Why do we live so isolated? Q&A - story 25

So its finally time to answer your questions! I had a lot of fun filming this Q&A, but it is messy, so bear with me.
I did my best to answer as many questions as I could, but I unfortunately could not answer all of them. Please know that I am very grateful for them and that I have taken note of them, hopefully they will be answered in a future video.

I saw the opportunity to ask questions; but I ended up having too many, I couldn't figure out how to phrase it the way I wanted to, and I missed the window all together. Hopefully you do another one sometime, this was enjoyable

This was a wonderful Q&A and a beautiful video I really enjoyed hearing the questions and your answers. You are so lucky to have such supportive people in your life as well as creative people. I would’ve guessed your family was creative but never would’ve guessed your mother was a flamenco dancer… that’s so cool! I’m wondering if you have read the book,Braiding Sweetgrass, by Robin Wall Kimmerer. I’m guessing you have but if not I think you’d really enjoy it. Robin is a botanist and a poet so I think you have a lot in common. If possible, listen to the audiobook because her voice is so soothing and beautiful. Thank you!😊❤️

was just about to comment about this, maria's response to the foraging question reminded me of the section on the honorable harvest. i know many people are familiar with this concept but i love how robin wrote it out. here it is, in case you did not get to the whole book "Ask permission of the ones whose lives you seek. Abide by the answer. Never take the first. Never take the last. Harvest in a way that minimizes harm. Take only what you need and leave some for others. Use everything that you take. Take only that which is given to you. Share it, as the Earth has shared with you. Be grateful. Reciprocate the gift. Sustain the ones who sustain you, and the Earth will last forever." - robin wall kimmerer, braiding sweetgrass

It was so nice to hear more about your world. Absolutely fantastic video. I think you could run a very successful small side-project renovating homes for others. You could charge a pretty penny because of your clinical eye for finding beauty everywhere. I hope you find your dream home sooner than you could ever imagine, within your budget, next to the forest and that you can renovate it so the world can get inspiration from it 🥰🙏♥️🏡🌳

beautiful job re loving that cottage. i "renovated" my very old tiny beach cottage ,it was all done by upcycling & diy other than electric & bigger plumbing. i also felt/ feel kind of let down and miss the work, creativity and the process. I enjoy spending tie there - we call it the "Reading Cottage". I also rent it for short stays when we are not there. Am keeping my eye out for another abandoned unloved sea side shack to give my creativity & energy to. Cannot wait to find my next one.

Thank you so much for your calming video. I also like to see your landscape and the good or not so good😑weather. (We will live in north norway in some years. ) For your beautiful Hair: try soap. I only use oecological olive oil soap. With our chalky and hard water I have to take little bit acid water for the last rinse. But with water at our house in norway I don’t have to. I think as time goes by you have to wash less often. Greetings from Germany, Katja Oh wrong place , this is not an answer for this komm, sorry

...we live so isolated because we think too much... we use too much rationality... the Mind is our master... but beware... we have a Heart, that is our true leader... instead of thinking too much, let's try to listen to our Heart... - this was only my opinion☺

This me too i want in the future getting more isolated in a forest cottage house and write as much as i can because recently i am not able to even write a paragraph due to the city noise and my hard work as medical secretary. I am not happy at all i lack a lot of nature living because i was a county girl full with nature escapes. I just couldn't do what i want to do because also my financial issues. I hope that i could save some money in future and move to a country like UK full of nature reserve. I don't know when this exactly be.
