johno doh allright, as long as it is fun it doesn't matter how good you are indeed:) i really think you just have to have a couple of epiphanies and you'll get a lot better! How is your picking stability? (that kept me from playing fast for years)
@alexandert696

Appie Kalaç Mediocre at best if you mean keeping up with the tempo. Unfortunately there arent many teachers around and many of those available are just lazy traditionalists making an extra buck.. They mostly play with their cellphones while you do the drills they picked out of a book, :)

johno doh Hey man, check out the book rock dicipline. I've been playing for over three years but only stopped sucking when I stopped playing the same half dozen songs over again. Running through scales (primarily major scale) to a metronome also helped with finger precision. The biggest thing is try playing things that are just out of your ability, play through it slowly, and slowly increase the tempo
the way that guy spelt favourite is the way us British spell it.

I always try to play guitar every 1-3 days... depending on how busy I am, and usually play between 30min - 5hrs. Really makes me get going...
You gotta make us an album man. "When Sisters Argue" was awesome. been here since you had 5,000ish subs. I'll be here when you hit a million.
You are my favorite KZread guitar teacher and I have watched about every notable one. Every video of yours gets me excited to practice. Please keep doing what you're doing man, I love your content.

I will, man, you can count on me! Thanks!
You motivate me man, I love playing guitar but there's times when I feel like I'm at a skill or mental block that demotivates me. I've been playing for 12 years but barely improved. The point you made about 15 minutes a day vs 2 hours a month is truth. I watched your videos on youtube and it helps me keep playing, hoping to be a better guitarist. Incorporating the content in your channel plus throwing down a little bit of guitar time every or every other day makes me feel like I've improved more these past couple months than the past few years. The discount on guitar super system 1 and 2 were impossible to pass up, despite me being broker than broke. You got quality lessons man

My stomach dropped when he answered my question I was Gus Medina 😂
u truly rock tyler, love your humor, knowledge and down to earth personality
You triggered the entire British Empire dude
Favourite is canadian/british spelling for favorite. 🤘
"favourite" is Commonwealth spelling. It's not incorrect :P
1:55 metallica yes this solo is awesome
Man, you like A perfect circle, now I love you even more, the band is one of my favorites, so many amazing songs.
You have taught me a lot sir. Your lessons are amazing thank you for making them free.
Tyler great QA! This really reminded me that it always comes to consistency, there is no shortcuts to becoming a shredgod. Bought your course, excited to expand my knowledge!

Thanks dude for all ur advice,it was very interesting im a huge fan of your videos! thanks for all videos, keep the videos coming much appreciated.
Yes I'd be bloody interested in one of your albums, it would be incredible.
I freaking love your channel!
Thanks for answering all our questions man! You are very passionate and committed to this channel and we all appreciate it! (aka James R Fisher)
I just purchased Guitar Super Systems. Keep up the great work.
I have a Chapman ML-3 and it's among the best guitars around for the money. It's basically a high-end hot-rod tele. I have 9 other guitars, several worth more than the ML-3, but I keep coming back to it especially for rock and blues.
Oh and btw, great video! I love the Q&A stuff.
You're a great KZreadr man. With your upload rate, you'll reach 100k subs in no time! God bless man:)
I'd love to hear an album, you are a great musician! 🎸
Just bought the super system 1 & 2... Looking forward to getting started.
Awesome buddy keep Bring in the videos so I can keep learning thank you
Just bought your course, been playing for almost 3 years but never really tried studying the music theory and improv side of things, hoping for the best !
you are a way too underrated
Yes for an album!
I dig your videos. You are a smart dude.
Cool man enjoyed it!
Loved it, you should definitely make these videos more often. PS I would love if you recorded an album.
I enjoyed the Q&A, too bad mine wasn't here! I'd love to hear a song or entire album that you've written, that'd be very cool! Also, I loved the clarinet question
Awesome Q and A! Also, I think you should make an album. I love your style and would totally buy it. :D
I definitely agree with the "Frequency of playing is better than general length of playing." I, for instance, have been playing at least hour a day for the past 8 years that I've been playing. But, I did have periods where I was very busy with school or something, so I would play for maybe 2 hours a week tops. Practicing has always been a priority for me, and I always look to get better.
Great video! Can't believe I won one of the courses! I've got both of them now so lots of practicing to do! :D
I'd love to see an album man, i'd buy it in a heartbeat
your the coolest man!
Oh my gosh I would love an album from you dude
Great video. Thanks.
Great channel !
I would love an album It's a shame that I didn't get my question, but still a great video. Thanks for all your work
I just subscribed and am loving your material. Please do more Q&As. Have you ever heard of Adam Neely? Do you work in jazz?
Yes, record an album!
u, claus levin and steve stine are my fave youtube guitar teachers
I'd buy your album (: really enjoy the videos, keep it up
Legend
I'll buy that album!
actually really smart answers!
when i started i just was kinda playing fun songs that i could play
Great q&a! I would buy any music you release sight unseen.
Just bought super system 1 thanks very nice
I would love it if you made an album! You have so many good instrumental-type tunes that you've been playing at the end of a number of your videos. They don't need words; the music alone is awesome. And IMO you don't need anything else to go with it. What you're playing all by itself is awesome. BTW, a friend of mine here in town, Isaac Turner (look him up here on KZread), has produced three of his own albums almost entirely on his own. He uses Ableton and some other software (I'm a Logic Pro fan myself). He's about done with the third album. 'Course, he spends ALL his free time (when he's not working at Guitar Center) doing that. The rest of the year is spent playing live shows at least a couple of times a week. Not saying you should do this... I LOVE your videos and would miss them if you stopped making them. Just sayin. :)
I don't know about you guys but my favorite riff is the opening riff to "Tornado of Souls" from Megadeth. That lick is full of fire!
nice video m8!!!!
You are a win!
Thank you Tyler, Like your approach of fun and knowledge, making guitar learning the more fun and self improving experience, Great Q&A. what is the name of the end track of your videos ? 2. I am creating my own songs and you have helped a lot, Using modes, scales and chords wanto to improve my playing and surf on inspiration where it takes me. Good Health and Happiness Always for you Both :)
Dude, i just switched my prs strings to elixirs a few months ago, They feel so much better than any string I have ever used.
An album would be very interesting!
The first question and answer was so blunt and funny

