Crows legs are not insulators. if crow keeps one leg on another line,it will die. that's why there is big gap between lines so that no organism dies. Sir you could have said if circuit completed current passes. Crow sat on phase wire where the circuit never completed but if its body touched other neutral wire it would have died. Need not be closed circuit. If you touch phase and solid ground, then also current will pass even though there is no closed circuit.

@@venkatm.energy no. That is different without closed circuit no current passes. If you have transmission lines and dont connect any load to it you dont have any electrons. And naturally no shock happens. What you said is leaked electric discharge or ground dissipation current..

That is high unlikely as flash is a beam of light. Which is made up of photon. They do not conduct electricity. As electrons and photons are alpha particles. Simply they are of the same size.
