    honestly thought this would be another low-grade video like so many others, but was pleasantly surprised, Like the accumulator before the washing machine was a clever and simple idea that solved an issue. The little card and sticky tape for carper corner was also a nice quick little trick for perfectly square corners. Sure there are other ways to fix things, but *THIS* is the kind of creativity the world needs more of for cheap but effective work-arounds to practical problems.

    great ideas, but i have 2 enhancements. 1. don't use superglue to glue PVC pieces. use the proper plumber's cement. i figure that since PVC is available in your area, the plumber's cement should be as well. 2. on the 1st project where he's making better water flow for his washer, putting the shut-off after his invention was a good idea, but he should have left the shut-off valve in-line before his invention. having 2 shut-offs (one before and one after) makes working on the system easier with less water waste. if only one shut-off is available, then he should have left it before the unit. this would cause less water waste when he has to work on the system.

    Hello, thanks for the nice centrifugal filter diy, with the rivet tip very nice ! The trick after, with the gutter, i REALLY didn't understood the point of allt his pipes going up and down, the bottle, the bubbles... It looks likes it can clog the same way as "straight away" evacuation pipe, isn't it ? Could you help me to understand ?

  • @tipsunknow

    @tipsunknow

    8 ай бұрын

    I'm glad you found the centrifugal filter DIY helpful! As for the gutter modification with the pipes and bottle, the purpose of this setup is to create a kind of water trap or siphon effect. The pipes going up and down and the bottle act as a barrier to prevent sewer gases and odors from entering your home through the drainage system. When water flows through the pipes and into the bottle, it creates a seal that prevents gases from passing back up through the pipes and into your home. This is a common plumbing technique used to prevent odors and gases from escaping. It doesn't necessarily prevent clogs in the same way as a straight pipe, but it does help maintain a sanitary and odor-free environment in your home. So, in summary, the setup with the pipes and bottle is mainly for odor control and ensuring that gases from the drainage system don't enter your living space. It's a preventive measure rather than a solution for clogs.

  • @ludodg

    @ludodg

    8 ай бұрын

    I’m sorry but no. The system with the bottle and pipes creates a siphon. The water level will rise in the bottle and oncce it is high enough in the bottle it will flow into the siphon. This creates suction. So once the water gets into the siphon it will suck water out of the gutter through the siphon. This works only if the water-level gets too high

    I still don't understand the interest @@tipsunknow One time debris are caught in the gutter, it need to go out sometimes... Also gutter are large, normal evacuation pipes are _also large_ to ensure proper evacuation of everything.. It seems that this system will clog easily, cant be unclogged easily, now you glued eveything... (Normal syphon are openable easily..) So ok maybe no smell inside the pipe because of the water syphon, but normal gutter evacuation doesn't smell, as any organic materials are evacuated / didn't enter with the help of a mesh preventing materials to accumulate in the gutter... Still mysterious for me .. ^^🤔

    @@tipsunknow smells have nothing top do with the gutter siphon. You're just making this stuff up aren't you? You have no intention of actually using them in real life. They don't work. they are concepts which appeal to apartment dwellers or people who are impressed by complexity and ignorant of practicalities. -The laundry tank water storage holding pipe will not drain any faster than the faucet, as it is under a vacuum. -The large water bottle catchment will clog up in two minutes. Also, you should direct all water away from foundations, As well, disaster drilling into wall that far. Water will enter. Are these abandoned buildings you're destroying just for youtube ad revenue? -The gutter siphon doesn't even solve any problem you have with drainage because your pipes are fine and run clear already, and the device will only get blocked by the first leaf. Although seemingly clever, what is called in engineering "a solution looking for a problem."

    The second project has some faults to it. For one, it looks like you're letting water come out of 2 sections, which you should have one pipe set to a drainage system where the unusable water with the leaves and bugs in it will be filtered out or at the least put into a drainage ditch. The bucket of clean water will get contaminated with rust from the iron after enough time. A plastic mesh would be more effective in this case. I am tempted to put some of these into work, but I know plastic doesn't rust, where metals do rust. I kinda want to make some modifications to your existing ideas though... I would also advise to use a larger means of storing collected water for later use, just in case. Or a means of draining the water from your large filter into multiple buckets, as there is cause for concern for considering it wrong to waste water. A larger means of collecting rain water to minimize your need for using cold water from plumbing.

