Except the Sagan isn't actually that popular and also has little to do with Wolf 359. Wouldn't have hurt if they had simply added a completely new and exclusive to this bundle ship. Like a new Legendary Sovereign that's better than the one from the 10th anniversary bundle.

Adding the Parliament to Wolf 359 was inspired by the fan book We Have Engaged The Borg by the Wolf 359 Project. While the Parliament was first introduced in Lower Decks, that doesn't mean the ship is brand new for the shows time period. In fact, if you look at the registry numbers for Parliament class ship seen in Lower Decks, their registry numbers line up with ships that would be active around the time of Wolf 359. There's no existing canon that discounts the possibility of the Parliament being active that early. Same with the Akira class.

@@novastarmew It works because they are looking at bundle purchasers overlapping with mudd's purchasers and the premium ship is supposed to be the big kicker. putting in the borg juggernaut basicaly makes anyone who bought the mud walk away. new orleans and constellation are just minor fluff by comparison.

It's a small change but if they made that Tal Shiar console universal and able to be used on other ships, that's pretty much the main thing I've wanted from it since it came out.

The "premium" ship being a 7 yr old ship with a locked to ship console & warp core is disappointing. If/when Cryptic decided to go this route I think Cryptic should've included both TS Adapted ships with unlocked items. Besides that, I think earlier today/night Cryptic deciding not to even give notice of cancelling &/or rescheduling the 10 Forward livestream exposes exactly how Cryptic thinks & respects the STO player base. I think the sentiment is more disappointed than mad. I'll raise my pitchfork by not using my wallet.

well now they need to add in a Holo Empress Sela and Hakeev ... and their Tal Shiar costume pieces ... might as well make it a tal shiar bundle now lol

I appreciate the point you're making and I get your perspective, but there are some things you should keep in mind? 1) Not all players, even serious players, are concerned with the DPS meta. you can make pretty much any ship *viable* for PVE content even if it isn't optimal, so a lot of people, myself included, just want cool ships that look cool. DPS chasers are probably a very small fraction of the overall playerbase. New players can't do it yet, casual players may have reconciled themselves with never being competitive, and a lot of others just...don't give a shit? You're plugged into the DPS build community, so you're surrounded by people who are focused on that aspect of the game, but Cryptic has to consider what's going to sell to more general audiences. Which leads to 2) What is good for the DPS community *may not actually sell as well* as a bundle targeted at a broader market. Sure, the DPS chasers have some pull in the community and help shape perception of certain ships, but a lot of people might just think the spiny swoopy destroyer thing is cool looking? And if there's enough people like that to offset the people who are upset at the lack of useful meta build options, then it makes more sense for them to go that route. Short version: Cryptic's marketing may just literally not be aimed at you.

0:03 we have? I tend to try avoiding contact with real people where I can help it 😅so this video is my first hint that there was anything for people to be mad about (although let’s be honest there’s always something for people to be mad about and if there isn’t they will find something).

I also think that the Adapted Battlecruiser is faulty in design by having a warp core as opposed to a singularity. The loss of things like plasma shockwave, singularity overcharge, singularity jump and quantum absorption (I don't care about warp shadows) is a big loss for the Tal Shiar ship. I feel like we get hosed by it having a warp core, particularly one that doesn't offer any extra features. It's part of a ship set, but we can't even get the Enhanced Shrapnel Torpedo Launcher anymore.

Some great points here. with four ships in a bundle you would think they could mix and match or maybe have a poll for one of them? That the theme element of it limits the attractiveness.

I saw the Romy ship and went WTF, but then looking at the image there is a definite void to the right... perhaps they're going to do a Styx & add another ship.

I was really excited for this and had even talked myself into the parliment after it was the rumored promo (looks cool, and it can be made to work in the isomag era) but no freedom, swap to the only promo ship with worse stats than the parliment, I already have new orleans and constellation, and they are afraid to release stats.....Only must have thing for me right now is the Cheyene, and I have coupons...

