That teacher got fired for multiple child molestations and, multiple sexual assaults against children. This was my 6th grade science teacher. Most of who had him as our teacher really enjoyed his class. He was one of the few teachers who "seemingly" clearly cared about the well being of each and every on of us. We were all bind sided when our principal came into class and explained what had happened. they found a substitute who ended up being with us for the rest of the school year. This was well over a decade ago. I'm 90% he is still in a maximum security federal prison. (I hope he is still in prison), I don't know when he gets if at all. I don't think he got a life sentence ,but I could be wrong. Unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it I don't remember his name.

One of the elementry schools I went to had a very cool principal but a jealous teacher levelled csa accusations against him and got him fired before any possible investigation could occur turns out he was innocent but the board of education refused to compensate him for the damages to his reputation because the jealous teacher was being boned by a board member, all of the parents forced that particular board to be fired by going public and forced the local government to investigate the board and teacher involved, the former board members can never be involved in anything important and the teacher can never teach in the country again and had all her teaching qualifications permanently revoked. She claimed to have done it to protect the students but the students knew she did it out of spite and her class refused to be taught by her so they split themselves between the 2 other classes so the other teachers simply taught 45 students instead of 30, so once again she acted out of spite and began trying to fail not just her class but the other 2 classes by using that board member she was getting boned by which was when the parents got involved in the entire kerflufferle. I heard a couple of parents actually hired the former principle to act as their kids tutor and a few, who were lawyers, helped him in his lawsuit against the board of education free of charge.

Not a teacher but my bus driver In 8th grade. His name was Mr Mike and he was awesome. I had ridden on his bus since the beginning of the year 6th grade. Along with being a bus driver he also played piano in a jazz band (I'm not sure if it is a jazz band but I think it is). Anyway he would let all the students off at their houses instead of making them walk home and would sing and play music on the bus. Near the end of 8th grade he told everyone he was retiring and while we where all happy for him, I wished he would stay until the end of year but that wasn't the case. Turns out he was fired because he would let students off at their house and not at the stop sign and apparently that's illegal. We all found out when the majority of the 9th graders in the back started chanting "We want Mr Mike!" (I wasn't because 1. I don't have the courage to do anything that might get me in huge trouble, and 2 I sat at the front of the bus with my brother who was in 6th) and the lady driving said "I wish he was still driving as well, but he got fired for letting kids off at their houses." The whole bus got quiet and we just kinda sat there in shock.

I had a bus driver who I believe ended up getting fired, I don't quite remember I just heard people gossipping about it. But he ended up passing out due to a medical problem when driving to school, we luckily crashed into the giant bush that was by a bridge where a train would go over. It was a minute or two before he woke up, confused and tried backing up. He couldn't since the bus was stuck. Police had luckily came quickly, and there was a bystander who was helping anyone who needed it get off the bus. Still had to go to school which was honestly bs since the experience was terrifying and the last thing I wanted was have to go to school and act like everything was fine

So these are teachers my brother had, and I've heard them second-hand. Every year in high school a teacher would get fired: 9th Grade: My bro's science teacher was just plain incompetent, so much so that she was quaking in her boots when the principal and all four vice principals came in for an observation. She resigned at the end of the year. 10th Grade: Male teacher was being a creep to girls in the class and showing favoritism to some of them. Bro was in a group/conspiracy to get him fired, but other students reported him he got the sack anyway. 11th Grade: The teacher who ran the National Honor Society was never very popular as she treated the male students worse than the female students. This came to a head when it was discovered she was giving perks to the girls in the Society but not any of the guys, despite the guys having higher grades than some of the girls. This did not sit well with some of the girls, they reported her and she got fired for sexism. 12th Grade: A math teacher in school was notorious for playing favorites, not being a competent teacher, and chewing gum in class even though that was forbidden. Everyone hated him but he never got fired. When some kids reported his terrible and unfair grading practices to the front office, they said that while they heard and understood where they were coming from, they couldn't do anything unless they had things in writing. Come around Christmas, this teacher hands out feedback forms. One girl was smart enough to keep her form with negative feedback on there since she knew the teacher would destroy any forms that painted him in a bad light. Instead of giving it to the teacher, she went straight to the front office and gave it to them. They must have been looking for an excuse to get rid of him, since he was gone before Christmas!

