WHY did I buy a 2023 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Widebody Jailbreak?
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
There are many cars that I get an opportunity to get behind the wheel of, and I am very grateful for that. This Challenger Hellcat Last Call Edition was a car I could not resist. Under the hood is a 6.2L supercharged V8 that churns out 717HP & is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. WHY did I buy a 2023 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Widebody Jailbreak?

My dad bought a red charger hellcat widebody 2-3 months ago. He grew up in rural Michigan and always dreamed of owning a car like that. Snagged it just as they were running out. It's crazy to think he almost never got to own one given how hard he works. It's weirdly sentimental every time we take it for a spin, and that thing is a riot and a half!

I agree the super charger sound in the car is the best out of all the cars you’ve driven over the years!
Joe Raiti and fellow KZreadr Woman.Driven are probably the only individuals to purchase a Camaro ZL11LE, Mustang GT350, and Challenger Hellcat SRT; and what is interesting is all three of his cars are equipped with manual transmissions. This is the last of the American V-8s, and J.R. had the opportunity to purchase all three muscle cars from Chevrolet, Ford, and Dodge before they are gone forever. J.R., you are the man, congrats!!!👍
It is very refreshing to hear your passion and unbiased opinion which keeps the hobby alive. Many others are biased to a specific make or model believing their vehicle is the best and never truly understand what brings car aficionados together. You hit many good points.

Been rocking with you since your first year Raiti, we love your dedication and passion for cars keep going and elevating my boy you the sickest in the game 💯
Could not agree more on your comments regarding the passion of driving and the soul- the car moves you in more than one way. It doesn’t just transport you. The interaction that you mentioned is where it’s at- nothing against the Toyota Camry haha - they all have their place. Congrats. This is super exciting. The nostalgia you mentioned with your dad is quite a testament to your motivation for this particular Challenger. I wish you continued success & happiness Joe. Glad to be a part of it for 5 years here.
You made a wise choice! Perfect Muscle Car! I am enjoying my 2022 Wide Body Challenger Scat Pack with the Shaker Top and I’m loving it! Enjoy it and have many happy smiles and miles on your new ride!

That’s cool that you have all 3 now. Car looks good! I watched all your gt350 videos last year when I was searching for one. I have one now and love it.
A very special moment for the family guys!!! I am so happy for you my brother
Congratulations Joe !!! Lower it, strut bars, cradle lock out and go have some fun !! Your spot on about how everyone dresses their car up and all the colors, never boring !!!
I totally understand your reasons for getting that car. For me personally I always wanted that muscle car experience and I chose a 2022 Ford Mustang Mach 1 non handling package. I just wanted that feeling of being behind the wheel of a muscle car and just cruise. I did not want to track my car, I just wanted something special that has a great sound and plenty of power. I came from having some Toyota sports cars, Subaru sports cars, and taking all of those cars to the next level of performance by upgrading them. Now I just want to cruise with my local Mustang car club and have fun. I say whatever vehicle you choose to own in the muscle car selection, just have fun and drive. Great review Joe!!! I love all of your vehicle selections!
Congrats! Owned a 15’ hellcat challenger with a 6spd, fantastic fun, just picked up a TRX, always a gm guy but man what a motor the 6.2l is, intoxicating
Congratulations Raiti! God bless!
Congratulations Joe!!! I just picked up a Destroyer Gray, 2023 R/T Scat Pack with the Dynamics Package and of course with a manual. Wouldn't have it any other way....and I just love it. It is so much fun to drive. I have a smile on my face every time my butt hits the seat! Not a big fan of tech and this has just enough for this old coot....The last time I had a Chrysler product was a 1970 Plymouth Duster, 225 slant six with a 3 speed on the floor, in Tor Red, which they still have as a color option today. I also have a 2015 Chevy SS with a manual, in Alchemy Purple. They only made 61 in that color and only 14 or 16 with the stick.
Hey Joe! You're absolutely the best in the business! You know how I know that? Because you're the only one on KZread that I watch a ton of car reviews for cars I don't even want! To The Door Panel!! PS... I had to have one too, so I finally bought a Destroyer Grey Scat Pack manual w Dynamic Package! Getting wrapped, ceramic, and tinted as we speak. PSS... I also bought the Barton short throw. Keep doing what you're doing brother! Thanks - Tony
Joe!!! I found this channel a month ago when I decided to switch my 17' Challenger sxt plus... I have literally digested hours of your reviews and finally pulled the trigger on a 24 Mustang GT Prem. (PP1, night pony, active valve, 401a). Thanks for all the information that you put out there, it just really helped me decide and even appreciate more the heritage and beauty of these machines. Hopefully I will see you in the FL streets one day and you can test drive the pony!!!
Thanks Joe for another great video! I know it’s a physical object and I try to maintain a healthy perspective on possessions, but boy do I LOVE my Skat Pack Challenger! I literally micro-fiber the ceramic coated exterior daily. 😅❤️
LOVE this colour. Big respect, you're more into the "working man's" sports car and I totally agree. ferarris are for people that want the car as an accessory. not for people who are those who really love driving and love cars.
Haven't been here in a minute. GG ON THE PURCHASE. LOOKING FORWARD to the video.
I would have called it “eggplant” 😂 . You have a nice collection of vehicles Joe………hope you have a big garage 😁
Thank you Raiti. I love the Dodge Challenger. I don't have one, but I felt your thrill and excitement! It makes me so sad the Challenger is going away. Congrats on owning a car that will make the automotive history books.
Hey Joe, I’ve been a long time subscriber. I talked to you about my 2018 Camaro ZL1 and now I have my 2020 hellcat redeye widebody anyways it has 23,000 miles on it and I finally changed the tires off the Perelli zeros and I took your advice that you had said before in another video about getting some Michelin pilot sport 4 s’s I got them a couple weeks ago a little over $500 apiece which I’ve never spent that much money on tires before but I just wanted to say my God what a difference those tires are for my car. They are incredible. The traction is amazing. I’m not an expert on tires, that’s why I took your advice They are totally worth it. Michelin tires are incredible. Thanks.
I appreciate it for doing what you do and I enjoy every minute of it. Thank you for being a car guy because I love cars but not just any kind. I feel your passion and I'm honored to be watching all your videos. I feel the same way about you about what kind of car I drive. I would rather have picked the same thing if I had the money of course. I love muscle cars, especially the classic kinds. Thank you once again for your time and effort into your videos.