If they're going to add one more thing (beyond the usual kibble) my wish list is as follows:Sagan comes first as it fits the borg theme to a degree. Second comes another 359 ship or an assimilated varient(s) thereof. Finally, there's me reaching, and we get a Legendary Atlas prototype dreadnaught...i know huffing copium here 😅

Given the team's cooperation with project wolf 359's story, the tal Shiar ship fits for ships that tailed the borg and was lost. So it fits the theme but the ship is not desirable for the reasons stated. I'd like the mirror warship since a connie is burning in 359 but that ship can't even use the refit skin so we might get the parliament or the Talshiar Battlecruiser at best. They could always hope that the nonship exclusives that will be added will push people towards the bundle instead of adding another premium ship which imo would be a mistake

the Legendary and Mudd bundles are like buying crypto with 0 return. The last one I fell for was the Jemhadar bundle and I'm sorry I bought it, but the Dominion operative event was going on so it fit the theme I guess...

They should have put the Excelsior II intel heavy cruiser in the bundle instead of the adapted romulan ship, at least a ship of that class was actually at 359.

Could add the Sagan or maybe Excelsior II since they were made with borg tech.....

Seeing an uproar about the Freedom Class (TNG). If your going to demand that ship we may as well also include the Hermes Class (TOS) Both single warp Nacelled ships. Or they could put together another bundle featuring Single Nacelled ships.

How to fix bundle: give players a special 14th anniversary account-wide infinity lockbox T6 ship, can only be used once per account. Players select the ship once. Anniversary bundle is now best anniversary bundle. Ship prices on exchange drop like a piano from a crane. Players are now happy. I accept royalties for idea in master keys. 😂

The last ship should have been the borg assimilator, it's basically replacing cubes in most PvEs anyway so why not let it stand in for the cube in a wolf 359 bundle

At this point they probably should go back to the Mega Bundles or just do the 4 Starship Bundles (Fed/KDF/Rom/Dom). Cryptic really put themselves into a negative loop with the anniversary bundles.

The problem is that the value of the bundle is set on the Destroyer. All the other ships can be purchased individually, so the only reason to get the bundle is to get an account unlocked Destroyer.

Change the Tal Shiar Destroyer for the Texas, that would calm the backlash. After all the Texas is just an evolution of the Defiant. A small attack ship capable of taking out threats without exposing crew, perfect for taking on the Borg.

I don't know, the Texas wasn't exactly well received either. It's looked down upon because of its 4/3 weapons layout. Plus, many were hoping it would end being being a Frigate hangar pet because of the fact that it's an automated ship.

I love destroyers, so I was actually fairly happy getting the destroyer version.

If they wanted to add a Borg related ship, should've tossed the Sagan class in.

Not that Im getting the bundle anyway. An option would be the T4 Kobayashi Maru. Whilst the exchange aboard is not a valuable as it once was. Its still a useful and fun little ship to have. As it not been given out since the one event. Its something to add or replace something from the bundle. Stats and model exist as a playable ship already. I do not believe it has ever appeared in Mudds.

Well, problem is in that fact - premium ships in bundles are themed or QoL improvements. Or, in ideal case - both. Now we had that "adapted". Its not themed to Wolf 359 at all. Yes, I can see its connection like "wolf359>borg>adapted", but its quite loose. And as for now - that ship isn't QoL, and isn't themed, so skip it. Maybe extra floof will make it more appealing, but...need to look on other ships there.

I'd still love to see the 23rd Century Dreadnaughts added to a bundle. Like the Atlas, Thrai and D9. That'd be a big quality improvement.

i'd already had the adapted destroyer on the one character i was wanting it on.. have both t6 adapted ships on them since before the first true borg ship was released.. was my original borg character. and even then, i never used the ship.. just the console for the other adapted ship. though... i did buy the 14th anniversary.. >.> i wanted the hanger pets and space/ground traits.. will use the ships im sure, but yeaaahhhh.... not happy how expensive it was for what was in it.

For us? yes. For Cryptic, absolutely not.

If they bothered to adjust the stats of the adapted destroyer to modern standards and threw in the battlecruiser to offset the age of the model it could’ve worked.

So that means Cryptic is like the cable company from South Park now.

if they really want to make more money they should make it so you can either buy them sepritly for $35 OR make it so the bundle is discounted do to what ships that are in it that you already own...

Well the stats are out on the ships just waiting for all of ya to make your vids on them boot it up from steam has the link looking at them now and all the goodies not to bad especially the BOFF seating might make a lot of vets like you stu and SAB and others like the bundle the consoles look good as do the traits in my opinion. There is one thing I see with all these traits and consoles it seems to favor energy builds more than anything else so just keep that in mind.

I can testify to the Styx. That thing is powerful.

I see it as Cryptic helping me to save money.

