    I don’t care about beard if it looks bad. Because Prophet Muhammad ﷺ ordered and advised us to keep beard long and forbade us to to cut off. So, we keep beard as a ummat e Muhammad ﷺ, as a Muslim. The sunnah of prophet Muhammad ﷺ can not be ignored, can not be bad looking. Assalamu Alaikum.

    I have a difficulties keeping a mighty beard as well. Mixed heritage, Asian and African American (of Moroccan lineage), my beard grows in patches. It has improved since I’m now middle-aged and I’m trying to let the cheek portions grow out to length now. The jawline portion of the beard has random strands that seem to only go where they want to go and not necessarily fall nicely into place. Inshallah I will finally have an acceptable beard this Ramadan.

    i'm trying to grow my beard my father and brothers started growing facial hair in the 20s and it took until late 20s to 30s for it to mature. right now i'm 24 years old, 2-3 years ago i just started to grow the littlest of facial hair lol now i'm able to grow it out to maybe 1-2 cm in maybe a whole month and yet i started getting the "you should shave it, it doesn't look good"as it's patchy and very light. i do shave but i only shave because after a certain length the skin starts to hurt and i get ingrown hairs or something, thankfully after i shave and grow it out again, my hair is able to grow longer each time than the last before what i said above starts happening again and i only shave when it happens, other than that i trim my mustache which ironically filled it pretty fact and it's getting on the thicker side lol.

    Allah gave the beard to men as an adornment and the most beautiful beards are the ones who do not get trimmed. Some people have large and dense ones and some have patchy ones but someone who knows that Allah is pleased with all shapes and sizes when not trimmed, then this person sees the beauty in all of them and in shaa Allah you get rewarded for not touching it. We trim our moustache though coz there is hadith for that.

    I don't know if trim the moustache and leave the beard means, get rid of the excess moustache and do the opposite to the beard as in keep it. Or if leave the beard means leave it completely natural without any hedging or maintenance. It also seems like before this command form our beloved prophet S.A.W people had longer moustaches? and once the Persians came upon seeing them he S.A.W made the command. I'm not sure anyways...

    Avoid Omar Hisham Al Arabi, he is not only reciting the Qur'an like a song, but he also deliberately compensates on the makhrij, for example he would often pronounce Arabic ر as English R. My favorite reciters are Islam Sobhi ( اسلام سبحي ) and Qari Muhammad Siddiq Al Minshawi.

    Look at those comments on the video!! Are they all Muslims?! What is their problem what your beard looks like, looks and materialism will not take us to Jannah. Talking like that to someone who is doing so much good, I'm utterly shocked. What problem in their lives are they projecting onto you!! Perhaps we need someone to teach us proper akhlaq as well, as Brother Wissam is teaching us reading and reciting Arabic...

An effort with Tawakkal to Allah SWT.. There is a dispute among the scholars about Compulsory or Not to keep beard..?

    The most despicable thing to me is when (laymen) Muslims tell other Muslims what to do, especially on fiqh issues. Respect people's ibadah like you want people to respect yours. Ustadh Wisam may counter that you are a sinner for not growing a beard and succefully provide daleels, but he didn't because he knows that scholars have different opinions on understandings of the Shari'ah texts. So brothers and sisters, do not give your opinion on any matter related to fiqh, leave it to the scholars and do not say something you have no knowledge about the deen because: Allah says (what means): {O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful.} [Quran 49:6] Abu Hurayrah (RA) related that the Prophet (SAW) said: “Suffice it as a lie that one speaks about everything one hears.” [Muslim] Shaykh Al-Uthaymeen (RAH) said in his commentary on this Hadeeth: “It means that if a person speaks about everything he hears without verifying it, then he is likely to lie, and this is the reality. Some people come to you and say, such a thing has happened, and if you investigate the matter, you find that it did not happen. Or, a person comes to you and says, so and so said such and such, and if you investigate the matter, you find that he did not say it.” Allah says (what means): {And follow not (O man i.e., say not, or do not or witness not, etc.) that of which you have no knowledge} [Quran 17:36]. Ibn Katheer (RAH) said: Qataadah said: {Do not say, “I saw” when you did not see, or say “I heard” when you did not hear, or “I know” when you do not know, for verily Allah will question you about all of that. What we may conclude from their comments is that Allah, may He be exalted, forbids speaking without knowledge; in fact He forbids speculation or suspicion, which is based on imagination.}