So in the 11th grade, did none of the boys bother reporting the bitch? At least the girls were nice enough to realise it was unfair. I have a feeling she might still be sexist if she's working in any other school.

Story 26; I have a similar one to this. The High School I graduated from had a science teacher which I actually had for a few weeks (my schedule was not right at the time). He was one of those cool teachers that everyone even his co-workers liked. His mistake? Give out his number to everyone incase we needed help with school work and saying No. Even the other teachers knew this and aparently it was something he had always done, student apreaciated it as he did help them. One Female student got mad at him (if I remember correctly) because he didn't wanted to date her. She flat out said infront of the class (lucky me I was there for that part) that she would make him regret it. We where all in shock and some classmates had her leave the class. Next thing that happened? She accused him of coming on to her. Her evidence? She had his number. That was it. No one was on her side. Everyone even other teachers where worried not for student, but for the science teacher. He was told to resign (I think thats what is called when teachers leave on their own) as even the principal knew this couldn't be real but the whole thing had gotten attention from parents (the F#&king Beachs parents) so he couldn't stay. I don't remember if he got fired, or resigned. School was in a depressed mood for some time after he left. As for the Beach? Well some students took justice into their own hands. She didn't come back either because she was beaten up by a group of students outside school property. So school couldn't do crap because it wasn't on their property, and authorities (if they got involved) couldn't do anything either cause there was no proof of who did it nor where it happened. Now only the Vigilantes, and provably their friends know who it was. Other than that even if anyone else knew we all had a silent agreement that we wouldn't say anything. Teacher knew the beach got beaten up as word spread because she was absent but not even then did they showed concern for her. Not only was that horrible but she could of have done it to anyone else along the way. Story 28; In middle school the special ed kids where pushed and shubed by their care takers in school. Not even the school A$$ H013s would bother this kids. I hope that those kids are doing ok.

When I was 10,I had a teacher who had a flaring temper and would generally just punish students with slaps on the face. She had training in some sort of fighting sports so any hits from her would genuinely hurt a lot. This one time she got so mad she flung the nearest thing to her i.e a metal scale at a student 3 rows behind. Thankfully it missed any dangerous parts such as his eyes, but created this horrible wound near his chin/upper neck... She also intimidatingly threatened no one to tell anyone of this incident and told the kid to say he got hurt while playing Out of fear all of us obliged(even the victim)... However this one guy in our class(he did have some sort of mental disorder ) went home and told his parents, which kick-started a revolution by the parents When the teacher found out the next day, she used all her fighting knowledge to literally beat the living crap out of him for telling on her. We were all 10yr olds and were scared out of our wits by her, so no one came to his rescue. Didn't take long for the investigation to lead to her promptly getting fired, though it was a little hush to save the reputation of the school

She was bullied by the kids a lot and planed to quit after winter break but quit earlier because of one incident. a kid who’s name I don’t know was pressing the teacher for some bs reason and ended up punching her in the stomach. He then proceeded to say and I quote “your lucky your not pregnant because if you were I would have killed it but here’s the kicker: SHE WAS PREGNANT. I think the baby’s alright though but I’m not sure. She reported the student. But for some reason I’m unaware of the principal or who ever she reported him to didn’t do anything about. Which caused her to quit. We were promised a new teacher but she must of caught wind of what happened because she turned it down. We were stuck with a teacher we will call mr M for the rest of the year. I have a few for this prompt; all are stories I heard second hand. First, my 8th Grade Algebra teacher. Ironically, he was one of the best teachers I had the privilege of having. I have some learning challenges, and he was always understanding and did whatever I needed to make the class easier for me. Now, in another class of his was a kid who was an absolute terror. Our class was already infamous for being incredibly difficult, but he was one of the worst. So, on one particular day, during the period this kid had with the algebra teacher (different from mine), the guy was in rare form, and our teacher snapped and threw a mug at him. I was later informed by a teacher who was friendly with my mom that the mug in question had scissors in it. Next was a teacher at my high school who I didn't actually have - honestly, I don't even remember what he taught - but everyone who did absolutely adored him. I did actually know the guy on a first name basis, despite having no classes with him, and I didn't have anything bad to say about him. I do remember a time that I was preparing to audition for my state's all state choir, which was kinda common knowledge around the school, and he wished me luck, whispering "Kick some a$%". (very uncommon for all other teachers at the school I attended) Now, this guy got fired when, while standing outside chaperoning the kids getting on the bus, he chose that moment to urinate in a cup. I remember lots of the kids protesting this decision and trying to get the school to rehire them, saying it "wasn't that bad". I had nothing against the guy, but I do think some disciplinary action was definitely warranted for a stunt of that nature. Last, but most certainly not least, my school system's Superintendent. I don't know if he was fired or resigned, but the story went that he, uninvited, entered the home of a student trying to re-enroll in our high school and began searching her belongings. I'm pretty sure he was actually acquitted of the charges, but it was a BIG deal the year that it happened. Again, only this is only based on stuff I heard through word of mouth, so I can't verify the truth of this from personal experience. But there ya go!

