Ignoring the horny comments, there already is inflation in the form of the bloons getting inflated.

The price of the rare Quincy action figure also got reduced; while this makes it easier to afford, compared to before its numerical value goes up more slowly as a result.

This is also why Co-op boss events are really hard (with no supply drops or insta monkeys)

Highly doubt that if I'm honest. They seem mostly general balance changes. Looked at the stats, decided they aren't happy with all the easy money players get so they nerfed a ton of the ways to generate cash directly (note that most tower abilities weren't nerfed other than the bank, in fact Druid middle path was buffed and Sniper middle path got QoL changes).

the only issue with OC BRF is, well, have you ever got into elite boss, filled map with BRFs and OCs, you know how annoying it is to OC every. single. farm. MANUALLY. some said "use techbots", brother in christ, with how much overclocks you will have they will take up space of around two farms themself, and they cost too, and are unavailable on ranked

yeah everyone hates OC BRF. as a ranked player this is extremely annoying and most unfun part of the runs

I believe the return rate of an overclock is actually 8.6%. While the number would be 10.1% in a vacuum, the overclock doesn't make money by itself - it only boosts an already existing farm. The proper way to calculate the return rate would therefore be to compare the cost and yield of two 420 farms vs one 420 farm plus an overclock. In total, the farm+engi combo generates 3 510 dollars per round and costs 40 775 dollars. 3 510 / 40 775 = 0,086 = 8.6%. Still better than just buying 420s, though!

Correction, Favored trades sellback boost technically does not work on all tiers as Paragons cannot get their sellback boosted.

Honestly, I've found myself preferring Geraldo to Ben for econ. Yes, he makes much less money lategame but by that point you've probably already snowballed out of control anyway, and the benefits from NFT and Fertiliser are still very strong. Plus he give you preposterously cheap defence for the early-mid game and can buff your hypercarries as well once you're able to afford them.

I think Gerry is all around better for both early and late game

I'm ngl I actually really love these changes. Old farming was so boring because it was kust pure farm spam and trying to squeeze as many as you can. Now that we have to mix in rubber to gold and bloon traps it actually feels a lot more interesting, it's made me enjoy boss events again

So you mentionned the fact that farms should be placed around a 002 village, but in a normal game, should you really start by placing the village in order to maximise income, or should you place a few farms first in order to create cash faster? Great video though !!

Haven’t played in half a year because of irl stuff and I thought I was trippin when money making felt slower

I got double cash a loooong time ago but every now and then i play without it to stay sharp, the game just feels less playable without it.

imma stick with my marketplaces and wall street instead of farmer

Pro tip: use door gunner (0-5-0 MK Heli pilot) on fav trade and you then will get global increase sellback and cash ability

Shoots bananas at bloons and MOAB tiers, along with boosting other sources of income by 100%, and boosting banana farm income by 250% This is all I could think of so far, banana farm paragon would be pretty cool and help some players get other paragons earlier, resulting in some players being able to beat older personal round records, faster Sorry if this is a lot of text lol, I just love the idea of a banana farm paragon

This hardly matters at all. Getting less money earlier is typically ALWAYS better than getting more money later because you can reinvest. The smaller snowball you get from the early rounds makes so much more of a difference than getting 5k per round from Ben by round 100, because you can get a paragon or two without him by that point anyway. It makes elite bosses even harder to get into because you're gatekept by early game farming

TLDR: The game is to optimized with all the different things you can do. The people who are good 'sweats' have guides and are destroying the 'harder' game modes ninja kiwi puts out. So they keep slightly nerfing everything to actually give people a challenge. But does this help? Since it just makes it way harder for the casual player to try or even attempt the insane game modes. While the hardcore people, will min max the hard mode for 60 tries cuz that is what is 'fun' for them. Who knows what is best, and there will not be a perfect answer where everyone is happy. The challenge edits with different towers, least cash, tiers, etc.. does help with variety.

Yeah, this is why I don't bother with farming anymore. I'll just cash drop to start the farm early and it's done. Only the CHIMPS mode is what matters to the border colors anyway. If you have played enough, you'd realise you have at least 100,000 monkey money, so why not spend it? I am also busy so I sometimes let dark castle play on deflation as I work until I have a lot of monkey money for the powers I used.

