Nice explanation ... That's right interpretation..rasulullah(sa) did not meant the way some people wrongly interpret.... Allah likes his servants beautifying. Nothing wrong in having nice haircuts that looks decent and beautiful. We dont need to see these in classicals coz this is not pertains to halal haram matter. This is something a matter of adab. Thats it. Cultures have civilized dress code and it changes over time and time.whatever fits decent and beautiful is acceptable in islam.

In Al Qaza, as far as I remember Sheikh Assim Al Hakeem speaking on it, you *shave* one part of the hair and let the other grow. That's what is not permissible. Shaving off one part completely while letting the other grow. That's why even shaving the moustache completely also qualifies as Al qaza.

honestly what Nouman is saying here logically follows but like where do we draw the line If we contextualize everything we could say that the punishment of apostasy was primarily used against dangerous political opponents so there is no point in applying the punishment in governments today. My reasoning for not viewing haircuts like fades to be haram at first was the Hadith of grafting trees where prophet Muhammad (saw) tells the people of Medina that he doesn’t think that grafting trees will help in the growth of trees. He ends up making an error as their trees actually grew slower and the prophet (saw) says “I am a human being, so when I command you about a thing pertaining to religion, do accept it, and when I command you about a thing out of my personal opinion, keep it in mind that I am a human being” Of course though I am not a mujtahid and I am trying to be careful so as to not go near kufr, but it seems like hair doesn’t have much to do with religion so we could classify this as the prophets “personal opinion” even disregarding the context that Nouman gave (not sure where a source is on it though). If someone wants to say that this doesn’t necessarily mean haircuts like fades that fit into the qaza category are allowed because it was his personal opinion, then can you bring me a single one of the prophet muhammad’s (saw) opinions which you personally disagree with or find faulty besides the grafting Hadith? Or was the prophet just being humble? Anyways I could be wrong because my line of reasoning could lead you to believe that stuff like silk and gold for men is halal

This is why Muslims are stuck in the medieval ages. We care too much about petty, insignificant issues. We're too busy policing each other on clothing and haircuts. Meanwhile, non-Muslims are out there making the technology we all use daily. Non-Muslims are out there making the film, music, and print media the world consumes daily. Non-Muslims are out there actually shaping the world. Muslims are too busy debating whether certain clothes and haircuts are halal or not while war and rape run rampart in their countries.

Your confusing one or the other. Being proactive in technology and innovation is a problem but it wasn't during the medieval ages when Muslims were at the forefront of medicine, books, mathematics, etc. all while exceling in spirituality.
