7:50 my labradoodle got an ear infection at ...4-5 months after a bath. That poor thing was so scared he would cry and cry ... run from room to room because he couldn't find any peace. I had to take him to the hospital and they calmed him down....... advice given to me was to insert cotton balls into the ears for baths. I've done that ever since and he's not had an ear infection since. Thank god

One groomer stated that if careful as mentioned and cleaned, you can leave their ear hair alone unless your vet feels it is indicated. I feel it is worth considering as it hurts.

Hi! Great video! I have Sable golden doodle that has turned cream, like your dog with the brown "butt" spots. Now, at 2 years old his hair is turning a darker gray at his neck and is spreading down his back. Very interesting. His mom (golden doodle herself) was gray and father (poodle) was white with black spots. Seems like he is turning gray. But I would have thought the color change would have stopped by now. No complaints. He's a keeper no matter 🥰

"Phantom" which are the tan points, are actually a gene trait and not all poodles are phantom. So that Phantom comment in the video is not correct. Phantom typically expresses itself at birth or within the few weeks after birth and will progress overtime, but it has to come from a parent that carries the phantom gene. It typically doesn't show up due to coat fading and leaving brown points. I feel like that is important to clarify. In your litters the brown spots will come from the dad who is parti. (commenting respectfully!)

The reason they fade isn't correct either, it like the tan prints can be DNA tested to determine if your puppies will have it. The dilute gene is common in poodles, but not every Poodle has it.

My goldendoodle loves his kitten brother! My doodle was 8 months old when we got a kitten. I did have to watch them in the first week, Max the doodle is so playful and energetic and I was afriad he would hurt Stanley the kitten by accident. But it's been a month and they're best friends! Max accidentally knocked Stanley the cat off of a chair once. Stanley was fine, it was a small drop and he landed on his feet. Our loving sweet Max was so sad and felt so bad. And now I can just tell that Max will never accidentally knock Stanley down again.

How about saying it straight up? A Goldendoodle can have the "graying" gene which is incompletely dominant. So if one parent gave the puppy a graying gene (G) and the other a non-graying (g) - the resulting black puppy (Gg) will be turn a darkish gray (and a chocolate puppy a medium brown/gray) by the time they're 2. IF they get the graying gene from both parents they'll have GG and will end up a lighter gray (silver) or lighter brown/gray (silver beige) by the time they're 1-1/2 to 2. A cream, apricot, red doodle can carry the graying gene but it's color won't be affected because the graying gene doesn't effect red/yellow hair. (Other factors determine whether a "yellow" dog will be cream, apricot or red).

We use a grain free salmon dog food for our dogs. It’s Natures Recipe we order through Amazon, they also have a puppy formula. I would ask your vet also if that is ok for your dog. As far as the ears, you can clean with a 1:1 white vinegar and rubbing alcohol solution, or order a cleaning solution that is made for dog ears. Also you can place cotton gently in the ear before bathing to avoid water getting down in there. Hope this helps 😀

As an owner of a 6mos old in a home, please know these are very active socially engaged dogs who want to go, do run and play a lot, which is you wear out first. Ours was a very calm sweet baby, and is as I described, but very sweet. Training needs to begin day one, so do not get one unless you want to and have time to put in the work, plus grooming needs. That said we still love her and are in the nibbling chewing phase, so educate yourself. They are sooo cute, and hard to resist. Please take puppy proofing seriously or they will eat everything including socks and undies and toys, plus tissues and paper towels. Reality bites at times.

Poodles and golden doodles get a lot of hair in their ears which they recommend you remove. I have a pair of forceps which I use to clamp the navals on puppies during the birthing process if it is needed, and those forceps work really well to gently pull the hair from the dogs' ears. Only take a strand or two at a time and don't do a whole lot at a sitting, sooner do it over many short sessions. Helps a bunch with keeping the dogs' ears free from infection. If left to their own devices and not trimmed, the poodles and doodles start to look like Tina Turner with hair standing up 6 or 7 ", kind of like a dandelion puff with legs and hair dye. I use a small childs scissors with blunt ends and when my dogs come over and sit beside me, I run them thru any mats to clip the mat free and I trim small sections at a time back to about 2" in the summer and 4" in the winter, that way they never go completely wild and do not require constant trips to the groomer. I use a little olive oil on a gauze patch to loosen and clean debris from their ears. By maintaining a little at a time, it keeps them from dragging in grass seeds and dirt from outside and keeps everybody presentable.

Micheline, I had a Cavapoo & he was the most adorable, wonderful dog. I can't help you find a breeder, though. I got him at 10 months old from a friend who had a change of circumstances and had to give him up. I was the lucky one to have him in my life. I can affirm that not only are Cavapoos very cute, they are excellent companions. They are smart & easy to train, love to be around people & enjoy other dogs' company. Great with children, they are non-shedders, don't bark much and don't require as much space & exercise as larger, higher energy dogs. My dog, Buddy, loved to ride in the car & traveled well. Cavapoos love to be with you & would rather go with you than stay home alone. Buddy was a therapy dog for 6 yrs & we visited people in assisted living, nursing homes & children's hospitals. He loved it & everyone he visited loved him. His sweet, loveable personality was perfect for serving as a therapy dog. Most Cavapoos would be quiet, obedient companions if allowed in your office work space. I had 11 great yrs with Buddy. I would get another Cavapoo in a heartbeat. Here is the downside (the only one in my opinion) of Cavapoos. They are shorter lived than many of the "designer" breeds (poodle + other breed). Cavalier King Charles Spaniels can have a variety of health problems such as congenital heart defects, eye problems, knee (patella) defect, and tendency to develop diabetes as they age. Unfortunately my sweet boy, Buddy, had all those health problems except for the knee defect. I don't mean to discourage you, but as you look for your Cavapoo, I'd advise that you do as much research as you can to assess the health of your puppy & his parents. I wish you well in your search for your Cavapoo. They are a total joy to have in your life!

My F1b has a black father and black grand father in and a white poodle on her moms side. She’s black with a patch of white on her cheat

I am sorry but pure poodles from strong single color lineage do not fade like that. A pure black poodle from purely black parents for many generations will remain very black all her/his life.

Probably true, but with all the interbreeding that has been done it’s hard to find a “purely black” poodle anymore.... especially one that would allow breeding with a doodle mix.