I agree completely, I'm annoyed because I wanted to buy the bundle and I wanted a good solid ship on account unlock. character specific ship unlocks from t6 given how expensive they are to get just SUCKS and makes no sense. I will never open a promo pack on an alt, that's just crazy so why not let them use the ships my main has pulled. One word, greed. STO has the worst gambling/greed system in the industry that I'm aware of, they don't even have a decent pity system like genshin, hell its even worse than raid shadow legends.

Give us the destroyer, and the battle cruiser, give the destroyer a epertimental weap slot, and unlock the consoles/warp core. Do that and I buy, anything less (i could go for better this is minimum) and I hold out for the 10th ani bundle (almost there, at 17.5K) but they're not interested in my opinion, I get my zen from dil exchange. they wanna please the cash holders

Personally, I don’t care about the premium ship, my big problem is the actual main content of the bundle. Yes we’re getting a bunch of new ships, but they’re the ones that are most well known for being the hastily made debris field that didn’t have to much thought out into them. Yes I think the 25th century versions look great (I’ll probably get the challenger), but I feel like they lack the hype behind them that previous anniversary ships had. Hopefully their stats are good, but I wouldn’t want to pay 135 just for starship traits and consoles.

Doubt the ships themselves will bring anything to the table we don't already have. Except the visuals, of course. Especially the 25th century skins are always great. Wanted a proper Constellation/Cheyenne for the longest time. So it's gonna be all about the traits and consoles.

Honestly, it wouldn't make much of a difference to me. Both the trait and console are already rather underwhelming in terms of performance. Being able to use them on different ships really doesn't change that.

I'm not particularly bothered about the inclusion of the Tal Shiar Destroyer, even though it doesn't make much sense. What really annoys me is that not all the Wolf 359 ships are included in the pack. If they were, I would've considered buying the pack, but now I'll just pick up a couple of the ships individually. These packs are way too expensive, and I'm not going to waste my money on them.

I don't know if I am the only one but none of this ships do anything for me visually. So I am a hard no. I already have more consoles than can equip and a tough time deciding what traits to not use. So i am out on this one. If they had put in the mirror warship I would have paid for that account wide. I already have it on 4 or five of my character's but it is my favorite ship to fly.

lock boxed and still wouldn't fit W359, however an alternative would be an (as much as i hate the miranda class and with pure open hostility to that oversized shuttle) assimilated miranda, defiant or galaxy class

Meanwhile I'm ignoring the bundle as ALL the Wolf 359 ships look like crap to me, and I'd rather buy ships I want to fly(I did break the trend and use my coupon on the Gargarin. Had everything else I want to fly after my first year-long campaign.) Although way back when t6 ships were locked at 50+, I did enjoy flying the Heavy Cruiser with the Stargazer skin with it's sleek swept FOUR nacelles...but now I have the Sagitaurus for that aesthetic. Nah, instead I'm trying to figure out what I want to do for the KDF recruit event. Since coming back last year, I only did the TOS recruit, and while some might enjoy creating tons of characters, I already have an KDF alien turned Orion Science Carrier pilot, an Orion pirate Tac, and a Klingon Engineer flying a T6 Mogh. I now have the LTS, so I could do a Talaxian, but the problem is still, what career and ship? Maybe the Destroyer and lean in on the LTS, but then, do I REALLY want to make ANOTHER engineer? I have one per faction PLUS my only JH and TOS alts are engis...but being able to be tanky in any ship is super nice and who can say no to turrets and drones? For the Loyalty trait, does the 'Incoming healing increased by 5%' work on summons and BOFFs, or just player teamates?

I already own the Battlecruiser & the Destroyer so I most probably won’t be getting the 14th Anniversary

Look, I understand the complaints, but I personally wouldn't mind the Parliament. So what if it only has a Lt Tactical Seat? Use Vincent Kish if you want higher level firing modes. That being said, Reddit is a minefield, so I'd avoid it for the time being.

Borg ships dont really work that well in my opinion see the assimilator, I think why some are not happy with that romulan ship is becasue its a 2013 lockbox ship that finally is account unlock its dated unless they updated it to better its too dated for end of game stuff, can be good for a newcomer but plenty of better ships. Borg ships dont work for players becasue its all corridors a borg cube or sphere has no bridge. I think people would want that romulan ship more if it wasnt too old and its updated with how STO is now its different than when it came out as a lockbox ship.

