Cant really say hes a rapper. Hes kind of in the middle between pop and hip hop like Drake or j cole for example. Thing is that Russ has great songs and anyone can tell he is objectively very talented, but lacks substance and grace in his songs, lyrics, as well as off the air. His songs often sound passionate and you feel like you can relate to them, but in its core its just talking about him "fucking your girl" or "becoming famous despite everyone doubting him".

Dang, hands down. I love russ, not everyone’s perfect but russ builded his fan base and music in scratch. Not everything came as well he expected it to be, persevere at the end is key.

Listen to what he has to say instead of taking snippets of videos to try to direct the narrative to portray him in a negative light. I was hoping for an objective perspective that portrayed both sides of the story, but instead I found yet another person just following the hate trend. Damn.

He's still growing and developing, so yeah he's gonna say some things that tick people off. Especially about the industry and other artists. These people won't give you a crumb to propel you forward and I don't like gate keepers either. Russ is consistent with his energy and creates music people like, when he finally gets the capital to "validate" his attitude, everyone will be looking at him like he's a genius. I think he does believe he's great in his own mind but some people have to say it to believe it even if it's to themselves.

Notice how he’s more interactive with the short girl than the tall girl towards the end of the video (and by interactive I’m mean talkative). It just goes to show how insecure he is about his height which I’m sure is a huge reason why he’s a narcissist. I think he got turned down a lot cuz of his height before he was big and now he’s famous and got money and all those same girls and more now want him and probably hurt his ego and has no self love. I watched an interview where he kept repeating how he doesn’t care and how he’s one of the top most “poppin” rappers. His hands were in his pockets, and his hand only came out to prove a point about himself whenever he would claim how honest and unique and hard working he is. But in between his sentences he would constantly bite his lower lip, fidget his hands in his pockets, and when he would say things like “everybody knows that” and “everyone agrees with me” he would slow blink and look directly down. It’s clear he lacks self confidence and probably never feels good enough despite working extremely hard to seek others approval. I hope he finds that true inner confidence because he is very talented despite his ego

DamnPapi being confident is showing confidence without putting it into words. Going around and trying to better then everyone and knocking other peoples style of music down is not what you do. As a artist at his caliber you are met to look at all music as art and find meaning into to make your songs better and be more apart of the community. Yes he's super cocky which is a huge turn off to his music. I love G-eazy you might listen to his songs a be like he's cocky but he really isn't. Watching all of his interviews and seeing how he truly as a person really makes me appreciate his music more cause he's a such a down to earth dude who is passionate with his work and he doesn't say he's the greatest at all. So yes Russ needs to work on that and be less condescending. Do a better reply aswell man you don't need to be so ready to snap back like that cause it turns into a random fight that is a waste of time.
