Today I downloaded BTD5 and went on a mission to figure out what exactly made the Bloonchipper so strong and why it is not getting added in BTD6. The tower was ridiculous.

    If bloonchipper would even possibly exist in any way but still reasonable, it would need to be a hero. Even though it would be a mix of pat fusty and sauda, I would say it might work if they thought of something completely different for it.

    I've been thinking about a Bloonchipper hero concept for a while. If I ever get around to it (sorta motivated now because of this video) I'll post it on the BTD6 subreddit.

    I just imagine the hero to be an engineer monkey sitting on top of a bloonchipper (like the Sentry Champion art shows with a sentry)

    One thing I find very interesting about the whole stalling argument... Blooncrush and Superstorm exist. As for it being able to instantly kill anything, that's nothing a pierce cap can't fix.

    what do you mean by “superstorm and bloon crush exist”? are you saying “theres too many stalling towers, we dont need chipper” or “theres already stalling towers, we need more”? and im not so sure a simple “pierce cap” will be able to “fix” the bloon chipper. one-shotting just 1 moab at a good rate with no cooldown is very op in early game. and for late game, it would mean almost nothing as there would be too many bloons. that would make a very unbalanced tower.

    @@aydenator2770 he means that they're saying that the stalling of the bloonchipper is to op and is bassically a perma stall yet the blooncrush and superstorm bassically do the same thing, also for 1 shotting moabs i'd say just remove that feature and instead add a natural ability that comes back every 30 seconds or so and it grabs a set amount of moab class bloons except for the B.A.D and bassically knocks them back, also a pierce cap would definitly help in balancing it out but not entirely balance it out

    @@bigironcheems9278 well, the thing is, those 2 tier 5s are very expensive, while the bloonchipper is not. and those have pierce caps, which the comment didnt mention. though, a pierce cap could fix THAT.

    @@bigironcheems9278 price is relevant, you have to sink about 50k (don't know the actual numbers, sorry) for stun while with 2k you can put down four bloon chippers and stall.

    The closest thing to MOAB suck in BTD6 is XXXL trap which works fine, in my opinion something like the Bloonchipper could work if only its upgrades were more expensive but it had some downtime like the trap. It'd be cool to see but considering we have things like paragons now idk if its worth it

    Having the MOAB shred as an ability with a cool down seems like a good way to balance it, but then it'd be similar to the Pirate Lord's ability but not infinite range

    imo: they should add bloonchipper as an easter egg on the scrapyard map. As we have the ability to target the cleansing foam it would be funny to use the foam to "clean" the dirt off of the bloonchipper covered in mud. Its honestly a surprise to me that they haven't done this yet. They could just treat it like the caveman monkey and give it no upgrade paths. The following would be unrealistic but i would love to see it have upgrades (maybe up to the old tier 2s or even 3s; heavily increased prices ofc). This would honestly be unrealistic but if ninja kiwi adds this i bet a lot of fans would enjoy it.

    Yes, so it can be OP, but not too OP at the same time. Maybe share the MOAB suck like the 4-2, at like lvl 10 and become more powerful at later levels for BFB and ZOMG bloons, and/or make it an ability that can suck MOABS and normal bloons like the 2-4 can in BTD 5.

    Super Wide Funnel would have to be a 5th tier, and something else would have to be a 4th tier upgrade, just so that you can’t spam a ton of MOAB-munchers. Supa Vac would also have to be a 5th tier so that spamming the ability isn’t excessively strong. A weaker version of the ability would have to serve as the 4th tier, having significantly less Pierce and maybe other limitations.

    4th tier ability could just be a speed increase for a time, like Quincy's level 3 or Turbo Charge boomerang. Actually now that I think of it, in a way it'd be almost just like Artillery Battery and Pop and Awe, where the tier 4 ability just increases attack speed, and the tier 5 is a whole map coverage thing.

    3rd path: sucks up bloons to spit them back out at other bloons, dealing damage to both. If it tries to suck up moab class bloons, it would do some damage and fire wood chips back out at them instead

    @@dragostorm259Actually that's a great idea for the 3rd path, or at the very least least for one of its upgrades. Maybe even non-Moab Bloons do increased damage based on tier, like spitting a ceramic Bloon does a lot higher damage than spitting out a lower tier Bloon would, or there are tiers, like black/white and up do 2 or 3 damage or have higher pierce or smth.

    Why not create a hero to balance things? Personally, I like the idea of adding in AL, he was the monkey listed as owning the ,”Al’s custom chippers” specialty building in BTD5, so it’d be both a cool way to introduce the chipper back, while giving us insight into who AL is, since all we had in BTD5 was just his specialty building, nothing else.

