@@alexhu5491 sort of, the tang (as I said) was founded by a part Turk, and the Zhou came from less sedentary peoples and the idea of “Han Chinese” didn’t form yet. Even with the fact that the Tang and Zhou (along with other dynasties) were non-Han, they all heavily influenced our people and culture. We wouldn’t be speaking primarily mandarin if the Mongols and later Manchus never conquered China.
