I saw night of the Hunter a couple of years ago. It really scared me! Definitely an underrated movie!

She was a STUNNINGLY GORGEOUS WOMAN with AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL EYES

I don't think Lillian Gish and Mary Pickford suffered in the age of talkies because of their acting; I think the fact that both were in their mid thirties by then probably had more to do with it. In fact, Lillian Gish was still making movies right into her 90s, which showed that she could act in talkies, albeit it in supporting roles rather than in the leading lady roles she had in the silent era.

She was in a number of TV shows as well, including an episode of The Love Boat in the early 80s.

Even when she aged she still had that young look in her ,she was a beautiful actress of her time and so was Mary pick Ford who got her known,Rest in peace Lillian rest in peace,GOD bless you amen,✌👍🌸🌻🌈🌹😘👏💑

Lillian and Dorothy Gish are my cousins! ❤ My mom recently verified the connection in her ancestry research and now I’m obsessed with them! I wonder if she had Reynauds syndrome, too? My mom and I both do and it makes cold temperatures really painful.

Lillian was related to my grandfather. Great lady!

She is one of my favorite actresses. The silent movies were special, and that the story was told through Lillian's eyes rather than words, and also by the beautiful shadowing effects that those films were able to achieve except the tone and mood for the story.

I thought Gish grew up in Springfield and Massilion Ohio? St, Loius,? Lilian Gish was name of Smashing Pumpkins debut album. Was going to share this video on facebook until facts don't match with my research.

"Why Everything You Know About Lillian Gish Is A Lie" *99% of people:* Umm... who? Me: Ooohhh!! I know who that is!! She was in Birth of a Nation and The Night of the Hunter! That second one is one of my absolute favorite movies. That first one is... horrifying, but historically significant.

The Birth of a Nation's sole issue is the plot, it still is a great film when you look past the racism (nobody needs to, just speaking theoretically). also Broken Blossoms is by the same director and it may be my current favorite silent film
