Why Do I Still Have The Hoosier Tire On My ONEWHEEL XR ? It's fun seeing different riders lines and following sometimes. I love how I can ride my local park like a snowboarder picking the best lines, hit to hit. But it's (maybe more) fun to surf that park, hitting the banks like waves, a different ride. Regularly I'll do a mixture of both styles. But it's ace how you can ride the same thing in many ways and different angles

I like your mention of a Onewheel etiquette. I also have a OW etiquette when riding around other people, being unfailingly polite saying excuse me and thank you as I go by and going out of my way to give other path/trail users their space. I also don't zoom past people, always slowing down while passing. I'm especially careful when there are little kids or dogs loose. Dogs tend to behave in two ways with OWs; they either ignore you completely, or they freak out and go barking and running after you. I ride trails in a park where in spite of a leash requirement for all dogs, the owners usually let them run around loose. I have found that the best way to deal with running and barking dogs is to ignore them completely. They quickly bore and/or accede to their owners demands to "come here!" I have not been bitten or nipped yet, although I have almost run over a couple of tiny dogs that chased me to get in my way. What a way to nosedive! Or maybe it would just be a rideable bump? I love your videos. You have a great family and yes, you are always smiling and positive about everything (except maybe the Hoosier treaded tire ;) Thanks for keeping us stoked and positive and just plain happy watching you guys being happy.

Hi Scott, another great video with your gang of Onewheelers! Hey I mentioned to you before that like you, I like the stock Vega. Yesterday I was going to have a brand new stock Vega put on my XR cuz I had about 1,300 miles on the tire, but then after speaking 2 the guy that does the installs, I opted for a new Vega Yellow slick that has a softer and grippier or compound than the stock Vega and is 6 inches wide instead of 6.5 for the stock Vega. I will let you know how it works out when I get it back probably tomorrow. However he told me that it's grippier and easier to carve although I've never had a problem carving on the stock Vega.

Will you be trying a Flightfins Hoosier treaded? I got myself the same hoosier treaded as you (the 5.5) and was didnt know how to feel coming from a Vega tire. It turns out the flightfins version and the one on craftandride are completely different tires! Your current tire has 3 rows of treads on the top while the flightfins version has 4 rows of treads, making the tire much wider. The flightfins hoosier honestly feels like a vega with treads on it. 500km on mine Hoosier 6.0 FF still prefer my VEGA.. 15 PSI feels better while carving now and feels more smooth than brand new :) but to easy to carve, i prefer big tire because i prefer to have to put more weight/strength while carving, more fun in my opinion ! It's like Inmotion V10 vs Ninebot Z10 in EUC comparison the Ninebot is more fun because the tire is bigger and require more immersion for turning, more fun and sport ride, my futur electric unicycle for sure :) (i have only the Inmotion V10F who is way better and more fun for Offroad ride than my Onewheel+XR with FF hoosier). Ive read it doesn’t really fit. I really want to try it. Is there a new version that actually fits?

Love the onewheel and NOT a golfer, but pretty sure they’re not going to respond well to that. Do u want onewheel is banned?

@@ScotMendenhall we are lucky enough that we have a couple of closed golf corses localy and they are both awesome for there own separate reasons, but they are the best riding I've ridden and I rode through another one that was actually open and after playing on the greens I came around a corner and saw golfers and imedietly got back on the sidewalk and tried to stay out of there way and then they started yelling something at me so I was like they got me so lets go and try to cool off the situation cause I'm trying to keep up the good and leave the bad. turns out they were saying how cool it looked and what is it all the normal questions and they actually just wanted to check it out and were really cool about it. i rode on and ran into another guy same reactions and he was surfer and was rather stoked by the idea of our Onewheels. I say yeah try and talk to someone in the know and do it the right way, a couple a courses are actually cool with us as long as its just a few of us, i would go and do a full on group ride in prime time gulf season though..

If the wheel on the one wheel is the same size of a golf cart tire anyways why would it matter? Just follow the rules of the golf course and steer clear of damaged spots, greens, or wet areas. I guarentee that the average golf swing does more damage than a onewheel.