    Something I noticed in BTD6 is that every tower category has a super expensive tower besides the primary towers, so maybe to balance it, make the base tower cost around 1k, upgrades expensive aswell, maybe less range and slower suction speed, and make it so that it can’t normally suck in the same Bloons twice. This comment is just me brainstorming lol

    Heres how it could be added to BTD6 well being balanced in my opinion. The Standard 0-0-0 bloonchipper would not be able to damage Ceramic, Pop Lead, or See Camo. Its base stats would be (prices based as if it would be used in Chimps or Impoppable) Base Damage: 1 Base Range: 20 Base Pierce: 1 Attack Speed: Once every second Base Price: $600 Tower Category: Support (I was thinking about maybe moving it to Primary but keeping it in support would also work) Base chipper can only pull in up to pink Bloons --------------------------------- PATH ONE (Good at Dealing with Blimps and supporting towers) 1-0-0 ($300) Secondary Blower motor: Installs a blower motor on the side that can blower back bloons, no fus! Can Blow all bloons Tier 3 (Green) and below back a little on the track. 2-0-0 ($800) Support Blower: Can now Blow back up to Pink Bloons and Can select a tower in the radius of the Blower to lock on to. When Locked on, the Blower will specially target all projectiles from that tower and blow them at the bloons causing the projectile to travel much faster and gain +1 pierce. Only works on one monkey at a time. 3-0-0 ($2,200) Super Blower: The Chipper pretty much becomes a giant blower motor! Can blow back even rainbow bloons now, but only slightly slows ceramics and leads. Blower buffed projectiles now gain +1 Damage as well! (Only stacks up to two Blowers) 4-0-0 ($11,500) Mega Blower: Blowing so strong it can slow MOABs by 60%, BFBs by 20%, ZOMGs, by 10%, and can completely halt ceramics and Leads in place. Can now blower buff two towers at the same time, giving them slightly increased range, and an additional +2 pierce and +1 Ceramic and Fortified damage along with making the projectiles fly MUCH faster! 5-0-0 ($55,000) The BloonStripper: A blower so freaking strong that not even blimps can be blown back, they are just pulled apart in air by the blowers insane power! Gains the ability to damage blimps. Slows MOABs by 90% and shreds them apart faster then you can think, Slows BFBs by 40% doing massive damage, slows ZOMGs by 25% also doing massive damage, and absolutely blows apart BADs. Targeting a tower now makes their projectiles fly at the speed of light and gain an additional +4 Damage and +2 pierce (now does 500 damage per second to all blimps, excluding DDTs) PATH TWO (Ceramic and DDT crusher) 1-0-0 ($400) Chimptanium Chipper blades: Does not suck in bloons faster but now does +1 Damage 2-0-0 ($1,100) Louder Chipping: Bloons that are spat out of the chipper move slightly slower after being disoriented from the violence of the chippers insides! (slows affected bloons by 40% for 2 seconds) 3-0-0: ($1,400) Gas powered Chipper!: Can now pull in two bloons at once and does and pulls them in twice as fast! (Doubles attack speed and can also now pull in up to Zebra bloons) 4-0-0: ($5,500) Bloontonium chipper blades: Can now pull in Ceramics and absolutely destroys them! Excels and killing Ceramics and strips fortifications from most small bloons!) Does little damage most bloon types but one shots ceramics, along with all the its spawn. 5-0-0: ($42,000) Fusion Powered Chipper: Sucks in Bloons three times as fast and now one shots DDTs. As it sucks in Ceramics and DDTs it will fill a meter. When fully charged, it will blast out ceramic shards in its front direction doing massive damage! (Sends out a cone of 50 shards, all of which can do 100 damage each and have 3 pierce, the tower can now also target camo!) PATH THREE (Deals with large Bloon Groups) 1-0-0 ($200) Chipper Chipper: Stronger motors increase the range of which the Chipper can operate 2-0-0 ($850) Engineer's touch: Bloons that exit the chipper will be laced with screws that fall off after just one second but for a brief moment, all bloons that come into contact with them take 1 Damage! 3-0-0 ($3,000) Double Chipper!: Adds a second chipper both with their own targeting priority! Both Chippers pull in bloons twice as fast and can pull in up to Rainbow bloons! 4-0-0 ($4,355) Razor Engineering: Both chippers are equipped with thin but incredibly sharp and red hot blades that tear through bloons three times as fast! Chipper can chips through 6 layers of bloons at once and can now also pop lead but can not attack ceramics or blimps 5-0-0 ($38,000) The GigaChipper: Adds ANOTHER chipper to the mix and can now pull in 20 bloons per second PER CHIPPER! Chipper gains another +4 damage to all bloons. Can now attack ceramics but does very poor damage to them and fortified bloons. Im not sure if you guys would say any of this is balanced but I feel like the kinks could be worked out and adjusted!

    I saw a very interesting take on this tower on the subreddit, which toned down the old upgrades and added a third path that would send bloons tumbling back down the track to deal extra damage. I really liked this tower in BTD5 tbh. I think it's entirely possible to balance, albeit it would need larger reworks than most towers got.

    The best idea I had for the BloonChipper is to make it have a capacity. For example: Base BloonChipper would have a capacity of 20 Bloons, each Bloon sucked up would stay in the BloonChipper until it's full, then after a few seconds, all of the Bloons take one damage and then it would spit out the Bloons back to their original position. To use this idea to its fullest, the bottom path would have 2 capacity upgrades and the third tear would shoot the left over rubber out the back as a projectile.

