Cause back in the day in Hollywood actors had to be good looking and have real acting skill to be in Hollywood movies. Diversity quota wasn’t a thing. Shakruk is an actor who capitalized on mass majority of Indians with average taste. All he had to do is just overact and 90% Indians are mesmerized by the overacting cause they dont know any better. Sharuk is smart he kept delivering to the same clown fanbase and it kept him rich and famous . He’s a master businessman and average actor so he doesn’t need Hollywood cause if he enter Hollywood the contrast between his acting and a real Hollywood actor would make Sharuk look really bad . But the fact is the type of audience that we have in India and the type of acting required in Indian movies especially the Masala Mass movies require a very different type of acting around which most of his career has revolved. Surely he did some great acting in movies like Chakde, Devdas and even Swades and My name is Khan but still most of his highly successful movies are less about good story or very compelling acting performance but rather his 'Charm' and style. And it is not just about him but most of the big name actors in Indian film industry (Hindi + South). Whereas in hollywood or British films, the acting required to make a mark is very different. You wont be able to succeed over there by 'Spreading your arms', or 'Over the top' style of acting but more grounded and realistic potrayal of character, which I think very few actors in Indian film industry can do, not because they are 'Bad actors' but because that was not the type of audience and hence their acting evolved in a very different way. Less realistic, less compelling and more glamour oriented. I personally like SRK because I have watched his movies since childhood and mostly in theatres when the came out, and surely he is better as an actor than Salman or Amir. Now, Amir is not bad actor but his movies are better in terms of story writing as compared to SRK, which makes the success of SRK films depend more on his ability to draw audience into theatres through his charm and style. But yeah, I still believe they wouldn't have been as big stars as they are today had they been competing in Hollywood. Even today, if SRK stars in a hollywood movie, he can easily be outclassed in terms of acting by other actor in the same movie even with less star power. And remember, Indian audience until very recently have never focussed much on how an actor portrays a tough role on screen. They want somebody to entertain, and if somebody with even poor acting skills (Varun Dhawan) or Ananya Pandey can make them entertain, they become stars.

SRK should be more honest, natural in real life n interviews rather trying to talk very good and charming making people to like him this is done by young people. Grow up Shahrukh.

He is a audience pleaser who seeks impact of his films on his particular audience. He is not a craft pursuer or someone who goes in to deliver the best for the role he is offered. He is a man who wants his characters to be make audience happy and make money through it. The actors like Christian Bale, Joaquin Phoenix, Manoj Bajpaye or Jaydeep Ahlawat would seem on the opposite end of tge spectrum where give priority to the character instead of audience. These guys prefer to go all out in playing a character, the audience appleasement is not their concern. They try to show how a character feels instead of inciting any particular emotion to audience. The part of inciting emotion in audience is usually done by the directors, recording, production, and editing teams. With that being said, srk has done Don series and Darr. So he is capable of going off his standard way but he doesnt anymore.

In India/Bollywood (atleast) nobody/No established actor does an audition for a particular role in a character based film. directors simply approach to their preferable actor with scripts and hope they accept it for their own certain reasons. Hollywood wont cast big actors like SRK/Salman, cuz the role might not be a lead role which the big "Stars" always tends to play here.

Hollywood wont gave you a good narative to other country, mostly the character will be given all had damaging moral in it depict the opposite of the religious or the culture in it. Is not SRK, but in my country some of the hollywood came to ask of our actress, and she also like SRK , rejected the offered because of the role she in.If the actor is already big enough to represent a country ... they need to really take precaution on 1st impression for the world . They no need to lowered themself when he already successed on his acting and his already had that portfolio . He no need to start on the starter line in Hollywood.

SRK can act when given a good script and a decent director. He has done so in Swades, Chak De India, My Name is Khan, Darr, Baazigar. It's not his fault that audience in India for the last decade only prefers to see masala movies. He did Zero, Fan and despite acting well in both of those movies, they failed because the story wasn't Masala enough. He did illogical action film like Jawan and Pathaan and literally broke all time box office records for Hindi movie industry. At the end of the day it's a business and his movies needs to make money to be considered as successful. So why wouldn't he do films that people want?
