Yeah Elden Ring just aint it for me. There's a lot of shortcomings

Me and my 12 year old son are Souls fans to the bone and we love PvP. We tried Lords of The fallen toghether and enjoyed it a couple of days, but now we are back to DS2 again - the game of our dreams!

True goals. Playing DS2 with your son. Lords of the fallen kept me for a bit but the multiplayer just doesn't compare... it's too lagyy.

I only played pvp for a bit because im trying to get dragon form but its so fun fighting on the lava bridge in iron keep is so cool

Ds2 dragon form is the best in the series. I can only imagine what it could've been in Elden Ring, too bad it doesn't have one. The armor on it and the weapons look beautiful

DS2 is my favourite soul's game, PvP is the best and also the PVE (especially the DLCs), not like DS1(super quick backstab and it can backstab twice if you seize the timing), not like DS3, backstab is so sick that even you in front of the opponent, they can still backstab you, I'm tired of people only looking the chance to backstab. I really want DARK SOULS II: 2

Ds2 PvP felt the most interesting

This is funny to me because the common reason most people give for ds2 being the best is all of the tech that it has. I remember when I was learning the pvp a few years ago all of the fucking tech there was, shit like quick attack and quick roll which were always used at high level. Elden Ring pvp is in a great place now post 1.10 imo, give it another try if you haven't yet lol. Although invasions are still garbage and will continue to be until they change the player limit to 6 and let us get coinvaders.

Yeah, I guess my wording was a bit off. After all, I play games that are based on exploits. What I was trying to say is I found the other games' exploits to just be kinda dumb. I have not really played Elden Ring lately, as I've been focusing on the melee genre and I kinda gave up on it, but I'll give it a go

50 points. Honestly I never really had a problem with Soul Memory. The only time I ever had a problem with it is when I tried to summon my friend who had around 1 mil soul memory while I had 10 mil, which I honestly find to be a good thing because there isn't an extremly overleveled phantom in every invasion

I hate(d) soul memory with passion, and even though agape ring is not the best solution to it.. staying low level and just screwing around with builds that cant do everything and are not yet overpowered is where the fun begins Made a ruin sentinel character with obviously ruin armor with mirrah shield and archdrake mace, only thing I got going for me is poise damage, but can't really rely on a buckler for parrying, not using sword/rapier for r1 spam, have to carefully select my rings (especially if I use ring of the living) my defense is not the best and my equip load is 69.5% with juuuust 100 agl to give me an okay backstep and dodge window.. long story short, havent had this much fun with a character, I can constantly invade as red or blue, help out way of blue people, people regularly summon me and its just a whole lot of fun, and since I also stick to that build, I can give away better stuff to people whom with I had a great time One time a host realized that Im not hostile even as a red, and we made an impromptu fight club on the ship in no mans wharf.. defeated every guy he summoned, they also went along, and only the host could beat me (even though we used warmth for full health beforehand and he didnt heal with gems or estus) Really rare to see that on high level pvp, either people are scared and disconnect, run away and end up being killed, tryhard sweatlords who jusf want the kill and ignore everyghing else.. had fun, got bored, now 500k sm is where the good stuff is, not to mention how many more players can be found in that range

​@@Freelancer.Warzone soul memory can balance things out a bit. The only problem I've had with sm is me trying to join my friend who had 9 million less souls than me, which I find to be a good thing. The way it makes you properly allocate your stats is nice

DS2's PVP is better exactly because phantoms don't have estus - other games have too much healing which makes the invasions extremely dragged out and boring. In DS2, fights are much faster and more dynamic thanks to that. Besides, DS2 PvP is the only one that actually requires a lot of thinking and strategizing as every move actually has its noticeable price and can't be spammed efficiently.