    @@__8120 Kind of. It would suck up Bloons and hold them there until it's full. Then it would shred them all at one over a 3 second period, then wait a second or two, then shoot them back out the funnel. If the bottom path tier 3 is bought, then while it is shredding, the back of the BloonChipper will face the target( which would be like the Robo Monkey and have two target selections). When the Bloons are shot out, the shredded rubber from the Bloons will fire out the back, like a weaker Buckshot. All pathes would take 3 seconds to shred and 2 seconds to blow the Bloons out, unless Faster Shredding is bought, then it would have a 2 seconds shred and 1 second to blow out. As a nerf to make it more balanced, damage and attack speed buffs would not work on BloonChipper.

    third path idea t1 range upgrade (moved from other path, replace that upgrade with attack speed or something) t2 another range upgrade t3 adds a blowback effect after finishing shredding a bloon (attack speed would be nerfed for the base tower) t4 removes suction so it only blows back bloons, also blows out shrapnel and debris for low pierce low damage attacks (think Dbreath but with no damage and decent knockback for blowing) t5 all attacks get increased attack speed and pierce, occasionally creates a small whirlwind that can affect moabs, and to a lesser extent, ddts and bfbs. This path really focuses on stalling, while turning the tower into a more conventional stall tower that can also deal ok damage to whatever it can't blowback

    the instakill nature of the chipper doesn't mesh well with the scaling bloon stats of btd6. If it can kill cerams/moabs, regardless of hp it is too strong, if it can't, it's too weak. Also Ninjakiwi seems to have been removing infinite stalling from the game for a while now, so it goes against the game's direction.

    I took the "hard to balance" as a challenge, and I think I have a basic feel on what BTD6 bloonchipper could look like. Each path also has "themes" just like in BTD6 Path 1: I decided for the first 2 it would be suckier and even suckier, just because of balance, and tier 3 is actually sucking up lead and ceramic, but now when you pop leads and ceramics, it fills up the amount of lead and ceramic pieces that are in it, and eventually the 'chipper will get clogged, and you'll have to manually take the pieces out. Tier 4 builds on this and increases the amount of pieces that can be held in the bloonchipper before getting full. Tier 5 is the Super wide funnel, and not nerfed, as it's a tier 5 upgrade. Path 2: This one obviously has the ability, as all middle paths do. Tier 1&2 increase the range, and right here I'm debating over whether to have it increase from 1 to 2 barrels, or keep it as it was and have 3 barrels, so I'm gonna leave that debate there... Tier 4, while keeping the name, is a nerfed version that it was in 5, as it has a limit on the amount of bloons being held, and a shorter time. Tier 5 increases the limit a lot, and has the time BTD5's chipper has. Path 3: First is faster shred, and second is camo detection. (Maybe it shreds the camo off the bloon or something.) Next is, albeit underwhelming, is just an even faster shred speed, although this could change to something else, like increases the time between popping and having the bloon get back on the track, although that sounds more of a path 1 type of thing. Tier 4 is Dual Layer from BTD5, and tier 5 also increases the amount of pops it gets like Tier 4, popping up to 5 layers at a time. Also the themes if you couldnt tell are: Path 1 sucks up alot, Path 2 increases range, and path 3 shreds. If you have any suggestions then feel free to reply ig

    I don’t really know why any of the things listed are problems since similar mechanics already exist in btd6 (bloon traps, Druid of the jungle, downdraft, Moab shove, summon whirlwind, etc.) All you do is nerf the cooldown, pierce or price until it’s balanced. Honestly, it seems like they just wanted to spread out the bloonchipper’s feature concept across other tower upgrades

    why cant it solo early rounds, there lots of heros that can already: eitenne, adora, geraldo, gwen, obyn, and quincy. obviously some more than others, and each has their own weaknesses like lead or camo.

    It really does suck that they aren't making it but if they did they would go all in on a stalling tower, make it a support class and make it do very little damage but focus on keeping bloons away from the exit in the first place.

    1: maybe make it and the upgrades pricier. 2: give its ability a longer cooldown, a shorter duration, and a pierce cap. 3: maybe after a while it heats up and takes a little while to cool down. Needing to cool down to absorb bloons again. 4: make it only be able to suck up bfb’s with its ability and maybe like 1 zomg. 5: make tier 5 suck up to about 4 zomg’s max before getting overheated. I think with all these changes we could see a nice return to the bloonchipper.

