I despise companies that don't list all their ingredients, and not just because I have allergies. It's just so disrespectful!

One of my family members brought me home a pound cake from another completely different state. There was zero ingredients listed on it. I asked well what if I am allergic to nuts or something? I guess the answer is then don't eat it. I just thought it was very odd for nothing to be listed.

@tinkrtailr Yeah, the label machines are not the easiest to work with. They literally have to go into the printing setup and manually move things inch by inch to get the labels on. Plus, Quality Control Departments are short staffed and only a few people among those that work in Quality Control know how to do that. Then the labeling setup will sometimes not print by some printing software bug or glitch! My Father is a Quality Manager where he works and he always has stories about the stupid labeling machine!

Companies try to, but they're short staffed and just think about how long and complicated each and every ingredient list is and imagine a separate manufacturer changing the recipe suddenly
I'm a tired office worker at fresh produce warehouse for a lot of East coast deliveries. Most fruits and vegetables pass FDA inspection. The main problem is the molding in the old refrigeration trucks.
The same thing is wrong with food as everything else: Profit is king.

On China, if you complain about a dead bat on the salad they will extra charge your meal, claming that a salad with bat costs twice.
Shocked you didn't cover the areas that the two agencies get super confusing about which handles products like one will handle cooked chicken and the other raw chicken and dumb stuff like that. Jon Oliver has a good episode all about this topic.
More reasons to spike the food prices, under the terms/reasons, labeledas "cost of labor" and "manufacturing cost". All financial burdens are shifted to the consumer end.

Thankfully here in Slovenia we have still lot of home grown food, living on the farm is just awesome 👍😊
Packaged food is actually one of the rare examples where the industry has set higher standards than the government. The FDA regulations and inspections are pretty much the baseline of food safety. Any national distributors or retailers will require food production facilities they purchase from to have additional certifications like SQF. The SQF standards and inspections are more rigorous than federal regulations. Every food producer worries more about the private inspections than government inspections, you’d have to basically be running your plant like The Jungle to get shut down by the FDA.
There's a lot of thing to do to avoid such food recalls that happen after incidents eg. implementation of HACCP, GMP, segregation between allergen and non-allergens, and also having a knowledge of food defense. And yes, those procedures were written in blood, just like safety procedures.
thank God for family farms, at least you know where it comes from
Recalls on the rise cause nobody gives a $hit anymore!
“We found more toxins than nutrients” Will always stick with me
These companies hire the lowest cost workers, who really don’t care about food safety. Also, our food in America is total crap.

That's actually a normal thing for travellers to any nation. Your gut has to get used to the new regional microbes. There are lists of foods to avoid if you're a frequent business traveller and don't want to get indigestion.
I think this should be a good reason why the government should give proper funding and proper anti-food contamination inspections to every food distributing company out there as an example.
와우 대단하네요.
Some of these companies make it quite difficult to report though. A couple months ago we opened a bottle of cranberry juice from ocean spray that had a very strong sulfer smell. We had to dump the whole bottle, it was horribly chemically tasting/smelling and somehow or other got worse after 10 minutes of being poured. Not sure the chemical process of that. It was 9 pm. My husband was on the phone "talking" to their automated services for over half an hour and got nowhere.
Inflation does not help matters.
The Background Melody of the Video was very annoying.
The "answer" starts at about 2 minutes; however, there essentially isn't one. The video talks about really vague concepts, none of which have to do with the last few years.

the ingredients thing is very serious. i drank a "dairy-free" protein shake that immediately made me sick. i have milk protein intolerance, and it turns out it contained milk proteins. there's a reason doing stuff like that is illegal.
Neither agencies don't care. They approve bad human & dog foods when they get a kickback $$$$$. Most things on earth is all about money.
I don't like how my local indoor farmer's market here in Dekalb County, GA doesn't always list what kind of milk their cheeses are made from and/or the nutrition labels er cheeses meaning I know how many calories, salt, carbs and protein are in 1 oz servings of those cheeses. This matters for me since I can only eat cheeses made from water buffalo/buffalo milk and/or sheep's milk.
Out of almost 200 countries the US has one of the safest food supplies in the world ranking number 3.

Katie has said and i quote "At Threads, our expectation is for all users to treat others with kindness and respect. This encompasses acknowledging the choice to adopt a Nazi lifestyle. We embrace a diverse community." She was sure quick to embrace Nazism.
Our food standards are that of the 3rd world. Smh.
❤
This is due to the laziness of a newer generation taking over our economy. Millennials and Gen Z are compromising our social and professional norm. The work ethic is ridiculous and nearly non-existent. And it's not only in the food industries. This virus of incompetence has plagued all industries from law enforcement, medical, and all others. It's an attitude that focuses on self preservation rather than integrity and safety of others. Customer no-service is now standard. And we've become so blind and lackadaisical with relying on outsourcing our online and over the phone customer services to Indian and southeast Asian countries who do not understand American lexicon, and constantly read from a script. We need customer service, as in assistance with billing, order placement, tech support, troubleshooting. We don't need a hotel concierge. We request and require solutions, not to continue to stand on ceremony. And this is all going to get worse before it gets better. Because our western culture is corrupt by too much greed to actually maintain the average person's lifestyle.
Only eat locally grown or raised food, that will solve a lot of the problems with contaminated foods...

But at least they’re honest enough to publicly recognize the problem.
Best not to ear meat and dairy anyway.
the reason is because millions of people have joined the workforce that dont have the same stringent health and cleanliness standards that US workers have normally had. They came from places that dont have practices like this and as such are more and more contaminating our foods. that is the honest truth.

First one here 😊
Whatever dude
the resolve to this is: have own garden, field, farm and produce own food as much as you can. In Europe we don't have such problems because food production is strictly controlled and most households especially on Balkans have their own vegetables/fruits/meat and eggs/diary products so no need to buy in supermarkets and from global sellers. People nowadays became ''lazy'' and counting on ready made products by industry especially in ''developed'' countries and that causes low quality, allergies and disease spread. for example: MILK -> you get it boiled only in supermarkets, there is never fresh milk, and by boiling it you lose so much of healthy nutrients that fresh milk contains. also most of cows from the farms that supply food industry are vaccinated and that is causing the problem with the milk later on causing allergies and various reactions to the consumers so they assume ''that they can't drink milk'' but the problem is actually of another kind. People are becoming more stupid with developed technology, which is sad, it should be otherwise.
