eyeballs are going deeper in my eye sockets bcz I'm seeing more lines on my eyelids and I noticed this as I was applying my eyeliner and for the first time in my life my eyeliner is breaking down at the outer end of my eyelids...what is causing my eyelids skin to get loose? How do i stop this?
It's nor that the prescription has expired It's your eyes may need a different prescription. Your glasses still refract light the same way. You just need a different refraction.
What can be the cause of temporary kaleidoscope vision?
What’s your prescription
excessive cylinder. guaranteed headaches.
Can I use -0.5 power eye glasses all day??
Reason Number 6: You have a high +/- RX and the weight of your lenses are painful on your nose. This is my unfortunate experience even with the lightest material! 😭

Beware of headaches 😅
I wear glasses and they are amazing such clear prescription for me . However i had recently been experiencing headaches . Then i remember I need to drink more water 😂
Please do more cross eyed moments 😂😊
Most likely is your prescription was not made correctly. It is not centered for your eyes. If you are constantly having to readjust your glasses your glasses, this could be the reason.
How much
I tried to watch tv and i didnt move, then i looked right left and up because looking down hurts my eyes, then i stared downward for seconds then i can moved normally
I,ve been wearing glasses for 4 years and i still didn,t get a headache from them
So that's why my sunglasses and other people's glasses make my eyes hurt when I wear or try them on.

@DoctorEyeHealth

It often takes about 2 weeks to adapt to new glasses. if the doubling persists, you can always ask your doctor to double check the prescription or perhaps there is another reason for it. In high levels of astigmatism or if someone has an odd angle of astigmatism, it may be difficult to 100% get rid of the ghosting images with glasses alone, contact lenses such as RGP or scleral lenses may be a better option as those lenses can mask the astigmatism.