    I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, O Lord, show this also to thy servant: whether after death, as soon as every one of us yields up his soul, we shall be kept in rest until those times come when thou wilt renew the creation, or whether we shall be tormented at once?" 76 He answered me and said, "I will show you that also, but do not be associated with those who have shown scorn, nor number yourself among those who are tormented. 77 For you have a treasure of works laid up with the Most High; but it will not be shown to you until the last times. 78 Now, concerning death, the teaching is: When the decisive decree has gone forth from the Most High that a man shall die, as the spirit leaves the body to return again to him who gave it, first of all it adores the glory of the Most High. 79 And if it is one of those who have shown scorn and have not kept the way of the Most High, and who have despised his law, and who have hated those who fear the Most High -- 80 such spirits shall not enter into habitations, but shall immediately wander about in torments, ever grieving and sad, in seven ways. 81 The first way, because they have scorned the law of the Most High. 82 The second way, because they cannot now make a good repentance that they may live. 83 The third way, they shall see the reward laid up for those who have trusted the covenants of the Most High. 84 The fourth way, they shall consider the torment laid up for themselves in the last days. 85 The fifth way, they shall see how the habitations of the others are guarded by angels in profound quiet. 86 The sixth way, they shall see how some of them will pass over into torments. 87 The seventh way, which is worse than all the ways that have been mentioned, because they shall utterly waste away in confusion and be consumed with shame, and shall wither with fear at seeing the glory of the Most High before whom they sinned while they were alive, and before whom they are to be judged in the last times. 88 "Now this is the order of those who have kept the ways of the Most High, when they shall be separated from their mortal body. 89 During the time that they lived in it, they laboriously served the Most High, and withstood danger every hour, that they might keep the law of the Lawgiver perfectly. 90 Therefore this is the teaching concerning them: 91 First of all, they shall see with great joy the glory of him who receives them, for they shall have rest in seven orders. 92 The first order, because they have striven with great effort to overcome the evil thought which was formed with them, that it might not lead them astray from life into death. 93 The second order, because they see the perplexity in which the souls of the ungodly wander, and the punishment that awaits them. 94 The third order, they see the witness which he who formed them bears concerning them, that while they were alive they kept the law which was given them in trust. 95 The fourth order, they understand the rest which they now enjoy, being gathered into their chambers and guarded by angels in profound quiet, and the glory which awaits them in the last days. 96 The fifth order, they rejoice that they have now escaped what is corruptible, and shall inherit what is to come; and besides they see the straits and toil from which they have been delivered, and the spacious liberty which they are to receive and enjoy in immortality. 97 The sixth order, when it is shown to them how their face is to shine like the sun, and how they are to be made like the light of the stars, being incorruptible from then on. 98 The seventh order, which is greater than all that have been mentioned, because they shall rejoice with boldness, and shall be confident without confusion, and shall be glad without fear, for they hasten to behold the face of him whom they served in life and from whom they are to receive their reward when glorified. 99 This is the order of the souls of the righteous, as henceforth is announced; and the aforesaid are the ways of torment which those who would not give heed shall suffer hereafter." 100 I answered and said, "Will time therefore be given to the souls, after they have been separated from the bodies, to see what you have described to me?" 101 He said to me, "They shall have freedom for seven days, so that during these seven days they may see the things of which you have been told, and afterwards they shall be gathered in their habitations." 102 I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, show further to me, thy servant, whether on the day of judgment the righteous will be able to intercede for the ungodly or to entreat the Most High for them, 103 fathers for sons or sons for parents, brothers for brothers, relatives for their kinsmen, or friends for those who are most dear." 104 He answered me and said, "Since you have found favor in my sight, I will show you this also. The day of judgment is decisive and displays to all the seal of truth. Just as now a father does not send his son, or a son his father, or a master his servant, or a friend his dearest friend, to be ill or sleep or eat or be healed in his stead, 105 so no one shall ever pray for another on that day, neither shall any one lay a burden on another; for then every one shall bear his own righteousness and unrighteousness." 2 Esdras 2:31 '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

    @@tipsunknow you see to my reason ive learned that in ancient times the nations who were considered as a spit in the bucket in the eyes of the ALmighty was simply due to the fact, the Word of truth that makes rich,.. was absent from them, but made richly available through holy prophets, to a chosen people, but that changed when the majority of the chosen people began to sin against the instructions of the Word that made them rich and they suffered a curse with the majority of them being scattered abroad, as according to use history you know as the trans-atlantic slave trade, these i believe are the natural branches according to the following passage (Romans 11:19 19You will say then, “Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.” 20Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. 21For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either. 22Therefore consider the goodness and severity of the Most High: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. 23And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for if the Most High is able to graft them in again. 24For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, who are natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree? 25For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: “The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away unrighteousness from Jacob; 27For this is My covenant with them, When I take away their sins.”) you see by earthly knowledge you gain earthly riches, ..you know?,.. when you learn a trade or skill, more also if you lean a language, you can agree without learning any language you wouldn't be where you are now, ..this is a contemporary factor with any person that is born in this life and so it is with heavenly knowledge you gain heavenly riches only by the true Word of life that is never to be confused with other apostate and pagan religions that could only make you further bound and spiritually poor that is why Apostle Paul says the following Galatians 1:8 6I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of messiah, to a different gospel, 7which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the message of messiah. 8But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other message to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other message to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. 10For do I now persuade men, or the Most High? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of messiah 11But I make known to you, brethren, that the message which was preached by me is not according to man. 12For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of messiah.) so i decided to say all this in answer to your question, that the words of the Almighty spoken through his Holy Prophets not only applies to everyone born in this life but also makes those rich who reads and obediently follow what leads to the true righteousness,

