From someone from NC, born and raised and has had Drake Maye on my radar for a LONGG time now!! I completely agree!!! Drake maye will be a great fit in the NFL, he CAN elavate a team, if my team was in any kind of position to draft him, i DEFF would. But he will be long gone by the time we draft, that being said im pretty sure he will go to one of our rivals, and to whichever team gets him, 👏 you will have your future QB

How do you feel about his wind up in his throwing motion? And his feet get sloppy sometimes, outside of being pressured his mechanics aren’t the smoothest. Other than that I think Drake has the highest ceiling over Caleb because of his size added with the arm talent. Clearly Caleb has the best arm but Maye is the total package imo. If he gets that throwing motion more compact and those feet right man he’s gonna be even more special than he already is

My only concern is his footwork and throwing mechanics. Hes gotta shorten his release a little bit. Its not horrendous but it definitely needs work. If he can fix that along with his footwork he will be a top 5 QB in the league. But one thing I noticed in this video was that he had a shitty team around him and he made big throws in the midst of chaos. Thats a big deal, the bad Quarterbacks dont make the plays when everything around them breaks down but Drake Maye did. This was only his second season starting lol, Jayden Daniels who was drafted before him for instance didnt start looking good until year 5 when he had multiple top 60 picks to throw to and a good oline. If you gave Maye 3 more years in college and an all star supporting cast he would of been an Andrew Luck type of prospect. And that game vs Duke proves that he has the clutch gene and "it" factor. Maby he will be the Quarterback that can rival Mahomes in a couple of years? Like I said he has that clutch gene, Allen and Herbert are as talented or more talented than Mahomes but they seem to lack that clutch gene.

You are a horrible football evaluator. I watched four games and there were at least 6 plays in each where his footwork moved him into pressure. It is also one of the reasons his throws are so erratic. He throws with pin point accuracy one play and then skips a throw or lets it sail way over the head of his receiver. That is partly because he does not set his feet right, and partly because he sucks as a QB. @@TheBottomLineView

Terrible evaluation you used what is called a straw man argument. No one is saying he isn't athletic. The problem is he does not know how to play QB. What is there not to like? the fact that all he has is traits. He sucks at playing football. Do not watch his highlights, watch a full game. Any game you watch you will see 8 or 9 passes that bounce off the turf 5 yards in front of an open receiver or sails over the head of the receiver. His footwork is crap. His throwing motion is too slow. But his biggest fault is that he does not have a NFL QB smarts. He does not get through his reads fast enough. He was dead last amongst all division 1 QBs in getting rid of the ball. He does not see his receivers coming open unless they are his direct target. If the mental stuff was his only problem it would be enough to make him a third day prospect. Taken together this guy is a terrible pick especially in the first.

If the Patriots draft this clown while riding a unicorn and mugging a leprecon he could be Justin Herbert instead of Marcus Mariota or the dozens of other QBs who failed because they had a great body and few QB skills. How has drafting Herbert worked out for the chargers? They suck as bad as we do, and because they grabbed their QB before getting their team in shape they have wasted his cheap rookie contract and are in the midst of blowing their team up. I could make a strong case that they are further from winning a Super Bowl then they were before they drafted him. That is our best case scenario if we go Drake may with pick #3. Family of athletes. Like gronk. Brady. Even though it was Brady’s sisters the athlete but drake is a gronk like kid but when it comes to football it’s all business. He’s been battle tested his whole life. 6”4 & he’s the short brother. Plus like Brady. Mahomes. Elway. Russell Wilson. All the greats played baseball. If you can throw a baseball & play fluidly every thing else is easy. Pats fans don’t know how lucky they are. To have a team take a 24 yr old who had 1 good yr & weighs 180 over Drake maye is crazy. He’ll be better than Caleb to. The pats waited 4-5 yrs. Some teams take 10-15 yrs to find that next 1. He’s the 1. It’s a guarantee. I see better than Josh Allen & Herbert.
