Why Farmers Fail in getting good production; All you need to know about soil health.

It’s planting season. Like it has been routine, a lot of farmers have rushed to the farms to till and plant praying for bumper harvest without knowing this is the first mistake in their journey and in the end while others get great yields, others in the same region, same seeds, same treatment will fail terribly. We’re going to hear during harvest issues such as, “This season didn’t favor me. The rains were disappointing. Farming is becoming an issue and no longer profitable. “Nimechomeka”, “Nimerogwa”, I blame the fertilizer companies, they have interfered with the quality of their products.” Etc.
I know this excuses are familiar to a-lot of you who are farming. We have a different outlook. What if your soil is the problem? What if you soil lacks the capacity to ensure good production? What if the problem is that you’re not taking proper care of your soil?
In this episode, we bring on a crop nutritionist from Crop Nut to discuss matters of soil health. He describes farming as transfer of nutrients from the soil to your produce and if the soil lacks the necessary nutrients there is nothing to be transferred.
Interesting conversation that will go for a few weeks so please keep it Dairy Networks every Friday and listen to the wisdom from our experts so we can ensure we see bumper harvests and not cries and complain when the time comes.
