Why does no one come here in the Philippines is the question we are asking today! Mindanao is a region in the Philippines that does not receive many visitors and so far during our stay we have found the people to be some of the friendliest in the country, the food to be delicious (like the best halo halo we've ever had), and some of the sights in evil a smaller city like Pagadian City, to be pretty fun adventures! We know that Mindanao has struggled with safety issues, but if you travel smart you can have a fantastic time and experience an area of the philippines that few visitors have and that is quite different from other areas of the country! Kinilaw is a pre colonial dish. Antonio Pigafetta wrote about it in 1525 when he was documenting the food they have been introduced to in the islands.
If I’m not mistaken, it was the Filipinos who brought kinilaw (civeche) to Mexico. This was during the Spanish Galleon Trade that made stops in Acapulco from Philippines with Filipino crews. In fact, some Filipinos jump ship and stayed in Mexico. It is also why there is a “tuba” (coconut wine) and some nipa houses in Mexico. There are lots of Filipino-Mexican descendants in Acapulco and other coastal areas in Mexico brought about by the Spanish Galleon Ships.

There are a lot of Tourist attractions in the Philippines that you cannot visit all of them in your lifetime.The tourists are spread out to all those places so some areas have more tourists than the others depending on the nearness of the locations.
My guess is you guys will go to iLigan City next.
