If you remove all the “errors” & “contradictions” from the Gospels, you will have a Swiss cheese Gospel that STILL testifies to Jesus’ deity, death and resurrection (Gary Habermas)… end of story…

I think earlier manuscripts missed John 8 because it was seen as too scandalous. Also the surrpunding texts were often used in liturgical reading together, so the text in question was cut out of some manuscript to be used for that. And later, people realised it was a mistake to proliferate these additions, and put it back in.

This is Good! I think the details behind this passage makes it true. I find it hard to believe that many Preachers and Teachers wont preach or teach from this passage due to its history! I believe the passage to be true and possibly left out for certain motives other than it being "fake". I think its consistent with the Scriptures. I think it shows an attribute and behavior of Jesus that does not sway away from the Him or His teachings. And I honestly think that this should be further studied and the notion of this not being reliable, held losely all the while teaching from the pasage till further evidence is revealed.

Yes, God has preserved His Pure Word through the millennia, ensuring the *accurate* and *reliable* manuscripts were available for use by the early English Bible translators-- laying the foundation for God's Word to be translated into countless other languages. Despite modern so-called "scholars" prizing Codex Vaticanus and Sinaiticus for their supposed "age", these dubious manuscripts which *omit* significant Scripture portions should *NOT* be trusted as representative of the "originals". They exhibit significantly low-quality transcription, heavily-corrected text, and disagree with each other 3036 times. Sinaiticus also included clearly uninspired, apocryphal books, and was discovered in what was basically a trash bin, waiting to be burned along with other old documents. Christians can be confident their Bible doesn't contain any spurious content, despite modern-day lies propagated by satan.🙂

Moreover, are you implying that someone who bases their faith in Christ off of sound evidentiary standards is somehow less faithful than one who just simply believes without evidence? I'm just trying to make sense of your post, thanks and have a blessed day brother!

@@jayharry2237 I’m not implying any of those things. But at some point, we are going to have to believe things about God whether we have evidence or not. When we were younger, all we had about Santa Claus was a word, and we believed. Jesus says we should become like a child in this aspect. We must believe God whether we see it or not. I pray and heal the sick. There are times when I see nothing. Does that mean God’s Word has changed on healing? Some people say so when they pray for somebody and that person doesn’t get healed.

I still have concerns about how the passage in John 8 is explained here & how it is stated that it doesn't affect the reliability of the Bible. I feel that it DOES! If, for some reason, this was ADDED, then someone tampered with the text! If it (and additional things) was added, then other things could, as easily been removed. That is exactly the point that Mormonism makes, as I know Brother Wallace is aware of. What he states to be the case with John 8 actually bolsters the Mormon claim. To me, this would make the Bible LESS reliable, not more. I state this as a former Mormon myself, who is now a born again Christian. This issue discussed here is one that goes much deeper than what can be covered in the brief video. But it is something that, if not taught & dealt with properly, can & does keep people from coming to Christ. I'm curious why the many variants that are claimed don't concern him more. Also, I wonder how his Mormon relatives address the issue with him, if at all.

Revelation 22: 18For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. ••These verses, along with many others show us that God knew that there would be at least a possibility of certain things happening to watch out for.

This is what happens when “scholars” try to treat the Bible like an ordinary book or even solely a history book. The Bible is a Spiritual book. John 6:63 applied in every book of the OT as well as the NT. 2 Timothy 3:16. The words are God-breathed and the books that are compiled are inspired as well.

Reading a traditional text translation Bible is the right thing to do. Modern translations translate from non traditional source and it matters. They make Jesus into a liar inJohn chapter 7, take away Jesus’ Deity in verses such as 1st Timothy 3:16 and John 3:16, remove verses such as Matthew 18:11, change scripture in many places such as Rev. chapter 5. Make false promises such as God will make your path straight instead of direct your path. Satan’s wanted to change scripture enough to undermine it before the translators even began work by changing the source text. Only 1 in 10 Bible translation companies even admit what source text they use. Those that compiled source text for translators were involved in communicating with the dead/spirits and one of the sons even wrote a book mentioning it. Literally sitting all night in a dark and empty church and communicating with spirits that filled the pews. Furthermore the supposed oldest and best codex that they used to change the Bible is neither the oldest nor the best. Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus are not good and never should have been allowed as justification to change scripture

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV Bible [1] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; [2] By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. [3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; [4] And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV Bible [8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. Romans 10:9-13 KJV Bible [9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. [11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. [12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. [13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. John 3:16 KJV Bible For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 14:6 KJV Bible Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

When i see someone in a church wearing a mask , one has to wonder what kind of mindset does this person have , believing in lies and truth , being able to distinguish between the two, thinking like the world or rather by Biblical objective truth. Now of course we cant say this or ask this question , bec like the world , we dont question anything , bec ur now unkind , unloving . Just like the world name calling bec we cant handle the truth that is making our conscious guilty , and that makes the world mad. So the response to this question even been allowed to be asked will determine the truth already. Can u ask it , does the question have merit and does it expose a mindset , is important to ask? This means the mask does work and will protect me , what else in my life is then a lie , what esle in my beliefs and I blinded too, then one should then ask this question , bec it is asked out of empathy