    For an idea for the three routes, I can see one route being focus on sucking up and dealing big damage to a few balloons, and another one being able to rapidly suck up multiple balloons. But, I think a third fun route would be based off what you mentioned in the video, bloonchipper being a staller. Tier 1 upgrade (wind blades) will let it suck up balloons like camo, and instead of damaging them, stripping them of their affect (like for camo, it will be stripped of camo, now letting any tower pop them) Tier 2 upgrades (advance shredding) will be one that adds a new feature, letting you select where in the bloonchipper's range you want it to suck up and drop a balloon, letting you try and do some fun combos. Alongside this, it gains more range to suck up balloons, allowing for you to be able to do even more combos. To stop it from being too powerful, there is a limit of the balloons it can suck at a time, the balloons can't be thrown through walls, and you can't suck the balloons back up after launching them Tier 3 upgrade (Net Vac) will now allow monkeys to attack balloons that are in the shredder, thanks to the new design having a section that is a net, which is where the balloon is located in while it's in the chipper, letting other towers use the stall of the chipper even more. Tier 4 upgrade (Sticky Net) increases the amount of time a balloon is inside of the chipper, as well as increasing the amount of balloons that can be in it at a time, letting you be able to stall even more balloons even longer Tier 5 upgrade (Net Chippings) will make it so every time a balloon exits the blooonchipper, there is a chance a net a like thing pops out alongside them, staying there for a few seconds. The net is located where the exit of the bloonchipper is set, and any balloons that float across it will be severely slowed down, giving a bit of time for other towers to pop the balloons And an idea for the Paragon would have the ability to suck up MOABs and maybe even higher tier balloons, have an increase chance of launching out nets, with a big net being launched out for the bigger balloons, and being quick with sucking up balloons, with the ability still being there, but even faster

    Bloonchipper is too legendary of a sentient contraption for Ninja Kiwi to balance. I think ceramic clogging (Bloonchipper's main weakness in btd5) could be explored more, and perhaps apply to fortified moabs/bloons as well? For the second path, the ability having infinite pierce isn't as gamebreaking as it could come across, since it doesn't actually pop bloons. Being pure support means that it relies heavily on making sure you already have solid enough bloon popping power. I'm not sure of what a third path would be, but I can definitely think of some interesting ideas, such as stunning/collecting income sources similarly to its BTD5 specialty building, some form of defortification/property wiping, extremely efficient superceramic popping power, or something else

    Ceramics weren’t a weakness I think that was the bloonchippers strong point, holding in ceramics. It was especially helpful in Bloons Monkey City on a ZOMG Tile where you get ceramics on round 3 sometimes. Bloonchippers just give it a good suck while the ninjas go at it from behind

    @@joogaloo929 Yes, unupgraded chippers in btd5 were very good and cost-effective against ceramics, which would probably be best as an upgrade early in the wide funnel path to increase the cost of it. You didn't want ceramics in your super wide funnels though unless there is no MOABS spawning, it would prevent it from sucking in another MOAB and hence hinder its effectiveness

    I think its fair that its not in btd6. Its one of those spammy towers like canons and mortars and i dont really like that. Its fine being in battles 1 and btd5 cuz that game has a lot of spammy towers anyways but i liked btd6 for having towers that can do good on their own. Bloon chipper would be hard to balance cuz on its own it sucks and when you have lots of them its kinda op.

    I think another reason why it's not coming back is bc of the amount of camo detection there is in btd6 compared to btd5, it's biggest weakness was camo and there wasn't that much camo detection options like in btd6. Plus it would also destroy DDTs with all of the camo detection options and pretty much the late game would be a few bloon chippers and ceramic killers. Imagine round 95 or 98 with the bloon chipper

    Imho Psi's Lvl 14, 16 and 20 abilities are very similar, too. I find the option to blow bloons around the map being damaged from other towers very unique and interesting and would love to see this tower in BTD6. The three pathes could be focused on speed, number of bloons and type of bloons that could be sucked in.

    I actually made concepts of the 3rd bloonchipper path and how to balance everything, but I lost the paper I drew and wrote it on. I remember that the top path was the moab stalling path, middle was the supa vac path and bottom was more barrels. I think it would be easy to balance. wide funnel - give it the glaive lord treatment maybe supa vac - have tier 4 have a pierce limit and tier 5 make ultra strong. more barrels - pretty self explainatory

    My idea is that it would be similar to the Cave monkey, and the bloonchipper will have no upgrades and you’ll have to be on a specific map to get it. The map being scrapyard. and instead of having to use a mortar you have to use cleansing foam to get the bloonchipper out of the dirt

    i really stand by my point of its just a case of them not wanting to add it BTD5 was in a era were T5s didnt exist same with the 3rd path in general. make the moab sucking ability be way less strong and make it the T5 and way more costly. and for the 2nd path make the one ability have a limit and make its cooldown super long and again up its price also i do like the concept idea of it being a ice shooter like a snowblower or whatever but that kinda gets in the way of the ice monkey so idk. though for the last bit if you mean how it would literally look we got the 3d model on the scrapyard map [if you use the freecam mod you can see they fully modelled it].