I have two of these, tangentially related, and oddly both for the same subject. Both times French was mandatory in my school years, I got bad teachers: First, in fourth grade this French teacher learned I was Arachnophobic...so she began bringing a big tarantula preserved in glass or resin or whatever to school, blocking my way out of class at the end, and refusing to let me leave until I looked at it and amused her with my reaction. After a week or so of showing up to my next class freaked out, I confessed to that period's teacher, and she disappeared for two weeks (I later learned she was suspended without pay). She came back, refused to make any sort of eye contact with me, and I have no idea how good I really WAS at French because my grades were a minimal pass, like she wanted to make sure I'd be out of her life. She wasn't there the following year, and I have no idea if she was let go or left of her own volition. Either way, good riddance. Second, seventh grade french. Brand new teacher. He was too damn fast. Here's the Verb and the 6-8 conjugations. The second he'd shown us the last one he was erasing the board to do the next one. We couldn't take notes fast enough, and even the advanced students were doing no better than low 60's. They not only had to let this guy go but assure all our parents our french grades would not be held against us academically. In essence the school just pretended that particular semester class had never taken place.

Teacher went totally insane. Didn’t get fired but did get committed to a mental hospital. It was both horrifying and fascinating to watch his decline. We noticed he was a bit off but nothing terrible the first year. Second year his behavior got odder and after summer break he returned for the third year and was definitely strange. He would walk a few steps, back up a few steps, walk forward again, repeat until he made it to his desk. We used to bet on how many times he would enter and back out of the class until he got to his seat. Then he got rid of the desk and brought in a pulpit and would just stand there and read the bible out loud to us. He even had the pulpit carried to the gym where he stood and read his Bible out loud as we played volleyball then the pulpit was carried back to class. He disappeared one day along with his pulpit. He was in the hospital for years.

There was a teacher who I never had in the 9th grade, and he got fired for rumors of him molesting a boy in his class. Turns out he got arrested and it was on the news, and he was also a very liked teacher anong us students. This was in 2019, and to be honest, I'm kinda glad i never got to meet him. I would've hated being creeped on by a teacher.

This was long ago, but an elderly elementary teacher was caught with her top off (and maybe bra, too) in the presence of several of her students, like 6 & 7 year old children. It was a horrible scandal in our small town, her whole family had to move out of town.

In middle school there was a substitute teacher who was awesome and loved by the entire student body (which is very rare). One kid ended up ratting him out because he allowed a few kids to curse in class (they'd only say words like 'hell' or 'damn'). He was promptly fired and the entire school went on a witch hunt for the snitch.

Wasn't a teacher but a security guard at my high school. This was I want to say maybe two-ish years after I graduated. I was talking with one of my younger cousins who is 2 years younger than me. We grew up in the same town so we went to the same high school. I was asking her how she was liking the Junior/Senior campus(our high school had two separate campuses and if you were to ask anyone who goes to the high school almost everyone will tell you the junior/senior campus is better). She said she was enjoying it and that it was better than the Freshman/Softmore campus. I asked her if she knew if this one security guard still worked there. He was the coolest one out of all of them, real sweet and chill guy. Actually looked like he enjoyed his job. My cousin went on to tell me that, unfortunately, he was caught smoking weed with a student behind the bleachers in the gym and was promptly fired. It's a shame, dude was super chill and always gave the best high fives when I saw him.

😮😮When I was in school, married teachers were put on a leave absence when they started “showing”. It was to protect our little innocent childhoods from the facts of life. Times have really changed. (Pregnant students were sent to reform school). I have no idea what happened to unmarried teachers who got a scarlet letter.

