@@JoinUsInVR That's a great answer. I've finally gotten into the habit of doing just that, but I often wonder if I'm lukewarm -- enjoying comforts and avoiding sparing time to charities or evangelising, etc.

Peter was trusting in and relying on human opinions. Even though he meant to be helpful - his imperfect opinions were against the lord's plans. Notice also that, just a couple verses earlier, our Lord also said Peter was blessed because he didn't rely on earthly resources but he relied on his faith in the lord and the miraculous perfect revelation that followed. Our lord also then said that his chu. rch would be founded upon perfect revelation. Notice also, that that foundation was in the individual man Peter. That perfect revelation is meant to live within each of us individually.

Peter was speaking for himself, and not for Satan. Satan just means 'adversary' and that is what Peter was being to Jesus, because his words were adverse or opposing to what Jesus had just said. What came out of Peter's mouth was not from anything else but his own heart. For Jesus says 'For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness' (Mk 7:21,22). Nobody needs a supernatural evil being to introduce anything into them because our sinful nature is already geared up for that purpose.

Why do some pastors say that Satan didn’t know that Jesus came to suffer? They preach that Satan and his demons wanted Jesus to die. But by Jesus rebuking Peter, it contradicts that teaching.

Very good explanation! But i do not agree with the fact, that Satan wanted Jesus not to go on the cross. I think he did not know the Plan of God for salvation. After reading Unseen Realm by Michael Heiser it makes to much sense

You are not a Christian yet unfortunately if you wish to become one of us you will not find it in the church. The church has destroyed many gospels and entries of the bible historically. But the books came in many so they survived yet were banned completely. Lucifer and Jesus christ are the same entity child. The god you know and worship is evil and chaotic he flooded the earth and destroyed many species of animal in order to scare a singular man while jesus is the opposite and spreads healings and love. Lucifer offered Eve the opportunity to become like god by eating from the tree of knowledge while jesus did the same. Both Lucifer and Jesus are known as the morningstar and connections to them being the same person and god being evil can be seen in the bible and the gospels. Jesus was never talking about the bible god when he spoke he even said to Jonah that they were worshipping a false god and said that the disciples did not know him. Jesus was talking about the divine mind which is the true god and of which our spirits originate from. So you wanted to know more about jesus? Jesus wanted to overthrow the biblical god of course and this whole time the true god he was talking about was just ourselves or rather the source of ourselves. The biblical (evil) god looks like a man because he made our bodies in the image of himself trapping pieces of the divine mind in these bodies. The evil biblical god wanted to enslave humanity and make them worship him so he manipulated many disciples in the past. There was more groups of Christians that had the truth than there were those who thought otherwise. These true Christians were forgotten while the fakes that we see today thrived and spread hate and chaos making wars happen because of religion and spreading hate to Homosexuality and many groups of people that "god again god." Humans are known for manipulation and now our current Christians have no idea what they are doing and their evil origin. If you really want to be a Christian, do not follow the church for the churchmen are not Christians. TRUE Christians are not to worship any entities for we are all parts of the true god. True Christian goals are to show compassion, spread love, and seek happiness. Thank you if you read all of this and i hope you do your research to see what i say is completely true.

If anyone new to Christ is reading this, pay no attention to napbuddy. Maybe it goes without saying... but there are a lot of false teachers out there. There are people who will twist the words of Scripture and try to lead you astray. Jesus called them "wolves in sheep's clothing." I don't think Jesus would have intentionally chosen Peter as the "rock of the church" if he meant for that position to become twisted and warped into what it is today. Everything Jesus does is good... Its humans who take the good things God gave us and use them selfishly for evil.

Jesus is indeed Lucifer the Morning Star, which is why Isaiah 14:12 lists Lucifer as the Morning Star and then Jesus calls himself the Morning Star in Rev 22:16. The reason Christians fail to see the obvious is because they are brainwashed by their churches into reading the Bible BACKWARDS and reading the New Testament BEFORE the Old Testament. We read books from FRONT TO BACK for a reason, and that is because you can't possibly understand the end of a book that you don't understand the beginning of. And it is not even possible to fully understand a book from reading the LAST QUARTER of it. With that being said...----> Adam and Eve were NOT first, and the 2 stories of Creation in Genesis are NOT about the same Creation as the Christian church teaches. GOD makes people on the 6th day of Creation in Genesis 1:26. Then in Genesis chapter 2 God rests, God sanctifies the 7th day, and then the LORD God of Israel creates Adam and Eve on the 7th day of Creation. To work on the 7th day that God has blessed and sanctified is BLASPHEMY, which is what makes the LORD God SATAN the LORD of this world. That also makes clear that Adam and Eve were NOT FIRST, they were made second. Doesn't the 6th day of Creation come BEFORE the 7th day of Creation?----> The family lineage that begins with Adam and ends with Jesus is the family lineage made by SATAN the LORD God, not God.
