Why Everyone Loves Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3

Ойындар

#dragonballsuper #dragonballz #ps2
Join us as we take a deep dive into Dragon Ball Z's Past, with a review of the most highly praised game in the Budokai Series, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3. While some may love, feel neutral, or (for reasons i would never understand) dislike Budokai 3, it is hard to argue that the name doesn't hold weight to this day - even among titans like Kakarot and Budokai Tenkaichi 3. In this video we discuss why in retrospect, it's great, and perhaps even better than you think. Also touching on topics like, how well it holds up to modern day standards, if it truly is top 5 dragon ball z games of all time, and tons of other interesting tid-bits. Trust me, you don't want to miss it!

great video but you didn't talk about cancel in this game. The more fun and the core of the true B3 gameplay. Also we have some other subitilities like counter teleportations with hits instead of teleporting ourself. Except that, very great game. (Cancel is when you charge a hit, the press the guard, you will cancel the hit and you can link to another string to do a true combo).

First of all, you earned a new sub. Wow, so many good memories of this game, like many i grew up with DB and DBZ, i remember back in 2004 when it came out my late father(R.I.P) went out of his way to get me an original copy on christmas and i spent the entire summer break playing through the story mode, It blew my mind(and a controller) when i unlocked Broly and Omega Shenron. Later on with everything unlocked i would gather a few friends after school and host tournaments or just mess around and create what if scenarios on the Versus Mode, it was a blast. I still got the copy around and occasionally i boot up just to remember the good old days. Hard to believe this was 20 years ago... On my personal opinion, even with all it's flaws Budokai 3 will aways be the best Dragon Ball Z game of all time. The amount of detail and attention it's just perfect, might be my nostalgia talking, but i don't care.

Just replayed 1 in Japanese first time. Going through 2 again also in Japanese and I can definitely say I see why I enjoyed 1 when it came out but the jump in how much fun I've had with the game from 1 to 2 is pretty insane. I actually like the board game style story mode and having access to characters/moves that shouldn't even be there its definitely more fresh than the non-stop replay of the story as is. Once I'm done with 2 I'll jump into 3 and see how much I like it in comparison. The end of story mode in 2 and seeing that goofy ass fusion of Yamcha and Tien was pretty funny and something I completely forgot about. Lol...

Budokai 3 was easily the best DB game when it was first released. B1 and B2 were fun but weren't technically "good" games, and most pre-Budokai games straight up suck. B3 was the first game that a large portion of non-DB fans were digging. It was common for critics to say "You don't have to be a fan to enjoy Budokai 3". It was also arguably the closest a DB game came to a legitimate fighter before FighterZ. There is a lot of depth and complexity to its mechanics that largely went undiscovered during its heyday due to the game never giving players a true incentive to get better (the in-game tutorial doesn't teach you how to play that well and the AI even at higher difficulties falls for cheese tactics to some level).
