There’s more that the author missed. The Byakugan allows the user to see through genjutsu and also neutralize jutsu. If someone throws a fireball jutsu the Byakugan user can view the chakra points in the fireball and slice it. This was shown in the Itachi light novels. The Byakugan was supposed to be stronger but as the story kept getting written in order to expand Sasuke and Uchiha they kept adding super secret heian era abilities to the Sharigan

The biakugan is objectively an op.jutsu far more than the sharingan. The issue is that the hyuga only use it as a way to punch people's. Imagine if they used bow. They could sniper anyone miles away. You can just win the war before it started

The Sharingan is a "cursed" eye, where pain and trauma unlocks and powers it up. The byakugan is the opposite, passed down through lineage and family.

That's just fake ass shit. See how OP Mangekyou users are compared to other users. To get Mangekyou, you need to lose lived one. And, for EMS, you need to have brother awaken it. Now, with eternal MS, they are basically at very top. They can easily become hokage level. And, some MS are even more OP. Obito's kamui is no doubt op to extreme. It's basically impossible to beat. He said specifically that the byakugan’s analytical ability is greater. They can see thru solid objects, see chakra points which sharingan can’t do. Only sasuke at his best has hit a chakra point on purpose. They can read emotions and analyze differently and in more diverse ways than seeing chakra and motion prediction. A smoke screen won’t bother their vision like it would Uchiha.

I think it depends on the prowess of the user. For example, itachi’s base sharingan slaps genin hinata byakugan. It’s not the eye that determines who’s stronger, it’s who’s using it and their visual prowess and skill with it. Kakashi is an exception because he has an implanted sharingan and it drains chakra 24/7, but imagine if he had a byakugan that could be deactivated and activated at will? He’d have so much more of his chakra but he wouldn’t be the copy ninja anymore, he’d be the “all seeing ninja”

I think its clear that the byakugan is op if used by good users. Its because a byakugan is stronger than a sharingan in its base form. Take into account that 60-80% of hyugas have the byakugan. Now take the next fact that 70-80% of uchiha have 3 tomei sharingan. Now examine that another 3-5% of uchiha have either MS or EMS, and this is the only reason why the end up seeming stronger because they possess things like tsukiomi, tsusanoo, and kamui, amaterasu, ect which make any and all ms+ uchihas kage level threats, even going so far as the stronger members like madara itatchi and obito. The few members of the ms/ems squad can prpbably take on the entirity of the hyuga clan's lineage between just 5-8 uchiha members.

Not 3% anymore at the time of Naruto. The Uchiha clan almost fought themself to extinction because every Uchiha killed his clanmembers to get the Mangekyou. After the Uchiha civil war and the creation of Izanami only 10% of Uchiha got even the normal Sharingan because of the time of Peace under the third Hokage.

Byakugan has three forms. Base Byakugan, The Tenseigan (Which requires you to be an Otsutsuki who takes a Hyuuga's eyes, or in theory the reverse.) and the Jogan which is only possible with eating enough chakra fruits or through special means (Its not been revealed fully yet) Given that the Tenseigan had the power to throw the moon at the earth. Had the ability to create a chakra mode of its own, the ability to fly at will, and could animate a giant golem and control it at will while also fighting. Oh and part of the Chakra mode, gave him several truth-seeking orbs which was only available to the Six Paths Sage. Naruto got a few but he didn't make them and when he lost them they where gone for good. This mode MAKES them. The orbs are all 5 natures so they surpass all Kekkei Genkai and Tota. They turn whatever they hit into dust (like Dust release) and it seems to be if the user wants them too. They can nullify any ninjutsu they touch and are impervious to them. Effectively they just can't negate sage jutsu. The fact the orbs can freely shapeshift into whatever form the user can imagine makes them insanely handy in the fight.

The jogan isn’t an evolution of the byakugan and t a completely different dojutsu . An the tenseigan can only be unlocked by the otsutsuki they have to take the eyes of a pure hyuga then transplant the eyes into themselves. However there is one exception to this being himawari. But it hasn’t been shown yet so yeah

Honestly the byakugan was crazy in part 1. Being able to see everything at once with telescopic vision and with improved general perception is insane as it is. Now add being able to see and interrupt the very flow of the whole power source of the verse is crazy. Add to that the fact that they could, in theory, see the nature of a jutsu before it was even fully formed to respond to it by seeing the chakra as it is being molded, and you have a whole clan of people who you literally just can't get the drop on, EVER.

When Kakashi made that statemen he made a clarification "For sheer insight, the Byakogan is superior."

With good writing byagukan could have been a fundamental rival of the sharingan. Like imagine if the old rivals were the uchihas n hyugas n. Instead of giving the senju the title of massive chakra make Hashirama the one lucky bustard with massive charkra who put an end to the war(as should Naruto in future). In this version tobirama is a hyuga his ability to perceive chakra would be the reason why he was able to be the founder of vast jutsu. Becoming the second hokage would raise the tensions with him n madara (The storyline of madara n hashirama being friends is still the same, tobirama is still a man who takes necessary measures and contingency but also had faith in hashirama n admired his patience with ppl) Due to hashiramas influence tobirama truly wants peace but is forced to fight madara who Is consumed by vengeance. In this version the hyuga possess the susanoo to counter the ability of the Uchihas of manipulating n controlling tailed beasts. In this version byakugan + sharingan = rennegan so instead of the whole hashirama cell plot, the caged bird seal is created with a more superior purpose.

