Once a granite chin gets cracked, it doesn’t always come back. Look at mark hunt’s later portion of his career

I have so much respect for bisping. I hated him when I was younger but understanding the guy always fought clean against the most dangerous middleweights who for the most part were on rocket fuel. He won a world title with one eye and fought the best of his era. Never turned down a fight that I know of so to me the guy is in my top 10 of all time.

I crushed Henderson one time in training, no one knows about me. But there were lots of ufc fighters during early mid 2000s I regularly smoked in training and sparring. I’m a 41-6 kickboxer, fought in K-1 most of my career, these dudes couldn’t hang with me 90% of them were sloppy wrestle/boxers with overhand rights. You avoid that and it’s easy pickings.

It was definately an upset at the time, without trt vitor, Rockhold seemed unbeatable. But the fact is that Rockhold had a bad habit of dropping his right hand and retreating on a straight line. Bisping exploited it. and Jan blahovich exploited it. Its important not to diminish the brinksmanship bisping pulled.

I don't think anyone in the ufc was ever hit harder then bisbing when Hendo put his entire body weight into that elbow on his face

I loved Henderson and always thought he was the most underrated mma fighter of all time. However, Bisping has garnered an ever expanding fan base as a commentator. My loyalty to him now is almost insurmountable !

Like many others said, Bisping used to rub me the wrong way years ago. He just came across as someone who thought he was better than everyone but I was wrong about him. One of my favorite personalities in the sport by a long way now.

Hendo never got popped for illegal substances. Was never at crazy levels and stopped when he was told to.

Hendo is one of the nicest guys I have ever dealt with in the sport. Living in Vegas for a few years and coaching boxing back in the aughts, I would run into atleast several UFC guys a day, whether in the gym or at the Lucky's supermarket or the casino restaurants. Ax Murderer Silva is my favorite guy, he really helped me out when I needed a gig and is beyond just a great guy. Hendo on the other hand was a great family man who never got caught up in the bullshit or degeneracy. If you saw him he was with his family or training, that is it. Bisping everybody hated, there was no one else like it. He was pretty much universally thought of as a jagoff that nobody wanted anything to do with

As I've got older, I've realised that just because someone comes across as a "nice guy" or "easily to get along with" might seem to be someone to want to know superficially. These are just personality traits. But for me, real morals come from your actions. Especially actions when things are going hard, and sticking to those morals. This is why I have no respect for Hendo. Being Mr Nice guys means knowing when you cowardly cheat.

One of my other favorite guys to party and hang with was Jon "Warmachine" Kopenhaver. Really good dude whom i liked but had a wicked temper. Youre not wrong, good charisma and charm with a flawed moral character can be a nightmare. Hendo is a good guy though as was Evan Tanner and Silva. Certain guys would go out of their way to help others out and treated fans well so I guess that counts as actions. But again, you are right

As good gestures build your brand/image. And are almost self serving. It's easy to give to charity etc when you have millions. Plus, you can actually do a lot of these things anonymously.

Retirement plays a huge part in ufc decision politics. If they know your gonna retire and the fight goes to decision you have to finish the fight to win. Those split decisions can and will be fixed I know it in my bones. If Dan smashed bisping the second Time why did Dan retire with a loss???

I had it as a draw, bisping came back hard the last 3 rounds, I remember a lot had it 3-2 hendo as well, UFC judges will forever be shit

I HATED Bisping back in the day. But you supposed to, that’s his shtick. Now I respect and understand him. He goes to War, every time. The late hit Henderson gave him was wrong and illegal. Can’t say I wouldn’t have done it though. It’s easy to get rapped up when you beat people ass for a living.

Bisping is the cleanest fighter that ever fought and that ever won a championship! His Commentating is absolutely precise, fair and Bang on. He's a great fighter a great commentator and a legend of the sport. He's come full circle and is now humble, mature and respectful as a veteran of life and the sport. Plus a great family man

I have respect for both fighters. Read both their books. Seen the 2nd fight numerous times. Hendo should've been crowned champ in that 2nd fight. Hendo has been plagued with politics throughout his career. Even in wrestling.

Props to Bisping but Dan Henderson beat the shit out of him in the second fight. Dan Henderson took little damage and Bisping looked like he got in a fight with a chimp or something. Bisping landed lots of punches but I’d give the fight to Dan on damage alone. You could look at them and tell who won.

He’s got AT LEAST 3 decisions that would’ve gone the other way to less popular fighters. My theory on it is zuffa was looking for stars to expand into the old pride Euro market and bisping was easily the biggest name they had. If you go back and watch his first fight in the UK against hamill it was a joke. Easy win for Matt and they gave it Mike…then he was still a douche about it lol

Busting is one of the few “REAL” fighters. He’s not one these boring ass point fighters or a Jock sniffing wrestler. No problem with a good wrestler if they mix it up and do real work when they have someone in the ground.

I remember when they were both coaches on The Ultimate Fighter, Bisping taunted Henderson relentlessly. He never shut the fugg up. I think he's pretty funny now but he wasn't then, just annoying as heII. I was so happy when Hendo put his lights out!

Hendo is one of my all time favorite fighters, I’ve met him at his gym and he couldn’t be anymore down to earth. I’ve grown to like bisping and his comeback and never quit story, but I believe some of his biggest victories like the hendo 2 and Silva victories were handed to him by the UK judges

Also I remember Vitor saying that TRT being banned was unfair more or less because it kept him from being able to compete and make a living. I was like is this dude fucking serious? It's not fair that you're too old to compete without cheating? Aside from injury, getting old is something that ends every athletes career in all sports, even golf. .