    It would be cool if they added an overheating mechanic, ir sucks up some Bloons and then has to cool down, or a container mechanic, where it can only hold up to a certain amount of Bloons before running out of space to suck up more, the Bloons he’s stalling need to be popped for the chipper to suck more, and I just realized those are possible paths, faster cooling or more storage

    Two things that could happen is: or becomes a hero (best way to balance it as upgrades can be easily adjusted for less overpowering and because you'll only place one). Or it simply doesn't get added anymore and will serve as a memory from btd5/battles and remains of the bloonchipper in a btd6 track

    I was hoping that it would be the engineer paragon's sentry. Because its basically a combination of a bloon trap and a sentry and it definietely is a support tower for its stalling. Sadly the engineer paragon was the biggest disappointment wr got since the release of btd battles 2

    I think a lot of the basic utility of the BC is great and worth balancing the tower. One thing I really like about it is being a short range sniper in terms of its ability to target cerams and leads without other bloons being able to get in the way. This is great because a BC can filter out strong bloons like that at a specific point in the track, which can act as a failsafe in a more nuanced way than a spike factory. The utility of letting other towers target the bloons its currently attacking by moving the bloons closer to the other tower is also really cool. the fire rate being only limited by the amount of bloons its currently processing was also cool. Reworking it as a weak tower that can only process 1 bloon at a time, then making its paths improve bloon capacity, range/processing rate, and lead/camo/regrow/support would work great. I think mass bloon stalling and MOAB killing should be scrapped. Like I could imagine a support one being able to prioritize leads, magic, and camo, and stripping those properties so any tower can pop them while those bloons are being processed. Bloon capacity path could provide a more spike factory like utility to deal with bursts of bloons, and range/processing rate could give dps support while being a precaution against fast pinks, and might even add a unique targeting option to target weak bloons, to really support something like a corrosive glue or other towers that want to target strong isolated bloons.

    I think that the bloon chipper should be avalible on Scrapyard if you use a cleansing foam engineer on the rusty bloon chipper. It doesn't even need any upgrades, just make it Cave Monkey 2. If you want to make it a tower, make it a hero or something so you can't have 20 bloonchippers all sucking moabs.

    As weird as it would be I think the chipper would only work as a hero tower. The limit of one per game and the fact it has only one upgrade path makes it easier to balance and allows for the op powers just much much later in the game due to how deep they are in the tower's levels Edit: i posted this before reading any comments lmfao and now see other ppl said this. haha

    I feel that adding a pierce cap, keeping the damage fairly low, and increasing the price would help to balance it, it was so good in BTD5 in part because of how cost effective it was for what it could do.

    1:38 To be fair though, that much super Vacs costs like more than 50k which is a pretty balanced price for a defense that can infinitely stall bloons. Most tier 5 towers that price (or even cheaper) specializing in super ceramic/bloon cleanup can easily deal with massive bloon rushes (ex. bloon solver)

    the ability to suck in higher class moabs like zomgs would have to be an ability, like the fifth middle tier for the Buccaneer. Maybe a possible paragon upgrade for it could make it more like the broken form it had in the 5, as paragons are OP by design.

    I was thinking of a hero, my thoughts were a mechanist hero. The level three ability would be "Part Shift" which would swap the arms between an close range aoe bloonchipper and a long range energy lance. The chipper is better for Bloons but the lance is better for moabs and ceramics. And at higher level the chipper works on super ceramics making the lance the Moab option late game. Instead of sucking Bloons in it would tear layers off from everything in front of it. The level ten ability would be "Hyper Vac/Super Charge" which would swap alongside the arms in Part Shift. Hyper Vac would immobilize all bloons and moabs in range and would insta pop all non moabs for 5 seconds. Super Charge would make the Lance deal insane damage and fire at high speed for 6 seconds.

    The bloonchipper doesn't really have space for it to work in btd6, the only thing i could think of is that since it is so busted, why not make it a final gambit in the defense? Make it really strong and a bit more expensive, but make it so it literally shreds the bloons, you get less or even no money from the layers the bloonchipper shreds, so it can be used if you think you're already ok with your defense or if you can't beat a specific round with your current defense or normal towers. Or make it a power, that would be funny

    The problem was that stalling was a direct counter to ramping. Boonchipper spam (1000+ of them) and a few temples to speed things up (you didnt even need them, would just take longer) allowed you to go to round 2500 i belive. Without bloonchipper id say 300-500 would be the absolute limit. Imagine zomgs leaving the screen in 2 seconds after spawning but instead they dont, they keep getting stuck until they die

    idea for bottom path t1 can suck up 2 ballons at once t2 can pull camos with advanced tech t3 can give a small buff to any suport towers around it t4 gains a passive ability : when there is a moab all towers aroud it do extra dmg to moabs t5 will permanatly buff any primary or suport towers near it with 25% attack speed buff

    personally the way i'd do it is top path is moab distruction, mid is for bloon collection, and bottom is for banana collection (callback to 5 like most of the third paths are like) so top path i would go with top path: more powerful engine [deals more damage to bloons and strips a layer off of bloons entering] , bloontonium tipped blades [can pop leads and deal extra damage to ceramics and fortafied bloons], wide funnel [can suck in moabs, (takes 12 seconds to destroy , xl funnel [can now target bfb's taking 12 seconds to destroy the bfb, while reducing moab destruction to 8 seconds rather than 12], Al's Chipper [ insta-kills moabs, takes 3 seconds to take down bfb's, and can target zomg's but has to spit it back out on the track due to overheating and requires time to cool down due to the engine strain.] midpath would be: wider range [allows bloonchipper to reach father], dual funnel [slightly increases range farther, and adds a second funnel to suck in two bloons at once], quad funnel [adds two additional funnels to suck in 4 bloons at once], Supa-vac [can now suck in all non fortafied bloons within range and sending all but ceramics back to the start of the map (not infinite)], Huricane-Vac [can now draw in all bloon types across the map except moabs to the bloonchipper, deal some damage while in the bloonchipper's vortex, and sends all bloons back to the start while blowing fortafied off of bloons with fortafication(not infinite)] bottom path: efficient processing [5% increase to money gained through bloons popped], recycler [15% increase to money gained through popped bloons], banana peeler [bloonchipper can now collect banana's in its radius and improves the price of bananas collected by the bloonchipper and periodically places banana peels in the track near the chipper that stun bloons that pass over the peel but do no damage], Automatic Crate Processing [can now collect crates and now spews peels across the track randomly stunning bloons doing minor damage from wood chips]