  • @tipsunknow

    @tipsunknow

    7 ай бұрын

    Using Teflon tape or plumber's tape the right way is essential for creating effective seals in plumbing projects. Typically, Teflon tape should be wound clockwise (when looking at the end of the pipe or fitting) to ensure a proper seal. If it was applied in the wrong direction, it might not create the desired seal and could result in leaks. It's always a good idea to double-check and follow best practices when using materials like Teflon tape in plumbing projects to ensure a successful and leak-free result.

    Awesome sharing... On the coke bottle project, what is the min water level for it to work?

  • @tipsunknow

    @tipsunknow

    7 ай бұрын

    The minimum water level for a DIY water bottle tank project to work effectively will depend on the design and dimensions of the specific setup. In general, the water level should be sufficient to create the necessary pressure and flow for the toilet to flush properly. This typically means that the water level should be high enough to reach the fill line in the toilet tank (as indicated by the manufacturer). To ensure proper flushing and performance, it's important to follow the manufacturer's guidelines and recommendations for your specific toilet model. The water level may also vary based on local plumbing regulations, so it's a good idea to check with your local authorities to ensure compliance.

    @@tipsunknow No I've never considered it, that is why I was impressed. But they would not be cost effective for me nor would they go with my home. I figure they are only cost effective for commercial application or if you were going to collect drinking water from roof rain runoff. Plus, if one is going to collect roof runoff then a metal roof needs to be paired, like you did, with the stainless gutters. Asphalt shingles would be self defeating in that application. And where I live insurance companys do NOT like metal roofs due to hail damage claims when metal roofs get dimples from hail. They give lower rates for asphalt hurricane shingles.

    Я тоже не врубился. Предположил, что за счёт столба воды, будет дополнительное всасывание в системе и НА КОРОТКОЕ время поток воды будет увеличен. Но эффект д.б. не особо значительным. Гипотетически в этом случае ещё можно додумать конструкцию для сельских вариантов, где воду накачивают из колодцев в накапливаемые ёмкости. Тогда будет создаваться столб давления и можно использовать стиралку автомат, где давление необходимо в 2 атмосферы (если не ошибаюсь). Но чтобы создать такое давление, нужен либо нагнетатель, включающийся с открытием клапана, либо ёмкость типа водонапорной башни метров под 30-40.

You dip the brush in the soapy water, bring it in contact with the dirty surface, apply light pressure and move the brush in a linear or circular fashion until the dirt comes off.If that doesn't do it, try some other cleaning agents like benzene, methylated spirits, chlorine cleaner or good old-fashioned scrubbing powder. If all else fails, there's always sandpaper, or a new washing machine.

    okay so the first idea... I guess people are in a hurry to wash their hands in the rain and can't go in the house? How often is this happening? Second idea... leaves are still falling in the gutter and clogging it. You will have water going out of the pipes as well as over the sides when the leaves fill the gutters and make them basically nonexistent. The only way to prevent this, with no maintenance, is using a screen over the gutters that allows leaves and stuff to slide off. If something gets stuck, you can just push it with a stick or broom instead of climbing a ladder

  • @tipsunknow

    It seems like you're discussing the practicality and effectiveness of the ideas presented in the video. Let's break it down: Washing hands in the rain: This idea might be useful for situations where someone needs to quickly rinse their hands while working outside and doesn't want to track dirt or grime inside the house. It could be particularly handy for outdoor chores like gardening, car maintenance, or construction work. However, as you mentioned, it's not a common scenario for everyone, and it may not be the most efficient solution for everyone's needs. Gutter leaf protection: While installing screens or guards over gutters can indeed help prevent clogs from leaves and debris, some people might prefer alternative methods that don't require climbing ladders or performing regular maintenance. The method demonstrated in the video might appeal to those looking for a low-cost, do-it-yourself solution, but it may not be the most effective option in the long term, especially in areas with heavy leaf fall. Ultimately, the effectiveness of these ideas depends on individual preferences, specific needs, and the environment in which they're implemented. There's no one-size-fits-all solution, so it's essential to consider various factors before deciding on the best approach.
