Why Dylan O'Brien Hasn't Been The Same Since Maze Runner

Ойын-сауық

Dylan O’Brien first made a name for himself on the MTV series Teen Wolf, where he played Stiles Stilinski, but he really started breaking out when he was cast in the lead role in The Maze Runner. The film series, based on the young adult novel series of the same name, was following in the footsteps of dystopian teen films like The Hunger Games, and it ended up being quite financially successful. However, an accident on the set of the third film badly hurt the actor. Let’s take a look at why Dylan O’Brien was never the same after The Maze Runner.

gabe_liu he actually was planning to but then the movie chose to wait for him but he still almost blew it off because getting on the plane put him into a panic attack. He instead had his girlfriend and dad on set during American Assassin so he could get through and he said afterwards that he was able to take on the mindset of the American Assassin better than before the accident. He came back because he’s an amazing human being ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I actually know somebody who appeared alongside Dylan and others on American Assassin. He described Dylan as a humble, hardworking and dedicated actor that put a lot of elbow grease into making that film work. In fact, the whole cast lineup (both headliners and supporting) was truly excellent in that film and delivered a solid performance that still looks great after all these years. It would be great to see more of Mitch Rapp as a character on the screen, since he certainly has potential not previously explored by the likes of the 21st century’s JBs - Jack Bauer and Jason Bourne.

His story reminds me a bit of Montgomery Clift’s story. He was a very handsome & good actor who got in a bad car accident while filming a movie with his good friend Elizabeth Taylor. His career can be divided between before his accident & after his accident. He still did Oscar worthy stuff, but the accident intrinsically changed him forever. He used to play broken people, but afterwards, he was a little broken himself, never quite the same. He even had to deal with his face never being quite the same after also. I wish Dylan a happier ending than Montgomery had.

His insurability on film productions was likely also impacted following the accident, which is a key factor for the kind of films he’s likely to be considered for going forward

I have been of him for so long and I appreciate how private he is about his life. I'm just happy to know that he's coming out with films soon. Can't wait!

In Teen Wolf he was just playing himself , goofy hilarious person but after the accident, losing so much of the time , the trauma must’ve hit him hard, you can tell he’s become more serious , he’s an amazing actor 👏 plays any role fabulously

Gosh I never knew that had happened to him. To battle back from such a life changing experience as that says a lot about the person and not just the actor we seen in the maze runner movies. To come that close to ending up a lot worse than even he had imagined and to fight through it. Not only can he move forward with his life, but also he still has his acting career. I like stories like this. Because the way that he overcame adversity is remarkable

Maze Runner & Hunger Games came out within a year of each other, they filled the teen dystopian novel void before others did, but they have different back stories, HG is post-war/famine, MR is post-war/famine and disease.

He's the kind of actor that I love whatever he is in solely because he is in it. He is so talented and I'm glad he's feeling better. Can't wait to see what he has in store

Basically he was seriously injured on the side of that movie the studio trying to cover it and put some sort of unrealistic expectation as to when filming could resume.. I know that's true because the film was never completed very much believe he had some psychological trauma that he's still in process of dealing with
