Well, we wouldn't necessarily say that Rockstar North was lazy. We believe that the main reason was three protagonists instead of one. They had to come up with a storyline linking all of them, but at the same time, they couldn't expand all threads of a certain main character extensively because otherwise, the other two guys wouldn't have enough "play time" 🙂

Before strech killed D he told him that he did time with his homies and then D tells him "this isn't about you you know they fucked up" referring to lamar and Franklin as of matter of fact I think some OG in prison most likely told stretch to join them in the top ranks cause the families are no more so for him to join he had to kill Franklin and D and lamar was leverage to get Franklin to drop his guard

Not really a red flag. The Ballas and the Families were at peace during that time. Besides Stretch is an OG, the Ballas wouldn’t risk killing him during a negotiation because it’ll lead to a war, and Stretch killed D in self defence.

Correction about South Rancho Ballas: 1. They dont have turf on grove street you only saw them there because any balla set spawns on any balla territory the gta wiki tells you their in lore territory not where they spawn. 2. There is a mission in GTA Online that involves Ballas on Jamestown St in Rancho with Ballas posted up near the Rancho Projects and Lamar explicitly states that that's Ballas Turf so that is most likely where SRB resides. Trust me I had to do my own research for my video I'm working on

Hello there Epic Gamer! 😃 We've heard that we made some mistakes so let's take a look at them. The first one is connected to South Rancho Ballas. Now, we believe there might be a bit of a misunderstanding. If you check the part where we talk about SRB, we have said the location where we found the Balla member wearing a "Rancho" t-shirt. As for the turf, we did mention beforehand that South Rancho Ballas was named by the gaming community due to this "Rancho" guy and some reports of seeing the Ballas spawning in South Rancho. We hope that now it's more clear that we didn't say that SRB has turf on Grove Street. It wouldn't be even possible considering that we were talking about Original Covenant Ballas controlling Grove Street, so... As for the second thing that you stated, as far as the lore of the game is concerned, we are not taking multiplayer modes into account. The same thing happened during the discussion of GSF from GTA 5 in another video. And yes, you will most likely say that people are adding GTA Online to the canon. Well, we are not, and that's why we exclude GTA Online from the "headcanon". By the way, we have decided to watch your video, and we gotta say it's pretty good! We are guessing that the second part will be devoted to the analysis of Ballas from GTA 5? We hope to see it soon, mate! The only thing that we were struggling with in terms of your analysis was the courier side mission. When we do understand that you might consider side missions canon, it's your choice. And it actually fits perfectly in our point of view on GTA Online not being canon - it's our choice. While many people wouldn't take side missions (or gameplay features in general) into account talking about the storyline and disagree with you, many people wouldn't think that GTA Online is not canon and disagree with us. Also for clarification the reason why I commented about the mission with Ballas on Rancho is because of the fact that it was a Rockstar Created mission from Lamar to the Protagonist. @@gaminginvestigators rancho would be considered florence firestone in LA which is ran by F13 however there is 1 black gang called 59ecc at first these two hoods were coo and got along they ended up beefing at that time it was like 10 F13 to 1 ECC so F13 took advantage of that also their was a demographic switch so it became like 90 percent mexican long story short rancho is like 90-95 percent mexican and south rancho ballas would be considered a "defunct" hood

9:50 very minor mistake In game the Sawmill isn’t actually abandoned. Activity such as workers, logging trucks leaving the mill, and parked cars can still be seen at the mill before and after the mission in freemode

Your theory about Stretch being ordered to kill D is interesting. Still however I don’t think it’s the case and apparently neither does Franklin. I think Stretch killed D in order to protect himself and play both sides. The reason why Stretch tried to have Lamar and Franklin killed is in my opinion because the Ballas asked him to so they’ll take the fall. Your theories about the gangs are interesting, and I agree with the possibility that they wanted to lay low, along with them possibly being weakened by fighting each other and with GTA 5’s Los Santos being diversified criminally. I think it’s possible that the Vagos are more powerful than the Ballas by 2013, because they have control over their set, along with them being directly backed by the Madrazo Cartel. The Madrazo Cartel is Los Santos’ most powerful criminal organisation, rivalled possibly by the Cheng family who are wealthy and have powerful connections.

(we even tried to determine those reasons in our video about GSF in GTA 5) And just like you said, the Ballas were supposed to kill Lamar Davis, but Stretch had to make it possible, he was kinda obliged to do this. But Stretch didn't just kill D, he also (along with Lamar and Franklin) actively participated in the shootout with the other Ballas members that immediately followed D's death. If Stretch was really selling them out to The Ballas since he was in prison, then after killing D, why didn't he also kill Lamar and Franklin instead of helping them in the slaughter of other Ballas members? It seems pretty clear that Stretch hadn't been expecting the ambush, and wasn't working with The Ballas at that point. It's most likely that he didn't begin properly betraying Lamar and Franklin until after 'The Long Stretch.' Lamar's idiocy that had put them in that ambush is probably what had motivated Stretch to sell him out, and can you really blame him? Lamar while obviously meaning we'll to Stretch and Franklin is clearly a complete moron.

You have raised a very interesting issue, Family Gash! So you wanna know why Stretch didn't try to kill Lamar Davis and Franklin Clinton? Well, we think that he was simply afraid of them. Even though during the cutscenes every character seems just as much vulnerable, Stretch was a real coward. Do you think that the Ballas would leave him alone after killing one of their OGs and some soldiers if he wasn't a traitor? Killing 'D' wasn't only done because Ballas let him do it, but also to prove to Lamar and Franklin that he still sticks with Families. He "made peace" with Ballas while everyone else would be dead already. You mentioned that Stretch seemed to be shocked by the ambush, but we all know that he could have been acting on a purpose. At least that's our point of view 😉 Cheers!

