Why Do Some Die Young?

Why do some people die young? Rupert says he doesn't know, but a rational answer wouldn't dispel grief, and relief comes by turning towards anger and grief.

My old practice is: Whenever fear, anxiety, worry etc come knocking on my door, I welcome them into my home and seat them at my dining table, give them all the good food, drinks I have and when they are satiated they just smile at me,thank me and bid their farewell. This practice helps me. I feel lighter, better and it makes me smile.

Rupert Spira is brilliant spiritually and intellectually. And he gives the best of analogies. And he's the most available spiritual teacher ( online webinars and retreats). He is a living example of preach what you practice. He speaks with love and compassion and has no air of superiority. God is so proud of this manifestation!!!

If we ask why something has happened the way it happened, we actually demand that things happen according to our expectations or at least, according to the rules of a game we understand. And if that doesn't happen, we we want to blame somebody or God or life. Life dared to stand up against my agenda or my set of rules! That causes anger. There'll come a time in which we understand that there's nothing that's controlled by our personal agenda or rules. Not even typing these words or listening to this teachings. All that happens is part of a greater whole. There's just what happens and experiencing what happens, including the anger, the grief, the feeling of loss and eventually the letting go. We are all of that

I say to you, nothing happens without the Will of God. This Will, it's claiming my life and soul. My ego, it's fighting and resisting it like it doesn't care if it puts it into eternal hell. Yesterday I was punished severely by God the Great for having gone against His Commands. Now, I realize, it's not that I always WANTED to SURRENDER, but that I MUST. I have no choice. This ego shall die and burn.

Just lost my loving husband during the second wave of covid and seemed as if something deep inside has died. I try to give me many reasons to accept this fact but at the same time feel bitterness and resentment towards people who could help him at that time and did not do so. Forgiveness is the ultimate solution but how to forgive when you are deeply wounded and perhaps you are right that grief is taking the shape of anger and blame. This talk is so profound. May I understand and apply this knowledge.

I'm sorry to hear about your husband and am sending you a lot of love. May I offer a suggestion? ...if you ever are able to attend a retreat with Rupert soon..perhaps online..please do feel free to ask him for some guidance on how to reconcile these feelings of anger and resentment. While I had heard his other talks on grief, it didn't hit home as much as when he was directly speaking to me. In that moment, he met my consciousness directly and precisely so the answer was very tailored to me. If you have the opportunity to speak to him directly, it might help you further deepen your understanding. Sending you love and healing.

Rupert said it very eloquently and compassionately. Rupert's direct answer that he doesn't know the answer was indeed a compassionate concession to the mind. Prince Siddhartha, before he became "Buddha," he asked the same question, why do people suffer and die. My daughter asked me the same question, why infants or children die with cancer or health problems if God is the giver of life. It is a mystery. Indeed Rupert is correct to look inwards and embrace the feelings of sorrow as well as anger, the negative feelings will subside, just like thoughts rise and subside. If you look outwards to find answers, suffering will arise. It is the resistance to the seemingly fact (thoughts) that a precious object or subject is lost or taken away. This is due to the amount of attachment to the object or subject. The more a person is attached to an object to subject, the more resistance to the thoughts of death of that object or subject, and the longer it takes to let go. It is the resistance itself that is causing the sorrow or anger. It is the mind's nature to "not to let go," make us to find the answers to the "why" questions, or cause us to find a reason to blame. So as Rupert said, you go towards or inwards to the sorrow and embrace it or let it go. Everything outwards is all temporary appearances made by the dualistic mind. In duality, there is birth and death of everything outside of our selves. In non-duality, there is no birth and no death. In furtherance of Rupert's compassionate answer, there is a video in Rupert's KZread collection where a woman asks why did the baby that was born and all of sudden died. Rupert explained it by referencing the ripples of a disbanded whirlpool analogy. You may want to see the video. Thank you. 🙏

This is the crux for dealing with any question. But as Rupert itself said it takes a lot of courage and strength to encounter the raw emotion. It will only be capable for a subtle mind to do this earliest.

