Same. I was looking for pine green Jordan 1s in the Chicago color blocking but there aren't, they have them only in mids so I'm gonna cop em. So yeah it is the color, and not the cut. Jordan 1s are jordan 1s at the end of the day.

This helped so much. I just purchased my first Jordans which are mids and I did research and lots of people didn’t like the mids so I thought they were going to look weird, but they ended up being so dope!!

Also the argument of the price on the Highs and mids, doesn’t make sense nowadays, because colourways like Smoke Grey or Chicago are for 250 and 300 up. For this, buy some High Worn ore another colour way cheaper like Tokio or Smoke Grey

Great discussion! I totally agree. All the power to you if you want to rock the Mids instead of the highs. You can buy 2-3 pairs of Mids for the price of the highs typically. My brother-in-law wears lots of Mids, he gets compliments on them, and it allows his budget to stretch further on more pairs of shoes, and still captures the same vibe as the highs. However, I think if you want a sneakerhead to stop and talk to you about your shoes, highs are more likely to be a conversation piece. The lows look great to. The AJ lows, AF1 lows, and dunk lows, are very similar in shape, so I can see how it is easy for people to stay away from the AJ1 lows. I do love the Travis Scott AJ1’s and like you said all it would take is him to rep the Mids for the Mids to go nuts. Thanks for the great content!

Mids will definitely get your money to last longer especially compared to highs. even though Mids are going for resell prices now too. but i generally think that Highs have more conversation power because there are a lot more Highs that have a better story behind the colour way compared to Mids or lows. i think its always up to you in the end on how you spend your money and how you'd like to look though.

I own multiple of all 3 tiers. And honestly I wear lows daily because they are easy to wear and slip on easy. Highs are mainly when I go out to non work related things, and my mids are my beaters cuz I can always get another pair for below retail.

you're very welcome. a lot of the people that dont like lows or mids are just really big fans of the highs i guess that they cant really accept anything alternative. but they're a legit nike shoe that looks great. its hard to see the problem with wearing them :)

Thanks for the video! Keep doing you! I agree that you should wear sneakz that sneak up comfortable for you. I have a triple white mids that suit my own style. Just plain white synth leather that matches my clean dark blue denims gives me a fresh feel with a plain white top just for casual wear. I haven't owned a pair of Jordan highs but for my height, I think the mid suits me just nice. Maybe if you are tall or MJ height then yes, the highs would look better on you from another person's viewing. Wear what's comfortable for you or makes you feel good. I like the Jordan 1s mids because they are comfortable and have the right amount of clunky-ness around the base and ankle and keeps me warm but as for the lows I would probably go another brand or style because there's so many other good options for low cut sneakers. Probably the only other difference between high or mid is if you are planning to resale or set up a display collection (in my opinion). Enjoy the drops!

hmm they look really unique and different. im not sure if resell value will go up but i think i saw them at stadium goods site for around 300+. but imo i think the resell value wont be as high as compared to jordan highs.

i got two pairs of mids, i love em. ill get a pair of highs at some point but at this point in time mids (and lows) are the way to go😂😂 plus im short so mids look better with shorts. i dont care bout materials that much sense 1. its about 60 dollars cheaper, 2. it wont just fall apart while walking, and 3. cuz im not just touching my shoes all day😂😂 people just falling into hype, especially these 14 year olds who spend daddys money. also dont realize mj played in mids himself😉

i totally agree with you that mids or lows look better on me too hehe yeah the differences between the too can be big or small. it just dependso n what you think of it hehe wow i didnt know MJ played in Mids. i'l have to see what that looks like

I personally like the mids not all of them but they do have some dope color ways and there affordable cause I would want highs but there just too expensive and they sell out fast and they resell for so high so quick

very true mids are more accessible more colours and cheaper. where as the his are way more expensive, hard to get sometimes and in less colours

hehe thats right! dont worry about it, as long as you like the MIDs and you can rock them out with a great outfit. thats all that matters i reckon