No more than a few months ago, my friend was r worded by one of the teachers. He is definitely on the really cute side, but I never expected someone to go this far. The worst part was that it was one of those a situations where when he went to authorities about it, they just said, “but doesn’t it feel good” and laughed at him. (Might I mention that the teacher was a woman). She was also trying to persuade many guys in the class, including myself. Luckily, the guys in the class don’t have rocks for brains and know that they shouldn’t do that. The cherry on top was that the only punishment she got was she had to move schools to protect her reputation. It’s one of those bad endings in real life. My friend is not doing well. He is extremely depressed and has to go to therapy. Luckily, he found a girlfriend that loves him and cares for him, and is starting to do better, but he still has extreme trust issues. Poor guy is paranoid of his own girlfriend at times. It pains me to see this happen, because unfortunately it happens way too often. I hope you can recover from this, John.

There was this one teacher I had who was unfair to me. When we had a test and I failed (cuz I was sick in bed) I point it out it was unfair then she said "life is never fair" so one day when I decided to go ahead in class (I was done with my work) and my teacher told me to stop and wait for everyone and it wasn't fair for me to go ahead and leave everyone behind, I then said "life is never fair" then on I always used that against her on almost everything. She had tried to call my parents and failed because she was also hated by many parents at the school so she tried to set up meets and that never worked either so she gave up and before she left she gave a "sad" speech about how she wasn't treated right. I was hated but most and a hero so some

Does a school nurse count as a teacher? Because I have a story for this subject! I had been going to residential school since my parents wanted me to focus more on my studies as well as making friends. I have a lot of health issues so I had to visit the nurses office quite a bit. I loved all the nurses except for one of them. A male nurse who became my nightmare for the next 2 years. He was specifically the nurse that took me and other students to appointments that needed to be done off campus such as blood draws or X-rays. The problems I had with him are the following. 1.He always smelled heavily of cigarettes when he came to pick me up, and I am very sensitive to the smell of smoke. 2. Sometimes he would actually smoke in the car while I was there which made me at the risk of getting secondhand smoking. 3. He had a Nintendo Switch with him at every appointment. Normally that's ok, I typically brought a device and a book with me to entertain myself while waiting in the clinic/hospital lobby. But he didn't use it while we were inside the clinic/hospital, he used it while he was driving, with me in the car too! We're lucky we never crashed or rear ended anyone! I never liked him, I always felt this aura of unsafe laziness whenever I was anywhere near him. Unfortunately I was never allowed to take pictures or record anything while we were out so when I tried to tell the teachers and staff these horrible things he was doing, they sort of assumed I was overreacting (which I have done in the past). My feelings are never wrong though and the truth prevailed at the end of my second year at that school. He got caught by some of the other nurses taking pills from some of the ADHD kids medicine sticks (you know those long cube shaped things you put pills into and they have the days of the week on them?) He wasn't just fired from the school he actually went to court and from what I last heard he's doing jail time for it. I'm just happy no one else has to put up with him anymore (no one from the school at least).

Only had one teacher I knew of (I was never a student of his) get fired, and he was innocent. A friend of one of his former students left her jacket in his classroom. She then started spreading rumors that he would regularly and discreetly meet up with her outside of class time to “do some extra credit work”. It didn’t matter how many of his students (which was a lot) defended him and called the girl out for lying to get attention, he got fired the following year.

My freshman year science teacher was my sister's freshman year science teacher as well, 7 years apart. She had him for his first year, I had him for his last. Her class bullied the fuck out of this man. He was awkward, monotone, and slow-moving. Her class made him have several breakdowns, from what she told me. While he was my teacher, all he did was sleep in class. He'd give us an assignment and just conk out after a while. We didn't think much of it, being freshmen who also just wanted to sleep all class, but eventually we came in and found a substitute waiting for us. Lovely woman, a classically trained singer and very knowledgeable in the area she was subbing in. She believed in me when few other teachers had. Anyway, she stays for longer than we expect her to. We were told that our normal teacher was sick, and that he'd be out for a bit (I think, at least. We thought he would come back at some point) but after a month we all realized he'd either been fired or quit. Rumors started circulating that he was on drugs, and no one got corrected. We all stopped talking about him come the next school year because he got replaced by a young teacher that (almost) everyone agreed was hot. I feel bad for his replacement lmao

I have 2 for this one. The first was a bagpipe teacher in Scotland, he taught me. I always thought he was a bit weird because he would always tell inappropriate jokes to me and was pretty strict. I reconned it was just because he was ex-army. Turns out he was diddling the young girls for years until one of them came forward. He went to prison but I think he got out recently. Second was a chemistry teacher, she was a decent teacher but a bit strict and easy to anger. I hadn’t had her for years because I didn’t take chemistry, apparently a class of 2nd years pissed her off so much she threw a chair at one of them, they caught it on camera as well. She retired pretty quick after that.