Imagine if might guy had those eyes definitely would’ve been a different ending😂

So you can see an advanced hologram of your opponent, And the byakugan is because you can see the chakra, you can see where the opponent puts all of his energy and you can see the moves

@@westmovie7517 yea I do remember something like that but im pretty sure the byakugan was retcon a little bit because according to urishiki the outsuski byakugan can see the future or sum like that and according to toneri the hyuga have a water downed version in the form of seeing moments before they happen and according to how strong a hyuga is the better the ability so ig that would be hinata but idk

The swastika is a common symbol in Buddhism, Hinduism, and jainism. It was only recently appropriated and perverted by a certain German political party. In Japan it still keeps its original meaning.

No. He wasn't just talking about the basic Sharingan. Kakashisaidthe Byakugan is superior to the Sharingan because it is. The Byakugan is another way of saying "All Seeing White Eye". That means that the Byakugan gives it's user "ALL SEEING ABILITIES". Which is why throughout the whole show they show many different abilities used by all Byakugan users going back from Kaguya and throughout all the way to Boruto. The show has shown abilities of a Byakugan user seeing all the different frequencies of the light spectrum. Such as Infrared, x-ray,... Also microscopic, telescopic, 360°, dimensional, see thoughts and emotions, make people burst from the inside out,... see the future...

what people tend to forget is that the byakugan also gives a certain resistance to genjutsu as it's able to determine if someone is casting or under a genjutsu and potentially able to see through them.

We see this in Neji's fight with Kidomaru both to cut web shots and break out of a full body web. It's also how rotation is used. They just spin while shooting out Chakra from their entire bodies. They can see through most genjutsu as well and through clone jutsu if the user hasn't mastered it and most have not. But once mangekyou came out all that meant nothing

Kakashi was fully grown with a base level sharingan and didn't even have all of its base abilities unlocked. He just needed more time to learn about it, considering the sharingan is really his heritage, so he probably wasn't taught much about it.

True I remember Sasuke saying only a few members of the uchiha unlock the sharingan after seeing Kakashi's. The MS is even rarer then the base sharingan and its abilities are mostly unkown. When he made that statement he was probably talking about the average base sharingan vs the average base Byakugan and even after the show I still think the statement is true if we compare the rennegan to the tensigan which are the peak of each eyes's evolution

Cause kishimoto had his editor convince him into making Sasuke, then kishimoto said Sasuke had to power up along naruto, so by default sharingan had to level up along naruto with sage mode and kyubi control. Basically he wrote the story out as he went along and the byakugan got left behind till the movie or w. E.

Kaguya & Hamuras byakugan are capable of mind control. Unsure if it’s just them or their whole clan

Blocking the Chakra pathway seems to work only with weak ninja. Never seen that technique use against an homage.

Getting a byakugan isn’t that impossible. However the difficult part is knowing which of them a head or branch. Capture a head and you’ll get em but a branch with their cursed mark will seal em eyes for good. You’ll have to know their fam tree or sumn

Only main Huygas are Hanabi, Hinata and Hiashi I guess Himawari aswell. However all of them are quite powerful so you would need have like a bunch of Jonin jump one of them, preferably not Himawari considering shes the strongest

Kakashi said the Byakugan was Superior when it came to VISUAL PROWESS. Which means he was only talking about it in the sense of you can literally SEE better.

It was supposed to be a rock paper scissors situation between the Sharingan, Byakugan and the then rumoured Rinnegan, but that power creep came into the series and the sharingan kept levelling up and then evolving into the rinnegan like a damn pokemon.

There was someone else who stole a byakugan, I forgot his name but in itachi’s light novels, he and shisui fought against a anbu member who had one byakugan and he was not a hyuga. He almost won too but ended up killing himself

It’s mainly due to the huge draw back for most sharingan users. Other than Sasuke and Madara there are no other eternal mangekyou users. That is the only way to be able to use the sharingan without risking blindness and severe pain. They both have evolutions but just compared base byakugan vs sharingan it would be byakugan.

I mean he was right tho. Sasuke had base sharingan and was being messed up by Rock Lee and Naruto. Rock lee always said he couldnt beat Neji.

1: Byakugan seeing through Genjutsu doesn't automatically mean they can immune (or) resist to it. They can just avoid from Genjutsu before it can successfully cast to them. Same for the sensor-type Shinobi. Karin and Tobirama can also see through Genjutsu. But they aren't immune to Genjutsu. So, Byakugan users can still fall into Genjutsu if they get guard off while fighting with an Uchiha with 3-Tomoe sharingan. I mean you can't fight properly(your best) if you are too focusing on Genjutsu. 2: That "Byakugan is superior" statement from Kakashi mainly focus on VISION, X-RAY, RANGE, PRECISION etc. So yeah, Byakugan is superior in those categories. Kakashi never said that Byakugan is straight-up superior than Genjutsu. He only meant for those aspects I mentioned (vision, precision etc). 3: By feat, 3-Tomoe Sharingan >> Byakugan. A SINGLE Strong 3-Tomoe Sharingan can humble Kurama and that Kurama can easily destroy the whole Hyuga Clan. 3-Tomoe Sharingan's precognition is superior than Byakugan. 3-Tomoe Kid Sasuke > KN0 Naruto >= Neji. And enabling to copy any Ninjutsus (outside of Special and Kekkei Genkai ones) without any difficulty is also another ability which decently edge Byakugan.
