Wire mesh is not good as it will decay in walls which will ruin the plasterwork after sometime.... Fiberglass mesh is the best mesh to use

Integrel liquid Water proofing compound... waterproofing chemical should be between 0.5 to 1.5% of the cement weight.

Normally 4 inch, 6 inch and 8 inch comes as per the joints in the walls...for more information you can check with mesh selling companies

Crack hogi vahi pe bhi laga sakte ho...aur beam-column aur brick work ke joint pe laga sakte ho...baad mai plaster kar na padega...

After the concrete dry's the waterproofing procedure will be done.... If you are asking in connection to the video, then they are applying Glass fiber mesh in masonry joints for crack control... it is not waterproofing.

Can I put fiber mesh on entire exterior walls of my house for damp proof or only on selected areas ?

You should use this for any concrete work....and before plastering between wall and beam-column joints...