    If they brought it back I think the moab suck should be a midpath teir 5 ability that leaves the tower unable to attack for a couple seconds after use, with supavac being replaced by a top path that focuses less on stalling and more on crowd control by speeding up the process in exchange for losing the ability to throw bloons back. A third path could be a more support focused one increasing the piercing of any machine towers (bomb shooter, tac shooter, spike factory) and helping as a cleanup tower.

    i'm not sure how it would work or if it would be balanced but an overheat mechanic almost like ben's ability where it has to cool down after sucking in enough bloons or enough time has passed for it to shut down, with the 3rd path being about reducing the time it stays downed

    They could've added it as a part of the engineer paragon. It being limited to not only a paragon but also only 1 at a times because of the engineer's ability would make balancing it way easier than it being a stand alone tower.

    If you look closely to the map scrapyard you can see a broken down bloonchipper, which probably confirms it how much the devs hated it that they put it to scrap.

    Here are my ideas for the bloonchipper...around a year late. Make the moab/blimp shred an ability rather than the global suction thing, it puts a cap on the thing that made it very powerful in BTD5 in the first place, I think that solves most of the problems right there as the rest is just tweeking numbers, but moving on the paths. Top path-suction and shred speed upgrades with a focus on bloon damage, this is where the triple barrel and supa vac would be Middle path-capacity upgrades, as mentioned before, this is where the moab suction ability will be. This path will focus on the stalling power of the bloonchipper Bottom path (a bit more detailed since this is my idea for the third path)-lead popping upgrade and maybe a camo detection upgrade. 3rd upgrade, "rubber recycling" basically for every layer the bloom chipper pops it fills up a tank until it spits out a pile of rubber based glue onto the track, kinda like a weaker version. 4th upgrade, "advanced recycling" pops near the bloonchipper now fill up the tank and the bloonchipper now incorporates lead and ceramics pops into a second tank in which, once full will grant a temporary damage buff to nearby towers. 5th upgrade, "Waste not Want not" blimp layers popping near the bloonchipper fill it up substantially alongside increased glue slow and damage buff. Point of this path is to make the bloonchipper even more of a support tower

    Well Psi also has that "take in and don't let anything attack while it does damage" ability so it seems like they just handed its skills to other towers

    I think it could work. One path be mostly just shredding balloons but the amount it stalls is reduced, one path where you sacrifice speed for only Moab and bfb popping with again low or almost now slowing, and maybe a path where it gets enchanted Thus unable to attack purple balloons, But it gets it's full stalling ability. Maybe?

    I think the Moab eating funnel could work similarly to the top path beast handler. (Sucks in one at a time. Tier 4 can hit Moab’s, bfbs and DDTs, tier 5 can hit Zomgs) Increase the time between super vacs. And the third one could make projectiles out of destroyed balloons. They also should make it work like x3x Druid where it attacks one target, takes it all the way down to 0 before attacking again. Time to kill would very depending on health of the balloon

    I like how they basically "Took it apart" so to speak and used different parts in different towers and upgrades But I can definitely see why they dont like the Chipper

    For the moab stuff, id say make it tier 5 instead of tier 4, and have it only work on basic moabs and DDTs, and have tier 4 be extra layer popping power instead (that or extra damage to ceramic). Ill get back to the supa vac and third path later because my mind is kinda out of it at the moment

    I think it can be done with some changes, maybe instead they can have it as a on the track tower. kind of like the pineapples but it just stays there. have it were it doesn't suck stuff in but letting stuff pass through it getting damaged by it. slowing stuff down only while in it. hmm maybe even have conveyers to it. i always think of a conveyer idea for bloons something to re path the bloons how you want forcing bloons into a single path or extend the path of short tracked maps. these ideas could work if you do it right. I think more on the track stuff is needed and would be cool to see. what are some other on the track ideas can you all think of. but I mainly play bloons monkey city and have touched much of the other games. I need a bloons monkey city2 please with all the new stuff. ps. i think they did pretty good with the bloonchipper in bloons monkey city.

    Tier 5 upgrade for wide funnel path could be were it gets a ability that alows it to instantly destroy even a fortified BAD. However it has a EXTREMELY long cooldown and gets no other benefit from tier 5

    I'd say, change the chipper to only face the direction you initially place it down in. Bloons can only enter the front. So, have its direction be the 3rd upgrade paths mechanic. The ability to turn 40 degrees> greater turning 80 degrees> camo detection> the last upgrade adding 3 extra suction vents to create a 4 "sided" bloon chipper with greater range and/or capacity. As for its ability to suck in moabs, have the time it takes to shred the moab act as it's cool down. So simply increase the time it takes for it to shred moabs to nerf the cool down. You could also have bloons leaving the chipper move at a higher speed down the track for a duration after being shot out. Just my personal crackpot take.