I like the mid's cause I like to actually wear my shoes and not worry about keeping them clean but id rather wear the highs if im going out somewhere "nice"

HEHE i never worry too much about keeping my pairs cleaned. as long as i dont step in a big dirt pile i'm good hehe But i'm pretty sure you can still wear Mids when going out somewhere "nice" too right? just depends on the outfit 😀

100% facts my first pair of jordan’s were mids and now i got a few mids and only one high🙌🏼

Same. I have shorter legs so highs feel like in wearing 8 eye docs. I prefer mids and lows. I dont feel like the lows look like air force 1s. I think airforce 1s look like people are wearing bricks on their feet. I love air force 2s though. I wish air force 2s were more popular.

I prefer mids and low jordan 1s. I have shorter legs so wearing highs make me feel like I'm wearing combat boots.

Mids typically have better shoe technology as opposed to the highs. I can understand why people would hate the lows.. the Jordan logo on the heel looks way to squished along with everything else doesn’t flow the same at all but yeah mids are the new wave f all the hype Beasts

I might buy a pair of mids. I don't care what is popping. I go in the store and see what sneakers I like, usually nikes.

yeah there is always a group of people that are trying to get into the resell market and the best way they can get in is with the Mids as they aren't that popoular yet but could boom any time soon. lets hope not yet hehe

The aj1 mids sometimes can have a wacky tung so that may be why

yeah that could be true. but also other people might think its the no jumpman on the back, the shorter height. those appeal to some people as well

im trying to get more highs but they are so hard to find in my size- mids also just look better on me because of my height. do you think if i just bought mids it wont be noticeable because of my height?

Hi Mikella, well to me i think real sneaker heads will know a MID from a high from first glance without even checking the height. so dont worry about if it'll be noticable. i think you should just buy the sneakers because you like them not so much if you can get away with them looking like highs. PS. sneakers especially AJ1s look wayyyyy better on girls than they do on guys. so dont worry about it

nice! 4 pairs of mids ey. thats cool. well everyone eventually has a price they want to pay for highs. sometimes you can find bargains out there. try facebook market but be sure its legit!

I consider myself an old head sneakerhead and I don’t mind mids. Even as a seasoned sneakerhead u would have to take a couple looks to figure out whether the silhouette is a high or mid if the tongue tag was covered. The problem is the damn resellers eat up all the highs right away and I for damn sure ain’t paying resell. Mids r cool depending on the colorway. The main thing is just the pleather is gonna be pretty stiff and not as comfy. But then again they can take a damn beating cuz of the material. The “ppl” talkin shit about mids are probably salty resellers anyways

yeah OG sneakerheads usually appreciate sneakers for what they are and not for what they're resell is worth. i like that. its always a nicer feeling when you can decide whether a sneaker is more valuable from everything it is after its resell value

I really like mids, I'm not a hype beast I ONLY spend my money Jordan's I like or any sneaker I like for that matter, I prefer a mid on any sneaker I purchase, they just look better on my feet, I have a few pair of highs but a lot of mids.

I watched this video because I’d like to get a pair of jordans and I have no idea about sneakers, I just find them really beautiful, no other background. So I saw there were mid and high and to me they both look good, so I don’t really mind. When I saw the title of the video I wondered if the mid ones were maybe uncomfortable and that’s why people don’t like them, but after understanding it’s just for fashion/trend, I’m not concerned anymore, I’ll go for the ones that are available! I enjoyed the video a lot, you explain everything very well!

hehe i like your comment! yeah hype can be good and hype can be bad. i mean i like it when other people like my shoes, but when too many people like that one shoe thats when the hype begins. but i always like it when no one else has my shoes and they're limited which means not as much people have them so they're a little bit more valuable (well money wise anways). but yeah lets hope the hypebeasts leave the MIDs alone hehe

I recently just bought myself a pair of air jordan 1 mid se royal and they are great. These are my first air jordans I have ever owned and I love them. Don't worry about anyone else's opinion. Everyone has a different taste. Mids are🔥🔥🔥
