Hey Bill, you hit it spot on. I'm brand new to trials and I got the bike for many of the reasons you stated. I'm building a back yard course for some easier practice before I get hurt on the more difficult natural stuff.

Recently picked up a used trials bike as well. Been riding dirt for 40yrs and the amount you can learn with one of these even in just a few months is quite surprising.

I totally agree with trials riding helping you become a better more skillful rider in all other forms of motorcycling. The one caveat I have is that when you first begin your trials journey you need to go to some schools. There is a tremendous amount of technique involved in trials riding and you will NEVER learn these simple techniques by yourself. The schools will be an eye opener and your progression will be amazing just because you get to see more experienced riders demonstrate these easy to master skills. If you try to go it alone you will be teaching yourself a lot of bad habits as is this guy in the video.

Inch perfect is brilliant. Me and my mate went from Scotland with our bikes. Great time

Yer head a lot of good things about that place would love to try the electric trials bike to see what there like 🤔😀

New rider here and having a blast, I can attest to the ride anywhere asepct, there is a dried out little forest beside my condo, I putter around there for a good hour at a time just practicing balance and doing figure 8s between trees before going through some little trails around the area. It's great fun and a lot more physical then it may seem.

Great video Bill, I've just started Trials myself. I have 30 years riding experience both on and off road and hitting trials for the first time I was like bamby on ice. Great video! I've been riding dirt bikes off and on since 1973. I'm 59 now and just bought a trials bike. I just survived throat cancer and I'm still recovering from the surgery. I lost my voice box but I'm not going to die of cancer so that's okay. My question is will this Gas Gas TXT 300 help me transition into road riding? I'm thinking about buying a Harley Davidson street Bob for next summer mainly to save gas money but also to enjoy riding. I don't plan to ride interstate highways just back roads to where I want to go. Thanks for any advice

hi pal sorry late reply sorry to hear about the cancer but glad your still hear fighting. a lot of people do say it helps a lot with your road riding as well due to being able to make quicker decisions whitch can only be a good thing in my eyes right.

£60 for the year is an absolute bargain! Good effort 🤟

Mototrials definately should be helpful in lot of different styles of riding. I’ve ridden more than 15 years biketrials and it definable helps even with my current 240kg adventure bike when i take it offroad. Next addition to the rides should be trials motorcycle for me for sure

I really want a trials motorcycle. But for just £150 I bought a second hand 20" trials competition bicycle. It will be my first steps into trials, and it fits in the backseat of my car.