Not a teacher who got fired but quit. Mr. Brown was a very nice teacher, always connected with the students, played games with us, let us have free time at the end of class, and made us all laugh. He taught Geometry, Algebra II, and College Algebra. Teachers at my school took turns on who were watching the detention people for the week, and this time it was his turn. For his punishment, he makes students write every single definition from the dictionary, which was honestly not a bad punishment (100 pushups is way worse imo). Anyway, this one guy who was being punished was on the football team, and the assistant principal believed he was an important player, so he decided to exempt his detention just so he could play ball that night. This really peed my Geometry teacher off, so much that he put his 2 weeks in. It was so sad the day he left. The lady that replaces him wasn't bad but wasn't good either.

I get the sense a good chunk of these stories were made up for Reddit karma. It's actually quite difficult to fire a teacher in a lot of school districts due to tenure and collective bargaining agreements. You can easily fire them if they commit a crime or something like that but it's not easy to fire them over some random outburst or something like letting a kid eat in class or something.

He would out the students who had poor grades to the class and publicly shame the students he felt disrespected him. He sent me an email once threatening to have me expelled because I corrected him on a mistake he kept making. A teacher in my school played favorites like crazy. She would barely teach and just went on hour long excruciatingly boring lectures, she was truly mean. One of our disabled students uses crutches sometimes and needs a bag to bring all their books up and down the stairs, she told them that no bags were allowed what so ever in the classroom. Bags are allowed in all the other classrooms but since she was a “science” teacher she said we weren’t allowed any bags, jackets or anything in case of a chemical fire. We weren’t allowed to put them in the corner either. Here’s the kicker. We never ever used any chemicals, we never even had any scientific experiments. The closes thing we had to that was looking at some plant cells through a microscope. She failed some of the smartest students who were definitely excelling and were way better in the class than others who passed because they were her favorites. I passed with a C only because she liked that I talked about books with her. We hated her and we were always walking on eggshells during her class, we were sometimes legit scared of upsetting her because she could and would fail us just like that. People who had always had an A in that class suddenly got an F because she didn’t like them. Those of us who she liked and used as examples on how the class should be “paying attention” were really just doodling in our books or sneakily doing something else and pretending to listen to her. Some people fell asleep during her class because she just kept lecturing in this monotone voice, 90% of that lecture wasn’t even useful to us. Apparently she got fired when she did her thing and wrongly and extremely harshly graded a paper of a student who was close to the principal or went to another teacher to get it double checked or smthn. A small investigation was quietly launched and she was told to resign, at least that’s what the rumors say but we never saw her again and the school had to postpone science classes for a year or so to look for another teacher.

one teacher at one of my schools got fired. I didn't know the situation that well (he never taught me personally, I don't even know what he looked like) but I heard about it from my sister who was taught by him. there was a student at another school that had gotten held back a few times, because of this, despite still being a student, she was actually around the same age as him. he was dating her (I think they'd gone to the same school and started dating before he graduated). she moved schools so that she was now at the one he was teaching at (I heard it was to spend more time with him). the teacher immediately got fired for the fact that the 21 year old he'd been dating was now suddenly one of his students in a class otherwise filled with 17-18 year olds, he hadn't even known that she'd been changing schools, let alone swapping to the one he taught at. apparently he would have broken up with her if he knew (because he understood the trouble that could get him into) but since it was a surprise he didn't get the chance before being fired.

It caused a huge scandal when he was discovered in the parking lot having oral sex with a student in the back of his car. The ROTC instructors forbade all of us from talking about him, using his cadences after PT, or trying to figure out who he was hooking up with. (Everyone already knew who it was.) Edit: He was banned from the school, and was dishonorably discharged from the military for improper conduct. I’ve seen that version of Romeo and Juliet twice in school. Both times, the teachers fast forwarded through that scene to avoid any controversy.

That was the wedding night scene. Didn't that scene have some vital and important lines? I would've paused the movie at the start of that scene, warned them about the nudity and told whoever was sensitive to close their eyes and listen to the dialogue. Another option I would've considered was sending a letter to the parents with a permission slip.