    Top path damage, middle path better range and allows more to be sucked in and bottom path could be some utility, like glue for 2 seconds or slows MOABs when nearby, not suck them in, but slows them down in an area, IDK it is kinda hard to balance it Or make it a sentient hero, that the ability can turn into a bloonchipper for about 7 seconds and as it upgrades, gives it some wider funnels and shreds faster, with the second ability having the sucking ability, with the pierce going up as the hero levels up, and at lvl 13 can now target MOABs in its chipper ability and LVL 17 do bfb and DDTs if able to see camo and LVL 20 just slows ZOMGs or sucks them in if they're low enough health

    I think maybe you could spend like 2000 on the broken one on scrapyard to get for that game, but unlike the cave monkey you can upgrade it like in btd5 (or maybe with the t4s at t5)

    maybe make it so wide funnel doesent deal damedge to moabs but just stuns then for a while while other towers can attack it, so it still keeps its purpose as a stalling tower while also not being able to solo 30 moabs, that and make a "balloon chipping" limit, wich would also be apart of its third crosspath were as more balloons stack inside the chipper, it would slow down its chipping proccess to each balloon seperatly, bassicaly it would have a set DPS that wouldent change depending on the amount of balloons inside of it, so even if there was 20 balloons inside of it, it had to chip each one, one at a time acting more like a big balloon storage unit rather then just an offensive unit

    to be honest, i never found the bloonchipper to have enough sucking to suck every single bloon or MOAB there was. i simply PREFERED other towers like tack shooter and it's inferno ring upgrade

    I think they should add things such as lore of why the bloonchipper wasn't allowed in btd6 like Bloonchipper was outlawed as shown in scrapyard (which might be a joke of the idea of the bloonchipper being scrapped for btd6

    Balance ideas: 1.cost 500 money every round to keep on ( +250 per upgrade) 2.make it slower and more expensive ( like 15.5k for a Moab killer or smth like that ) and finally 3. it can break after every 5 pops ( only small chance like 1% costs 1k to fix gets more expensive per upgrade [+500 per upgrade]) ups forgot to say that he’s not able to attack anything that isn’t a normal bloon ( without any upgrades that is)

    I can see to bloonchipper as an ability or a power. Hear me out, what if it was wheeled along the path like saudas sword charge and did damage to any bloon in front of it then expelling it from behind. I could see this as power or something

    They should just make it way more expensive and keep it the same. That way you cant get to round 100 super easily using loads of bloonchippers, but once you pass round 100 you can still mess around spamming loads of them. I loved getting to insane rounds just spamming them everywhere.

    Here’s my concept of the Bloonchipper: Top path: More Suck: Deals slightly more damage Heavy Duty Suction: Bloonchipper is able to suck in Lead and Ceramic bloons, dealing more damage to both. Wider funnel: Bloonchipper is able to suck in blue MOAB bloons. The Biggest Funnel: Is able to suck BFBs, and deals more damage to everything. Also strips off fortifications and regrow. Giga Suction: The Bloonchipper is able to suck in everything up to BADS, and deals LOADS of more damage. Middle path Faster Suck: Bloonchipper shreds bloons faster. Bloon Wash: Can now detect Camo bloons, and removes camo for any bloon damaged. Dual Suck: Bloonchipper gains TWO funnels for more damage. Premium Triple Suck: Bloonchipper now has three funnels. ABILITY: Reverse suction. When activated, All MOAB class bloons and normal bloons are blown backwards down the track for for three seconds. THE suckiest: Bloonchipper has an extra funnel, and the ability is stronger. Bottom path: Expanded holding cell: now holds in bloons, allowing for two bloons to be in the funnel. Bloon Deflation: Any non-moab class Bloon that exist the Bloonchipper will slowly deflate, making them move slower. Recycle, Repurpose: Bloonchipper spits out the popped layers on a side, and the plastic is sold shortly later for cash. Bloon Recycling Facotry: Bloonchipper converts into a small factory that sits on the track. And bloons that go through the path are sucked into the factory, where two layers are popped for even MORE cash. Deals more damage and can now attack MOAB class bloons. Rubber Power Plant: The Bloonchipper now takes in up two five bloons, and cash generation is increased highly. All monkeys in range of the factory have more range, and cash generation. Alchemists are highly buffed.

    Ninja distract makes bloons fly back to the start and in the same way as bloonchipper meaning you can have a ninja in the back blow a bloon which gets hit midflight

    The bloonchipper was always my favourite tower to use in Bloons monkey city, mainly for how stupidly op it is for stalling MOABs and even BFBs and ZOMGs

    If they would add it it´s possible that the now tier 4 becomes a tier 5 plus a longere cooldown for the ability the third path could maby spew air out to blow the bloons

    Just had a pierce limit and move the 2 tier 4 to 5. But i know it would be hard to imagine another path, the first path will be top and the second middle because it has an ability.

