I think the helmets are a good idea, if I did commercial rock or pop music I would likely do same because I don't want the fame bug, no privacy and no free time, I want music bug, so people can't see you so are intrigued by music rather than being over intrigued by person/celebrity image, I think it would be cool, you get to be cool and anonymous on stage and mr low profile off stage, good idea

They nearly went bankrupt because they financed "Interstellar 5555" with their own money and hired legendary animation artists Daisuke Nishio and Hirotoshi Rissen. Its not cheap to make an animated movie and it apparently didn't make much money. I think its one of the reasons why they had to slow down releasing albums or why they chose to release human after all.

anthony patterson - When a Music Label gives an advance to record an album, that’s actually a loan. What’s funny also besides paying to record your music and film a music video. The artists don’t even own their Masters. That’s how scums from Music Labels rip out artists. Daft Punk was smart to sign with Virgin records which allowed them to own their masters.

The mau5head started out as this cool thing he could wear and not have to look at the crowd, thus keeping him focused. I’m really not a big fan of a lot of some similar KZread channels (like Middle 8, Rick Beato, etc). This was just so superb that I had to sub. What a great and thorough video! Can’t wait to binge this channel

At 10:59 it looks like a visual tribute to the cover of David Bowie's Heroes.

Funny enough, when Thomas went on tour with DJ Falcon and Cassius in 2002, they played the David Guetta remix of Heroes as part of their set.

They wear helmets to be Mysterious, Intriguing, and timeless. Its pretty clever to outwit all the dumb kids who think you have to be young to be relevant.

I don't listen to this genre of music, but I ABSOLUTELY listen to Daft Punk and love them. Proving how awesome this band is - transcending the confines of the conventions of business, music making, instruments, etc. to make it to the top. Love the 9:09 reference in their origin story (to the Roland 909)... There are a lot of parallels to their aesthetic to Kraftwerk, another band I adore.

I never actually liked a certain band or artist and just cherry picked the music I listen to but I think I really like what daft punk does