It was actually a teachers aide and I wasn't in his school but i worked at the youth center he ran. One day we're getting ready to open and hes on his laptop supposedly checking emails of people if they canceled. Later got an email from the building owner (Also a teacher), saying he is no longer with the company and they are finding a new person. Instead they hired his ex-wife who told the real story. His personal reasons were, sexual misconduct, taking pictures, and porn. The business went under with in a year.

dont think i ever had a teacher get fired but in 7th grade we had a teacher who was brand new for math. first year teaching. my class was pretty rowdy, it was the last period of the day and me and a few other kids in this class were known for being disruptive (i was undiagnosed Adhd, assuming similar for the other kids. we weren’t trying to be mean.) at the end of the year, i’m actually fairly certain it was the last day. he told us that he was not returning to teaching and that we broke him and he hated this job now. talked to friends in other classes… all he mentioned was going back to school, not hating the job and saying it was their fault. i still feel guilty. sorry Mr Starliper

I have a story to tell; it was at a UK primary school. I'm special needs and didn't like standing in front of the class. I had a substitute teacher that at some point, asked me to answer a question in front of the class. I didn't want to... so she grabbed my arm and dragged me to the front of the class. That's the only moment I remember, but my mother says that she left bruises. My mother is the "mother bear" sort, so once she saw those bruises, the faculty had to deal with the world's angriest teddy bear. Never saw that sub again.

I have 2 stories: 1. There was this teacher named Ms. Williams who was a math teacher and there were rumors going around that in the 2022-23 school year, she punched a kid in the face. 2. Same teacher again, someone stole her car keys and then she started crying and had a temper tantrum and a meltdown about her car keys being missing so she had to get new ones and some kids kept getting accused. After the meltdown, she left the school cuz she was retiring that year. This was this year btw. She left the school and retired early and I never saw her again and whenever kids were misbehaving she would yell at them and cussed at one of the kids. She got fired and was working there since 2002ish. She retired after she got fired cuz she had a meltdown and we never found out who stole her car keys. She left the school for the rest of the year and only went to 3rd period classes. I switched because she was so mean and I’m glad I switched. Anyways this is a lot so enjoy the story. She was nice and mean and I liked her and hated her at the same time cuz she was annoying. She was a 6th and 7th grade math teacher. Enjoy reading this lmao. Btw the rumor about her punching the kid in the face was false and denied allegations by her. She was actually fired for being mean and if that rumor was true, she would’ve never been a teacher again.

Our form/register teacher got let go because although my class were irritatingly noisy and loud and often didn't listen to him, he had no temper control and would often punish and yell at everyone for 2 people acting up. The last straw (for me, well known to be the student who ALWAYS got on with the teachers) was the time he told us we had after-school detention because 3 girls wouldn't stop talking. As in the entire 20-something group. That very day. There was a rule in our school that after school detentions needed 24 hours notice and he had not given that, and eventually only two people showed up (me being one) and I had to leave after 10 minutes because I had a younger brother I HAD to walk home. Worth noting that said had not shown up by this time and my one classmate who did stay told us it took him 20 minutes to even get there. The next day the assistant headteacher came into our form and chewed us out, until we all protested that we hadn't had the 24 hour notice and then it got dropped. I was personally called on during this and was told they were 'disappointed in me' as I was usually the good kid. I basically said "I have a little brother who I'm responsible for getting home and my mother (solo parent) was in work. What was I supposed to do? I can't let him walk home alone, I'm not allowed." Didn't get in trouble. Then we had the Business & Communications teacher who just stopped showing up one day. We never saw him again and the rumour was that he'd been caught stealing money and was on the run. Not sure that was true but it was very confusing and I don't think we ever found out what happened to him...

The only teacher that got fired during my schooling was my 10th grade speech teacher, who proceeded to call 2 of his female students the derogatory term for a female dog. One that got fired after my schooling: a teacher I had my senior year for college prep U.S. History 200 (he was also the JV boys basketball coach) was fired in 2008 for Mike sing female students, especially those who wore short skirts and tight shorts. Another was more that I think he was suffering from sort of dementia/Alzheimer’s, cause after my sophomore year, he was replaced.

