Nothing like the homeowner that decides on Saturday afternoon that it is a perfect time to fix that months old small drip by using the idea in the new shortcut repair video he watched last night. Then his home water has to remain turned off overnight and he pays Sunday labor rates to have a real plumber fix his "FAIL". Not to mention that Momma is pissed off at him for attempting the repair in the first place. 😄😉 (NOTE: comment provided by a retired plumbing contractor that saw many variations of the Fail story during forty-five years in the trade👌)

Muito bom. Quando fiz na minha casa ou atender um pedido. Uso em todos terminais um juelho ou luva de metal. No caso do T para encaixar com cola o cano tendo pressão com água colava primeiro o T com os materiais preparados. Fura furo por dentro do T com cola já passada nas pessas lógico que a água sai rápido ao introduzir os terminais com um registro. Pode realizar o trabalho com pressão d'água. Foi muito bom.

Acho interessante informarem o país de origem do vídeo, os materiais usados são muito diferentes dos habitualmente utilizados no Brasil. Os tubos de pvc brasileiros são mais rígidos e não aceitam bem moldagem com fogo.

O melhor é quebrar a parede e verificar melhor se o cano não está rachado na parte interna no caso de um apartamento uma gambiarra mau feita pode trazer dores de cabeça para o proprietário.

Interesting ways to get out of jams, not sure many of them are necessarily a good idea. Obviously this country must be on low pressure systems, we don't use plastic other than PB for water in the uk.

@@tipsunknow pressure in the uk is between 1.5 and 9 bar although if a high as 9 we reduce down to 3 as appliances don't like it.

The first thing I've noticed is that the existing pipe is not for water use, it's for electrical conduit pipe and very soft. But the technique is good anyway.

Which country are you from? I'm amazed at the creativity and problem solving skills in these videos

No hagan eso, en la primera no se como encaja el caño sin desestabilizar toda la cañería. hay que picar un poco mas, la "vieja cañería No se debe mover para atrás. en la 2da, va a perder agua. los codos o suplementos T , se adhieren formando parte de la cañería, sino la presión del agua hace que se escape por cualquier lado. Lo mismo el 3er, y el 4to...no se ni que decir. Se entiende que el caño por algo es es de desagüe? que eso va a estar lleno de agua y al agua no la paran así nomas? Imaginen un hidrante de esos de bomberos, en USA, con una canilla, solo una canilla. Se entiende?

If your in the UK ' DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME ' ... Some good skill here that could be used as a temporary fix on MOST waste or overflow systems or these ideas are perfect for water butt storage systems but UK plastic pipes that carry mains water are not built like these and if you start heating them up and drilling into them your going to find yourself in a whole heap of trouble and soggy socks.

​@@tipsunknow Hi. UK mains plastic pipe is made of an outer and inner plastic pipe with a thin plastic membrane that runs between them. the average water preasure in the UK is 2 - 4 bar... UK waste pipe though is made of solid plastic ...

Türkiye'de bu borular dranajda kullanıyor. hangi akıl bu dandik borudan 8 bar basınçlı su geçirebilir ki... These pipes are used in drainage in Turkey. What kind of mind could think that this shoddy pipe can withstand 8 bar of pressure to pass water through?

This video is good to be seen by people who want to learn what no do at all cost

@@tipsunknow I'm sure you know how to do things properly. You show the opposite for some reason. I watch videos of plumbing for passion. You know that you need to fit a tee between 2 slip coupling and 2 piece of pipe and you know that if you have to fix a pipe feeding An outside tap you need to go to the other side of the wall and take off the entire lenght through the wall and do a proper repair instead fitting a smaller pipe in it which will cause restriction As you reduce the inne bore. I hope one day you'll start doing proper repairs. Thanks for the politeness but really, use proper fittings instead of frying to modify something not meant to work that way (bodging), especially It It is not for drain (low pressure) bit for water supply high pressure which could even leak. Greets

i wouldnt trust any of these methods on a supply water line ! maybe on a drain line ,it would still be iffy

Okay, so I was watching and thinking and wondering about "what if I were to have done any of these and made the wrong cuts, and subsequently ran out of pipe supply in a remote location or some situation like that?" 🤔 would I be able to use something like a tin can as a substitute?...just thinking... I get that pvc is mutable, and probably a candle lamp or lighter would work, but the former engineer's daughter in me is still wondering how reliable my own makeshift work is, additionally. ... suggestions appreciated. Thanks for the vid.

I just hope we get good proper repaired and quality material. The tap turned in by hand will never hold. Plastick pipes in the open is bad choosing of material

They sell a tool, inside pipe cutter and insider pipe extenders that accomplishes these tasks! No need to fabricate tools / fittings

When you create an "inside coupler" this is a restriction which will also cause debris to build up and clog at that junction --> ___=___ -->

@@csmith8503 even municipal or spring water will have minerals in it at the very least. If you have ever sweated copper pipe even with that you're supposed to deburr the inside of a cut - this transition created here is much bigger than a burr.

I agree but this system uses fittings that are no better than conduit so it would have the lip even if using a fitting

Who cares... you can cut it off when that happens 20 years later... poke a bore brush in . and glue/weld in a new piece.

Nice but seems prone to leaks.
