Khabib was definitely afraid of El Cucuy in his prime. At that time, Tony had more experience and was a more seasoned fighter than Khabib with a 5-year age gap. I was so confident Ferguson would have handed him his first loss in the UFC.

Tony had answers to Khabib. Tony had submissions, he had good wrestling, he had insane cardio, crazy pace, great scrambling ability and his unorthodox style wasn’t something khabib was familiar with. The first 4 times they were scheduled, Khabib WOULD have lost. Khabib’s 3 best wins aren’t comparable to the overall fighter Tony was in his prime.

I think Khabib would've won but it would put an end to the rivalry with mutual respect (they both clearly respect each other) or a potential for a rematch doen the lane if it happened earlier.

I believe Khabib would have been still victorius had they fought on those 4 different occasions (not sure abt the 2015 one lol), but I think Khabib might take some damage compare to his other opponents, or even possibly be cut open somewhat if very unfortunate. But I think Khabib would've emerged victorius mostly. Not sure if people remember that Tony vs Kevin Lee fight, and how Tony was fortunately saved by the bell in first round from major g&p? Too bad Kevin eventually got tired and his pace slowed down upcoming rounds, but I don't think that will be issue with Khabib. Unless Tony pulls off some hail mary next level BJJ shit that's out of this world, the most likely scenario is Ferguson pulling guard, but proceeds to get mauled.

Anyone who thinks Tony would've won that fight isn't being true to themselves. Did you see what khabib did to Gaethje? Did you see what Oliveira did to Tony and how Makhachev made Oliveira look easy?

B J Penn defeated Matt Hughes and Matt Sierra before getting washed up. Tony in his prime was unstoppable. Prime Tony would have easily destroyed Gaethje, Poirier or Conor and Oliviera. Just BJ and Khabib were tough opponents for him.