    Maybe the first path could focus on the pierce/number of Bloons it sucks up, with supa-vac on cool down for the t5. The second path could focus on layers popped, with the Moab vac on cool down for the t5 Third path could focus on attack speed, and allow other towers to attack the bloons being vac'd for the t5.

    If it would super wide funnel will be a tier 5 upgrade but netfed so that it takes 5-8 seconds to shred big bloons The middle path with be the usual. Ability will get Pierce Bottom one: gets the banana vaccum unique ability and focuses on range, camo popping bonus damage to ceramics

    I think it could be brought back, but instead of being a tower it could be a hero. It limits the number of bloonchippers you can have to one, it doesn't require a third path, it can turn the more Broken abilities of the chipper into abilities with cooldowns... And you can make it so that it only slows down blimps up to a certain level and needs to be leveled up to chip them (for example, level 5 for MOAB, 10 for BFB, 15 for DDT and 20 for ZOMG, cannot chip down a BAD). It'd be pretty balanced like this i think.

    Just have it overfill, something akin to the chomper in PvZ. Once it hit's it's limit it could shoot shrapnel so it's not just wasting away. One path focuses on stalling and holding, one focuses more on the shrapnel damage, and the third being aoe abilities, be it support, where it reverses and pushes back or massively slowls bloons, or attacks like taking in two MOABS and launching them at other bloons, massively damaging everything.

    How 2 balance bloon sucker Step one, make it so it's exclusive to a hero, and you can only have two at any given time, kind of like Geraldo and all of his stuff but they are destroyed alongside the hero. Maybe a dude who specialized in Non-monkey towers, like Bomb shooter, tak shooter, and nail factory. This would facilitate the need for an additional "non monkey" tower. Additionally, Bloon chipper will not naturally damage bloons. Instead, sucked up bloons are held within the chipper for a short period of time, and it can hold 5 bloons at a time of any type. It can only pop special bloons if an upgrade path allows it to. Top Path: -Suckier (Sucked bloons are in the chipper for longer) -Chipper Blades (can now pop bloons.) -Serrated Teeth (2 pops per bloon. Hold bloons for even longer.) -Diamond tipped (4 pops per bloon, can pop all bloon types. If it pops a lead, ceramic, or fortified bloon, it will fire shards of ceramic behind itself.) -Tier 5 allows it to pop 8 layers of bloons. It shoots shards of bloon for every bloon it pops, but rubber bloon bits deal half damage compared to Lead, ceramic, or fortified bloon bits. Mid Path: -Long range suck (longer range. What'd you expect?) -Vaccuum suction (sucks up bloons faster) -Wider barrel (can hold 10 bloons at a time now) -Heavy Barrel (Can suck up Moab class bloons up to a BFB, holding one in place until it has spat out any bloons it already holds. Can only do this once every 10 seconds. It's ability allows it to cycle bloons in it's radius when the ability is activated very quickly for 5 seconds. This allows nearby monkeys to attack the bloons) -It's fifth tier is double barrel. This lets it hold up to 20 bloons at once, and it can hold up to 2 Moabs or BFB's at once, or 1 Zomg. If you have "Chipper Blades", you also get 2 pops per bloon. It's ability causes the strongest Moab calss bloon on screen to be held, in addition to it's original effect. Bottom path: -Bloon Discomfort (Bloons are shot out closer to the start of the track. Does not effect Moab class bloons, if applicable) -Scare Tactics (Bloons within the chippers range may be scared and move towards the start of the track) -Bloon Blower (Instead of sucking up bloons, the Bloon Blower blows bloons towards the start of the track, similar to Downdraft of Helicopter fame. If you have "Chipper blades" the bloon blower will occasionally blow rubble towards the bloons. If you have Vaccume suck, bloon blower gains higher pierce which allows it to blow back more bloons) -Bloon back (Bloon Blower will suck up bloons behind it and spit them back out the front. If you have bloon blades, it will launch bloon bits as well, similar to the higher tiers of the top path. These bits have lower damage than even the top path projectiles, and has no effects for Lead, Ceramic, or fortified bloons. If you have vacuum suction the bloon blower gains even more pierce) -The fifth tier allows the bloon blower to conjure up great winds which effect bloons from a much larger distance. When a bloon escapes it's wrath, it retaliates by conjuring violent winds which blow back bloons a great distance and, if you have Bloon Blades, summons a large amount of shrapnel to deal large damage to bloons. Vaccume suck does not effect this ability. It can't get a paragon, and i'm also too lazy to think of one. Edit: It was painful to read to I put space between everyhting.

    Well, if the issue with the bloon suck ability is that it has infinate pierce then the solution is, make it not have infinate pierce and if the moab suck is too much value, then they could easily just increase it's cost, maybe like $20k and only works on moabs, then the t5 works aganst bfbs, could also give it the super mine treatment where it's fire rate slows down when grabbing this upgrade as well then for the middle path, maybe it could launch the bloons a bit further back to the start of the track
