• Larry Elder - The Fath...
In their conversation, Zuby and Larry Elder tackle the pressing issue of fatherlessness in America, particularly in the black community. Elder highlights alarming statistics, such as 70% of black children growing up without a father in the home, and emphasizes the detrimental effects of father absence on poverty, crime, and education. They discuss the correlation between absent fathers and negative outcomes, citing examples from Tupac to crime statistics.
Elder challenges the notion that systemic racism is the root cause, pointing to historical data and personal anecdotes to underscore the importance of personal responsibility. He shares his father's inspiring story of overcoming adversity through hard work and determination. They also discuss potential solutions, such as mentorship programs and community involvement, to address the issue of father absenteeism and its far-reaching consequences. Overall, their conversation sheds light on the critical need for addressing fatherlessness as a fundamental social problem in America.

I really liked the story about Larry's father. My father never finished high school but he was also the smartest man I ever knew. He worked as a janitor at Illinois Bell while raising five children. My mother never had to work. Eventually, he bought a house and worked three jobs to keep up with the bills. We never heard him complain. We were poor but happy kids. My father was a devout Christian and he made sure we knew right from wrong. He was a strict disciplinarian but he read to us every night. He became a truck driver for the company and retired from Illinois Bell as a supervisor of transportation. He had a great sense of humor and was a well-respected member of his church.

If Trump wins, I hope Larry Elder is part of the trump team to work within the black community, basically doing what I hoped that Obama should have done by bringing whites and blacks closer together or at minimum give blacks the hopes for a better future unfortunately he didn't do either and that will be Obama legacy.

Echo Park in LA was a filthy homeless encampment for YEARS. The Super Bowl comes in LA and low and behold, it all gets cleared out. What a coincidence.