Not a teacher, but the principal. My senior year of high school, we did our senior prank, which was honestly one of the lamest pranks ever, and it was approved by the principal. The prank was to put zipties on basically everything, essentially locking students into their classrooms. Our principal took it a step further and helped a student barricade a classroom, with only one way in or out, with a vending machine. The classroom was full of special needs students and they started freaking out. While this happened, another student who was trying to get out of their classroom, full-on body-slammed into the door and the door got busted. On top of all of this, we did this on the day that the fire marshal was doing a routine inspection of the school. The school board was livid and our principal was nearly fired. The reason she didn't was because the school year was almost over anyway, so they allowed her to finish the last couple of months of the school year before our district cut ties with her. She ended up getting a job at another school in a different school district. And because of this stupid prank, our high school is permanently banned from senior pranks. Kind of a crappy prank to go out on: one that wasn't even funny and ended up in property damage and a potential fire hazard.

When my mother was in school in the 80's, she had a sub one day. My mother who was 11 at the time said that she had been playing with a ruler and had it resting against her chin. The sub walked up to my mother, grabbed the ruler and shoved it down her throat, then pulled it out. That night happened to be parent meetings, and one of the other students in my mum's class told my grandmother what had happened that day. My grandmother took all of her 4'9 self into that classroom and raised holy hell on that sub. They said that at the end of her screaming fit the woman was crying in a corner. That sub was fired that night and never worked in teaching again, as far as we know. This was northern England in the mid 80's, things were very different then. Different story, when I was in high school me and my friend realised we'd had the same horrible sub in two different primary schools. This sub was a woman who looked exactly like the mother from Matilda, and she was pure evil. I didn't witness this because we were at different primary schools, but according to my friend, who has cerebral palsy, this sub grabbed her by the shoulders and shook her back and forth shouting "stop shaking you R******!" In the middle of the class. That sub was never punished for that incident because apparently the special ed kids in that school were ignored by everyone.

We had two kids getting into a fight in the classroom in 7th or 8th grade. The teacher broke it up, and one of the students yelled at him, and took a swing at his face. Teacher lunged at him, lifted him up, and slammed him into the ground, getting the student sent to the hospital with a shoulder injury. Never saw the teacher again.

Back when I was in the Navy (over 30 years ago), they had a strict no fraternization policy between instructors and students. We had one instructor that was an E-6 (I never had him as an instructor because taught classes later in the course) who got busted for violating this policy. one student accused him of making a pass at him (this was before "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", when they would ask you if you were gay and you couldn't join the military if you were, or you would be kicked out if it was discovered later that you were gay). They only had the accusation and no other proof of this occurring, but there was enough proof of him fraternizing with students that he got busted down to E-5 and no longer worked in that school. Before this happened, he was up to be promoted to E-7, so getting busted to E-5 set him back at least 6 years in his career - You have to wait 3 years once you are an E-5 to be eligible to be promoted to E-6, then 3 years as an E-6 before you are eligible to be promoted to E-7 (promotions are not automatic - There are other criteria than just how long you are at your current pay grade, like a test you need to take, and for E-7, a review board to recommend you be promoted).

Oh, I can tell you personally what happens if the students find their teacher's social media! We had a semester long sub in my literature class one year in high school, and a group of boys found his facebook profile, which showed him at a bar having fun. They never let him forget it, and disrupted class constantly with comments about it. He had absolutely no control whatsoever over the class for the rest of the time we were there. Hope he learned to keep his social media private from then on out.

I went to a catholic school where all the teachers were related to each other family wise, and therefore, they could do anything whatsoever without ever facing consequences. One of them was my geography teacher, who really loved to abuse this situation. She wouldn’t hesitate to insult, or even physically attack, any student she wanted to. She also happened to spent most of classes talking about her personal life or telling us “how cruel the world was to her” and how “we didn’t appreciate her”. One day she slapped in the face the wrong kid, one whose parents were extremely influential. Despite her threatening the boy to not say anything, he did tell his parents. Not even being the director’s daughter saved her from having to be fired. And trust me, you had to do TERRIBLE to be fired from my school as a teacher.