I always wanted to know how Ballas managed to occupy Grove Street, as I recall after the end of GTA San Andreas Tenpenny has died and its calm in Los Santos again, but canonically all hostile Los Santos gangs such as Vagos and Ballas are still present in the city. BUt I heard thar Ballas are still in Grove Street because CJ is still has not returned to Los Santos during GTA San Andreas plot and Sweet is still in prison.

This is interesting I wish it was more factor in the actual game where this is really just all background information and a lot of it seems to come out of nowhere. It'd be one thing if Franklin was just a mission giver but since he's a main character and the whole conflict with him is him wanting to get out of the gang life it'd be nice if they gave a bit more context as to why stretch is obviously betraying them and also makes the ballers look a lot smarter

Stretch had no choice homie, it was either (trying to) offering Lamar or offer many many CGF members and go in war with the Ballas.

Coo gta online dlc idea drug wars pt 2 also includes balls moving over to rancho and that would be a sort of map change to make the game feel a bit more fresh

maybe stretch betrayed the families because he snitched and probably said that Lamar has a lot of goods and framed him for the death of D instead, he framed Lamar since he was an easy target and maybe the reason they took him hostage is to take the goods from Franklin and ofcourse they know that both of them survived on the first plan so they put them somewhere the cops cant go at the same time where they can do whatever they want, since the cops wont be alerted. The other gangs might have weakened because Ballas took the goods trade to a higher level, bribing cops and making a brotherhood which in turn make them rich and powerful thus no need for gang wars.

@5:30 In the mission where you kidnap that rival gang member he mentions how gang symbols can lead to incarceration.. Very many probably have being arrested or killed over the years reducing it mostly to the poverty striken regions and no longer as much in the rest of the city.. It isn't the 90's anymore and just like in real life back in 2014 and still today most have moved passed banners and flags to avoid RICO charges.

By not explaining how Grove Street gang died off, Rockstar has messed up their own gang lore

I think it's very possible that the LSPD are decreasing gang activity. Bc when Trevor talksto Lamar and says something like "so do i need to wear green now" or something similiar Lamar replies saying that families ain't really wearing too much green anymore bc that would reveal they are gang members and that the police would not take that too kindly and would arrest them. And when we kidnap D. D says "hey ain't there some law against you mask wearing fools." with Lamar saying "oh yeah you gonna snitch on us or something". So showing any sign of being a gang member is now against the law and could get you arrested. That could be why they have so little territory.

Stretch was a family gang member but he was a OG he sabotaged Franklin and Lamar because he was locked up with the ballers so he made peace with them secondly stretch set up Lamar because they wouldn't respect him as an OG they didn't look up to him as a OG like as in Grove Street that's why I Grove Street fell apart they old geez became ballers the families is a strong gang in reality. The baller is just a strong game too. The families is not going to disappear but the sex might evolve and turn into other newer sets. Besides Franklin and Lamar got their own set which is formun drive families. He could have did majority of his research by going to the actors on The game so you can play as different characters there is a set called South rancho ballas East side ballers original Corvette baller those are the set. Move the family's got Carson avenue chamberlin Hill Davis former drive families. So in comparison there are more family sets than ballers

When the ballas and familys were in the graveyard i saw ryder

actually , from Stretch in the prison , he already betray the families and side with Ballas . the only reason he meet Lamar because he was a spy from Ballas which he come to infiltrate anyone and try to make Lamar and Franklin stab each other . that idiots actually set up those best friend in Ballas with hope they killed immediately , because Stretch Killed D to make franklin and Lamar believe he still an Families OG , his first plan is ruined so he need to make a second one , then Drug Setup , same as before , Stretch hope Franklin and Lamar die when deal gone wrong , but thanks to Trevor who joined those two best friend , Stretch plan ruined again . then he make Lamar get betrayed by Ballas when doing a weed deal and it turned out a big success on Stretch , because Stretch and manipulate Lamar to believe Franklin is Disloyal to him . somehow , his planned is success but once again , he had to eat the pill because franklin and his two mentor rescue Lamar from Snake Stretch . this make him realize that no matter Lamar get set up by him , he always get the bad luck here. so he believe he was an OG Ballas because no one can stop him now. his demise soon show up when Michael send Ballas a huge message about his crime and action by killing Stretch.

everyone should ask rockstar to make a trilogy of gta 1 2 and chinatown wars with good graphics and if not good then we are also happy the original gta 3 like graphics but i want to play these games in 3d until i w8 for gta6 plz like if u agree and convey this message to the rockstar team. paste this comment on there community tabs if you want these three games to be modified

They're based off the bloods and crips so most gangs been around since the 60's but new sets pop up and old set go extinct from war & prison each generation I would apply the same logic to families and ballas

Well, we would probably say that they are important to Franklin and it does matter. Even though the Ballas from GTA 5 are not present in the storyline as much as Ballas from GTA San Andreas, we can't say that they are irrelevant. It's probably due to having three protagonists instead of one. 🙂

So stretch didn't sell out the gang. He's got a problems with lamar and Franklin's set within the gang and their actions since they dont pay a tax and constantly cause troubles (he's not wrong tbh) he wanted peace with the ballas and more control over the families witch made him bump head with Franklin. The ballas wanted revenge on lamar and he wanted Franklin gone since he's wasn't giving him respect.

balla's are a complete joke i mean..they sure rich as hell but they quite dumb to get themselfs as death sentence. atleast always stick to angels of death (tho i picked the name from gta 4 thought it look cooler in gta online my friend tittled in it tho from gta 4) just hope rockstar games didn't banned users for using the legend gangs name from it.