Coming from someone who dosen't care about starship stats at all, I have several toons that are still flying around in T5U ships, I think it's even worse. I bought the 12th anniversery bundle basically for those stupid Terran Empire/Inquisitor uniforms (whose real world value is probably around $10). It was objectively a waste of money, but I really, really wanted to make a Terran Empire Ferasan. This bundle has nothing from a fluff prospective. You get a phaser rifle. Who cares!

I know it's a Wolf 259 themed bundle, but with the Guardian having a TNG era skin and it being the first T6 ship it would have been a perfect opportunity to give it a much needed update, skin remaster and possibly even a legendary version. I feel like it would have made a better addition to the bundle than the Adapted Tal Shiar ship. They already proved that not every ship in the bundle needs to be with the full theme of the rest with the Tal Shiar ship which, yes, is a "borg-adjacent" theme but then the Guardian is a TNG-adjacent theme with it's TNG skin. I mean yeah it would have been technically a 5th "new" ship, but it would really just have been a skin revamp and a stat update (maybe a new console to go with it as well), and sure a new trait but that's about it, hardly a ground up design. You are correct, that stuff doesn't happen over night... but it's not as if they don't plan for this type of thing in advance... at least I hope they do. Technically they have an entire year to work on these things. Now a last minute change is just that, but I do think they could have picked a better ship... literally _almost_ any ship would have been better than the Tal Shiar Adapted Destroyer... key word there " _almost_ "

I hate their marketing system. For example, it is quite difficult to get a uniform from a bundle that costs 150 Euros in a country where people normally earn 1000 Euros a month. Edit: I may have exaggerated that. In fact, it is rather less.

Don't get mad get even. With 6 T6 coupons I am ok not giving Cryptic my money. I'm ok with passing on the Parliament too if they throw that in.

Got to play for 6 minutes this morning before being kicked for 'Server not Responding' bug. Again. At least twice every hour. Whether I log in through Steam or Arc. THEN KICKED OUT OF THE ANNIVRSARY MATCH 90% of the way through with another 'SERVER NOT RESPONDING' error. Finally allowed to log back in, but now back at Spacedock, NO PROGRESS REWARDS, have to play the DAMNED STUPID Event A G A I N! No other problems with ANY other mmo or MP title. Just STO. Always just STO. Half ASSED STO can suck it. So very not spending $$$ on STO. Going to use up my coupons and wean off or quit cold turkey.

I can understand why you'd be upset at this but FOR ME I just don't get it. I don't chase the meta. "Oh look at me! I can melt the biggest toughest enemy in the game in 0.68 seconds!" I find that completely boring, honestly. With me personally, if I can do something and it's a little challenging to survive and win then I'm satisfied. Most of my characters use theme builds. for example my main Romulan character is in a Laeosa using mostly Romulan Plasma weapons and the Romulan space set from the Reputation in a DEWSCI ish build. Is it meta, probably not and I just don't care. (Just letting you know I don't go for Elite TFOs or for PvP. I know my limits and I never liked PvP in any game. I honestly have too few hours in the day to put the effort required to survive in those.) Me personally I'm only mildly disappointed with this bundle as announced mostly because of the lack of the Parliament due to me not having that ship and wanting it for a theme build and not really having the excess cash to just throw at the CHANCE of getting in a lockbox, but that is just my opinion

I think people are being very, very, very over reactionary about this. Gotta remember, the vast majority of STO players are NOT min-maxers, they are not people with 20 ships, max rolled equipment, and looking to push a little more DPS out of their ships. The vast majority are "this ship looks cool, im going to blast." And those people can find value out of bundles like this.

No. You know why I know? Cause I’m one of those people. My main runs on a Protostar purely because it’s cool. This promo ship is garbage. It’s not only terrible for min-maxing, it’s terrible in general. Even in terms of liking its niche theme the battlecruiser is superior to it! People reference the meta of the Engels and Styx because they sold bundles whether you like it or not. Yes, they could add a ship to this bundle which is just cool. That’s fine too. But the adapted derpstroyer ain’t it.

If Cryptic was smart, they would have added a new legendary Sovereign, maybe a temporal battlecruiser one. Something special and surprising. They could have added the Tal Shiar ship as a bonus gimmick.

What I want are WOLF 359 SHIPS. Not Romulan ones. And having 2 ships of the same...type?! Constellation AND Cheyenne? No...Make 1 a skin the other a new ship. And No Freedom? THAT is what pisses me off not some mmo ship build crap. I have to rely on stuff like Bridge Commander to fly that ship.