Another science teacher faked his qualifications and was taken from the school by the cops. Then the music teacher got done for taking pictures up girls skirts during class. I haven’t seen any teachers fired, but there were a few teachers that I wish had faced some kind of karma for their unprofessional attitudes. The first one I remember was “Mr Hoey”, who seemed to just assume that I was lazy (I was halfway to 8 years old at the time & no one knew that I had autism), as he would practically scream at me in front of everyone whenever I just sat there … but that was only because I didn’t understand what was in front of me & the teacher would never explain anything, just yell at me for trying to ask. I thought it would be better when I moved to a new school, but “Miss Brown” was pretty much a female version of Mr Hoey. One day, different tables were given an assignment to work on together, but I was being deliberately excluded. Not being allowed to do anything, my “autistic honesty” was triggered & I said “I’m bored” (again, I was a couple months shy of 8, just an innocent kid). That’s when Miss Brown got mean. She grabbed me by the wrist, pulled me into the corridor & began screaming at me for “being cheeky with her & purposely disrupting her class”, getting even nastier & cutting me off with every attempt I made to explain myself. As terrified 7YO me silently choked back tears, she went into the classroom, came out & grabbed my wrist again. Dragging me into the next classroom, she forced me to an empty desk in front of another teacher, who asked her “What’s up?” & she replied “I’ll tell you later”, before giving me a disgusted look. I was given maths problems to work on & she just left me there. I’ll always remember her as the teacher who punished me for being excluded/bullied. I had a few other teachers like that, but there’s one more teacher from my past I didn’t like … & it was for creepy reasons. I’ll call him “Mr F”, as using his full name still makes my skin crawl. I was in high school & my LDs were on record. At first, I thought he was just trying to be extra nice … but then I noticed how creepy he was being. He’d often wink at me in the corridors & when the other girls laughed & teased me by saying that he must fancy me (which he definitely overheard), he would grin widely & say “See you in class soon”. He was definitely no younger than his 50’s, so not exactly appropriate. At one point during winter (when all girls were expected to wear tights with their school shoes), I had ingrown nails & had permission to wear socks & trainers. Unfortunately, he caught me in a quiet corridor one of those days & stopped me. He let his eyes scan downwards & slowly upwards, getting an eyeful of my legs & he was grinning as he asked me where my tights were (plus he already knew I had a letter from my doctor, as all my teachers were told about it). It made me feel physically ill & I quickly explained before excusing myself & running towards the girls toilets. I had a bit of a panic attack & vomited, so I took myself off to the nurse & they called my mum to take me home … though I didn’t say anything about what happened. I was thankfully removed from school permanently not too long after, due to a combination of illness/depression & some bullying. Unfortunately, I had one more encounter with Mr F, when I was grocery shopping with my mum. I had grabbed a packet of “personal sanitary supplies” & then heard a familiar voice behind me saying “Hello, 88AspieGirl88! Long time, no see!”. When I turned around, there he was, checking me out with that smug look, not even trying to hide the fact that he was staring at my chest. Then he saw what I was holding & that awful grin appeared. “Is that what I think it is?” He went to step towards me & I immediately bolted, dropping the sanitary stuff & searching for my mum. I told her I really wasn’t well & asked if we could just go. Thankfully my mum knew not to question me & decided to get me out of there, to avoid another panic attack. I didn’t tell her the truth until much later. She wanted to tear him limb from limb, but obviously that wasn’t possible (& since he didn’t physically put hands on me, we couldn’t have him reported for anything). I just hope he didn’t carry it further with someone even more vulnerable, creepy-a$$ pervo. 😥

Our history teacher showed us a "documentary" of african people filmed by Leni Riefenstahl (the woman who made propaganda filmes for Hitler!). This movie portraited the african people as savages where "the strongest is the leader bla bla". And as you can guess: most of the people in this film were naked. Little naked girls were "dancing" on the screen. It was painfull to look at it. But my teacher definitly tought us the lesson. Now we all have a clear picture of who Riefenstahl was and what things she has done. And I think we all were so digusted that we will never become racists. Another time he showed us a 90s documentary about the civil war in congo where choped off body parts and rottening corpses were ling everywere... it showed us very clearly how gloryless wars are. Those rough movies have tought me so much and showed me what damage people are able to do. I like this kind of teaching. Luckily, nobody ever snitched on my teacher. Great man!

Well, sadly I have a story about a creep teach getting fired. But this story actually has a more satisfying ending. So last school year in like November or around that time, one of the guidance counselors at my towns high school was caught chatting with girl as young as 14. He was arrested and fired from the school. I'm not quite sure what happened to him but I was an eighth grader when this all went down, with that and other questionable sh*t that went down last year, lets just say me and others in my grade were less than thrilled to go to the high school.
