The link in the description is no longer working. Wish this had more information! Even in earthquake country, this could work, because of the interlocking block design, and the mesh. It could be greatly enhanced, too, by wrapping the walls inside and out, with mesh. They didn't show how it gets covered inside or out. Wish they did.

No. Mortar is bad material when it's warm or cold outside. This kind of blocs should not be joined with mortar on the sides.

Mortar is bad for thermal insulation, but its good for construction stability. You want strong and stable construction, because of earthquakes. This type of building construction will be destroyed by weak earthquake. There is no compromise for construction strength. For thermal insulation use EPS or stone wool.

The damp-proof is wrong in this video at the beginning (0:14): it should be wider than the wall, to allow connection to the outside and to the inside damp.proof layers. Here it is only below the bricks...

I think it is a mistake to spread cement across the entire brick as you create a bridge from the outside to the inside. Some spreaders I've seen leave a gap in the middle, thus preventing conduction. There is no point in having a thermal block if you bridge it completely with cement.

You have addressed good point here. However, The thickness of the mortar layer is very thin if compared to the height of the block. I do agree with you that leaving a gap in the middle will eliminate conduction, but vertical stress distribution is better using whole face mortar covering.

Never put mortar between blocks in the thin mortar technique. Air is a much better heat barrier and walls are strong enough like this.

No me convence ya que la TERMOARCILLA el mortero se coloca solo a los laterales para no cerrar las cámaras o celdillas de aire entre ambos ladrillos para que funcione como aislante y el aire atrapado circule entre los tabiques,eficiencia cero.

Существуют лабиринтовые уплотнения, сопротивление потока воздуха в них очень велико. Кроме того необходима отделка изнутри и снаружи, а это точно закроет все щели.

yeah me neither.. the sides of the house need to be built with reinforced concrete pillars and the walls are fine using these highly insulated clay blocks, insulation wise you can't go better than this.. strength wise.. i'm not so sure..

Lucrurile trebuiesc simplificate. Asta inseamna economie ,spor si se simte la buzunar. Eu nu inteleg de ce in alte tari (nord) nu se practica stalpii de la imbinarea zidurilor.