You guys are having problems? I still use hbomb’s farming strat used for when miniopolis was nerfed for the FIRST TIME. That was like 10 updates ago, before dreadbloon. Most casuals don’t even do 1 farm monkeyopolis and the only notable nerfs at all to me are ben nerfs and banana central nerfs. Ben is not even allowed half the time. God I hate it when people treat a 10% nerf like the end times.

Honestly farming is overpowered in normal game modes anyway.

I don't think the nerfs were deserved. Farming was balanced before nk started nerfing farming towers. Even if nk nerfed farms at least make the boss events easier. If you compare this year's boss events to last year's boss events you can see a clear increase in difficulty. Farming nerfs make bosses more annoying to play so you need to min max harder to get the same amount of income that you got before.

why does NK enjoy causing suffering? ima need ranked players to start playing badly on purpose so maybe NK will think they nerfed too hard 😂

What OP forgot to mention is after lvl 11 Benjamin has his income scaled up drastically, raising his lvl 11 income from 300 to 1000, up to a max of 5000 at max level

I have a couple questions… What is a good time to start switching from 3rd to 4th tier farms or buccaneers? How many farms should u have before round 40? I know that there isn’t really a specific answer but a general estimate would be cool. Sometimes I feel like I worry about the amount of farms on the map and mess up the overall efficiency.

I don't think counting farms is a good way to look at it. For boss events, the two main things you have to look at are 1) can I defeat the current boss that's coming up with my money (including selling)? and 2) will I be able to generate enough money for the next after boss? 1) is relatively simple. 1st tier boss usually needs the least money (carpet of spikes is good in general except Dreadbloon support immunity), 2nd tier has a few specific towers you need (MAD for anything other than Dreadbloon) and from 3rd on you will have to have enough money for paragons (3rd actually you can get away with a degree 1 dart, which is ~350k). 2) is usually where things get tricky. If you have to sell everything to defend the current tier and you can't defeat it within 5 or so rounds, you will fall behind in farming. Exception of course is the last tier. This is usually why the 1st and 2nd tier bosses are the most intense. You don't have a solid defence set up and you need to balance building that up with getting a good farming going. You can't yet afford the 4th tier banana farms yet that are very efficient, so you have to resort to using bottom path engie, bottom path alchemist, maybe even middle path druids and snipers (druids are bit more finnicky as they need banana farms to generate enough money to be worth it, but a couple of 000 farms should be fine). Normally, you want to get 4th tier farms and buccaneers asap as they are so much more efficient than 3rd tier ones. Buccaneers especially since they are cheap. After the 1st boss tier, you can even sell other farms to get a 4th tier farm BUT you need time for it to generate more money than it cost you, which is about 7-9 rounds. If the boss is coming in 10 or more rounds, you should focus on getting 4th tier farms. 3rd tier farms take about 5 rounds to pay for themselves so be mindful of that (if you think you will have to sell them to buy the defence, you better off not buying the farms in the first place). Again, there are a lot of exceptions, but if you make enough money to afford to defeat the current coming tier boss, you can buy more 4th tier farms. This will come up in 4th and 5th tiers of the boss mainly. Buccaneers are a lot less specific, as you only need to spam them. Get a 3rd tier down asap, a few extra 3rd tiers alongside it then focus on getting the 4th tiers. They will quickly start ramping up to the point you can buy a 4th tier every round or so. They can participate in the defence which is great but not on every map, which should be considered. They are also not enough to defend against a boss by themselves.

On balance, it should be noted that these changes would only be noticed by intensely competitive players in serious ranked content. If you aren't putting up top 50 scores on bosses and don't read the patch notes its unlikely you're even aware that anything is different.

I mean it should be hard. If you farm on any map below advanced it’s a very easy victory

But you should know that most of game modes in BTD6 farming isn't necessary.

They're not pushing casual players away, they're implementing different challenges for tryhards. If boss events are too hard, don't play them. There is a ton of content to do at lower skill levels and ways to practice if you want to get better. Also, it's not like I'm some sweat telling you to just get good, I have yet to beat an elite boss myself.

A cash drop costs 100 monkey money. Elite bosses give around 800. Just use one man, no ones stopping you. There’s more to this game than just one single mode. Also, you already payed your 8 dollars, so there’s no need to announce your departure.

Farming doesn't feel hard to me. It doesn't seem impossible to me. There is no problem with that for me.