I just recently discovered him and I have to be honest, I am skeptical about discovering new authors/teachers/mediation or spiritual teachers but as I read his books and watch his videos, there is no difference between them.Just like Eckhart Tolle, he lives the things he writes down. Actually I do think authentic spiritual/awareness teachers have already live that way in a long time, I think someone just asked him how to live that way and request he writes it on a book or teach his wisdom, kindness, and stillness in meetings like this. I deeply respect him now. One of the criteria as well of spiritual teacher that is a sign that he is legit and truly the real deal is that their is no air of superiority in the way he teaches (and I can safely assume in his everyday private life as well he is like that because why not? It is the best way to live) which is a sign his teachings are pure and just want us to realize a loving and peaceful life before we all go back to the place of unmanifested.

There are various ways of escape but there is only one way of meeting sorrow. The escapes with which we are all familiar are really ways of avoiding the greatness of sorrow. The only way to avoid sorrow is to be without any resistance, to be without any movement away from sorrow, outwardly or inwardly, to remain totally with sorrow without wanting to go beyond it. -J. Krishnamurti

Facing your grief has been deadly for many people...who's lives ended in suicide. It is unwise to face an opponent heavier than yourself. Forget about David and Goliath. In the real world...Goliath usually wins. The least you can do is distract yourself from grief until it dissipates with time. The most you can do is transcend your attachment to what has been lost.

Very moving and compassionate by what Rupert is saying. However what he says about facing, allowing and feeling grief is easier said than done in my experience. There was so much resistance to it which felt automatic and natural. Gradually over time I was able to experience and face my grief ( over a close relationship ending). I couldn’t just face and accept it all immediately. So in the fairy tale the princess kisses the frog ( acceptance) and he turns into a prince. Magical! What magical thing happens when we face and accept grief and sadness?

And the answere is really simple, it is an experince for one that dies young and for people they stay here. I mean we really dont know exactly about anything behind this world or in this world. It is a mystic. And when we say someone dies, we doesnt understand the oneness. So when we understand the oneness, greef becomes a sweet taste and dieing doesnt even exist.

How you think things should be does not agree with what appears to be happening or with has happened. This disagreement can be removed by letting go of attachment and expectation. The best way to do this is to stop running away. Go deeply into the uncomfortable feeling. This is working out the disagreement.

Time is just an ilusion. Manifestation has no time. "The mayfly Dolania americana in which females typically live less than five minutes is the shortest lived of these, and is therefore the insect with the shortest reproductive life "

lies. dont keep picking at it. ignore and replace sorrowful memory and let your mind scab over the pain. dont welcome it, dont keep thinking about it. replace the memory, it is past.

The princess got the beautiful prince. So she was rewarded for her suffering. To me, that indicates that surely, there must be some purpose for suffering?

I get what you're trying to say, but is holding a toad actually 'suffering' though? Feels a bit dramatic to me. 😉 Kidding aside, I don't feel there is necessarily 'a purpose for suffering' and that suffering is needed per se, but when you allow life to eventually lead you into a situation or mental state where you experience suffering, it can be used to change your ways or perceptions which can then lead you to relief and expansion. So suffering can be a great catalyst when the one that suffers realises it holds this potential and capitalises on it. 💛🙏🏼

@@rijntje73 thank you for your answer (dankjewel?). I'm still thinking though: everyone suffers in their life, I don't think there has ever been a person who was happy all the way from birth to death, right? So, there must be a purpose to suffering. And that's probably your explanation, I agree.

@@carmenl163 Graag gedaan, Carmen. 😊 You're right, given the current state of the world and humanity, suffering becomes pretty much unavoidable. But I feel that potentially, if we would be in the right circumstances and didn't have so much distortions around us, affecting us, we would be able to live an entirely balanced and peaceful life, or a life that's almost entirely peaceful. If this was the case, we would live longer as well. But the suffering is your being telling you that something's not right, that you're either thinking or doing the wrong things or that your perception is warped. It tells you you're out of balance. It's a warning system.

Resisting that lost is suffering x infinity! She needs to stop measuring the phenomena! Why!, Is the first & only error the individual unit of self awareness always creates! Stop asking questions when there r no answers to anything! It is what it is! Aliveness needs no expectations!!!

Some die young because they were young when they died. If they were old when they died then they wouldn't die young. So maybe if people actually just understand life then we wouldn't have this predicament. I didn't watch the video but saw the video heading. And I just got done binge watching a lot of The Onion videos while meditating with my eyes open.