I am so glad you said Paul Gilbert :) It just goes to show you know what you are talking about. Paul Gilbert is the MAN! If you are reading this thinking who's this Paul Gilbert fella then OMG is this your lucky day. KZread is your friend ;)

By the way, the zen like answer about why you think you suck is perfect
so im not the only person who think Paul Gilbert is better than all those other guitarists mentioned :o great vid man! BTW I would so get your album if you were to make one.
would be very interested in listening to an album of yours
I suggest a DeWalt it's a good drill to learn modes faster it only has 2 modes usually 1 and 2. you can learn those modes super fast.
would love to hear some slidy blues on that resonator...
I never realized how much that Perfect Circle riff could be something from an Opeth song.
KZread video, music section. Sennstrato- nice guitar playing
Your favorite riff is one from APC? Extra respect Tyler! :) BTW, I've bought both Guitar Super System 1 and 2, but I still cannot completely master/understand the lesson of triads around the fretboard in the first one. What about an extended and in-depth lesson of that subject anytime soon? Thanks for sharing your guitar wisdom!
Record an album!!
Good video. I like these types of things, so thumbs up. Can't turn down your $10 offer, so... Yeah, you have another customer today. :D Keep on rocking!

You are the second music KZreadr I am subscribed to who happened to go to Berklee. What are the chances. Seems to produce the creme de la creme of musictubers. Heh. Anyway, what I was glad upon discovering your channel was that you weren't the average "now this is a lick in B minor" type chap and actually speak to the intermediate guitarists. I was getting annoyed that things were either tailored to complete newbies or people who like rigorously learning licks without a feel. I appreciate what you have given people like me. Thank you.

Do I wan't a album? Hell Yeah!
about the channels on youtube about learning guitar, there is TomHessMusicCorp as much as im starter yet and play bad, i learned alot there
'what are you, new to my channel?' hahha, genious!
Do you write your own music? any projects or anything like that? cause i saw that you also have a midi keyboard and really good quality gear for creating music but i never seemed to noticed you talk about on anything that you've been making like your own music or even didn't showed them, even know i'm kind of new to your channel (Also love your content.)
Tyler got to write a song called Linked below!
I like your "Joe Satriani" answer...nice...I thought you would say that...I can hear his style in your playing
Hey there. How did you learn guitar? Did you went in a music academy or did you just had classes with a teacher? By the way, at what age did you start play the guitar? And by the way, whats your age? Thank you and good luke for the future
You have to listen to the last LP of Lovecraft!!! ;)
omg you answered my question tysm 😂
TWO YEARS AND GOT INTO BERKLEE, LETS GO
+musiciswin I am in pursuit of a PRS and really want to add one to my arsenal. I almost added a lp but I feel prs is going to suit the way I play better. What 6 string models do u recommend?
