• Larry Elder - The Fath...
Zuby and Larry Elder discuss the unique political landscape of California, where liberal dominance seems entrenched despite demographic shifts. They explore how messaging and branding shape political perceptions, particularly among minority voters. Elder highlights Trump's policies benefiting minorities and challenges media narratives about him.
They also dissect misinterpretations of Trump's statements, illustrating how biases persist even in the face of contrary evidence. Their conversation underscores the complexity of political polarization and the power of media narratives in shaping public opinion.

I moved out of California in July 2019. In March I went back to visit my brother and nephews. He was complaining about how his utility bills keep going up and the high gas prices. When we drove through Sacramento you could clearly see things have gone downhill since I left in 2019 and when I ask him why doesn’t he stop voting for the democrats he said the alternative would be a lot worse. I just looked at him and kept silent.

I’m in SoCal and trust me I’ve had this argument a million times. Everyone complains endlessly about how expensive and shitty LA is, and then when I suggest voting for the guy who wants to do the opposite of the current policy it’s like their brain breaks. They want people to stop crime and remove dangerous insane people from the street. But then think a cop even talking sternly to someone is brutality and a civil rights violation. It baffles me.

Explain the logic and reasoning for 50 years of validation Bass approves of Skid Row and officially approved by all politicians: Skid Row was established by city officials in 1976 as an unofficial "containment zone", where shelters and services for homeless people would be tolerated - it is not a housing problem it's an epidemic of mentally ill which includes drug addiction - let's see if Bass gets a clue for skid row? Tiny Homes, LMAO 911 calls are on the rise at the TINY HOMES and, both sections 9.41 and 9.58 authorize the removal of a person who appears to be mentally ill and displays an inability to meet basic living needs, even when no recent dangerous act has been observed. These laws and many others need to be beefed up and created by politicians/lawmakers but Ronnie closed all the hospitals cuz of the millions of dollars of abuse lawsuits.

I feel like there are so many components to this question. 1 - the way they frame the ¨propositions¨, makes it sound good but the law itself is not. Most people in CA are too chill to read beyond the title. (eg: Prop 47 ran as a ¨fair¨sentencing for people that shoplifted because they were starving. Who is gonna vote against it? ). 2 - Historically CA did so well economically that very few people were really involved in politics. Now is a bit too late. 3 - Democrats spend so much money with ¨branding¨, like Larry said. This you can´t deny, that they are good at ¨marketing¨.

Trump signed into law the First Steps Act into place to help criminals re-enter society and give them a second chance. This act, due to the criminal population, disproportionately helps black men attempt to become part of society once more. You will NEVER hear about this from the mainstream media.

I was stopped several times by police, and they all checked my ID but treated me well. I grew up poor and I had three weeks off before my carpenter's jobs next project One Mexican police officer in a county south of LA had a long chat with me. He said he was taking a job in Texas my home state because he found the people friendly. He said, Californians are rude and don't dare for others. He said I would find people more friendly as I traveled north up the coast. I will always remember his kindness he also helped me get a room for the night. What he said I found to be true. And I hate to think that way because I’m from SoCal and spent 37 of my 43 years there, my family is all still there, and it was an incredible place to grow up, right up until around the late 90s/early 2000s. If I remember correctly, 99 was when the shift happened. Democrat governor, state house and senate started going left, and ever since they’ve had a monopoly on power in the state. They control everything, and the real problem is they are patently incapable of admitting to any mistake and taking responsibility, they refuse to be accountable to anyone, and they refuse to change even in the face of disastrous unforeseen consequences of their policies.

Unfortunately, it won’t. To this day, people debate how the great nations of the past could have been saved and rarely is there ever ways to do it. It seems humans are doomed to have an endless cycle within a finish earth (we’ve already used the easiest to access fuel sources, so if the present day societies collapse, there’s no way to reach the industrial stage ever again, nevermind beyond that).

People are too stuck on how we got here as opposed to what we're going to do moving forward. I don't think getting an education holds the same value or prestige it used to.

Education as an institution is not going to save us. Returning to a traditional household that has a parent in the home is the only thing would make a difference. Our children have been abandoned to institutions that are guided by lawyers, rather than parents that are willing to be open and honest when teaching a child about the world and how to survive it.

I will Always oppose school choice, I moved out of Baltimore to get away from the unparented children there. i want my kids to go to a school where everyone going to the school wants to be taught, if half the kids from those dysfunctional schools went to the better schools they would destroy those schools.

very thoughtful discussion, havent heard of Zuby before. Been sad to watch the decline of California over time. I only visit periodically and at times the steps downward have been stark and alarming. These days I stay away.

Mexica ppl weren’t Hispanic, lol. They were colonized by White Europeans and forced to become Hispanic, just as much of the MENA was colonized by Imperial Islam. When you are this clownishly undereducated, terrorists become heroes.

You can't change the messaging. Republicans, by definition, will not promise you free money and emotions. To brand better would be to sell out. It's ball game for the free world, and it ain't new and it ain't the 1st time.

When I took a marketing class back in 1993, it was the one thing that opened my eyes to the larger political picture in America. This guy is spot on, all of the messes we see in this country now, all start with public relations and marketing firms and/or experts.