Congratulations! I am sure you are enjoying it every time you steps in the business side.
Hey Joe, I loved this segment: "...move your soul" - I totally agree. My first car was a HX 1976 Kingswood (General Motors Holden) V8 4.2 Litre (253 cubic inch) in Mandarin Red with loud exhaust and wide wheels (12 slotters) - it sounded more like a 427 or 454 cubic inch and people thought this as they would hear me from 2 blocks away or so (I was 18 years old !.). Oh and your thinking - what the hell am I talking about - I am from Australia !. That car moved my soul especially with windows down and the noise of the V8 with "Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins" playing. It "move[d] my soul" !
Congrats on this amazing car. You have an amazing collection and you deserve all of them for the hardwork you put.
Congrats on the plum crazy 6 speed cat! I like your spec. I was fortunate to have gotten a 2019 Redeye challenger with the houndstooth interior as well. 309 gears and red seat belts were my only other options.
We seem to have a lot in common Joe, as I just purchased a '23 Hellcat widebody and ZL LE I bought new in '21, both with manuals! 😁( main reason I pulled the trigger) ,though my other 2 cars are old school hot rods and so far no GT350 but who know what's next.😃 Keep up the great work, love watching your videos. 👍🏼

I’m so glad that you decided to go for the Challenger. As you, I’m a very big fan of the Dodge Challenger, and I have watched every Challenger video. This year I’ll buy my very first car, and it’s gonna be a Dodge Challenger RT, of course with manual transmission, I know that there are faster challengers, but don’t have the money to get one of those ones, and, I want it to be with a manual transmission. Thank you so much for showing us all these cars experiences
Your videos are the best! Mopar or no car. We have Durango and Charger with hemis, one scat pack. That is my favorite color. Love that sound. 🔥
Mad Jelly and I LOVE the color. When I got my 2016 Charger SRT 392 I was trying to decide between Plum Crazy and B5 Blue only to find out both colors had been discontinued that model year only weeks before I ordered. I got Jazz Blue Pearl. A local dealer had a demo in Plum Crazy but it had the sepia interior and I thought it clashed, so I did a factory order.
Love this video man. So true. It’s about moving the soul.
I love this colour on the widebody, perfect choice. And thank you for taking off the yellow stickers on the front spoiler :)

I have the manual transmission in my TRD off-road Tacoma & love it & in my 1995 Acura Integra GSR! I've owned that Integra for OVER 17 years & it still starts up in the 1st crank & when I ran it in the 1/4 mile it ran a 14.30@98-99mph... I tried so hard to break into the 13's & over 💯 mph but 🤷

I got my Challenger 3 years ago. It is a 2015 but had less than 8k miles on it when I got her. But just like you Joe, it checked my boxes, it is a B5Blue, only a 5.7 Hemi but I don't care because it has the Shaker package and it is a manual 6-speed. Looking out the windshield and seeing that shaker while rolling through the gears, there is nothing better for me while driving.
Sounds awesome man! Congrats!
