I also don't have any IMG dps, but to be honest with Silver Wolf it doesn't matter. Blade + Seele + Yanqing cover all content comfortably for now. I even have E6 Serval I could build for further elemental coverage, but so far there hasn't been much point. My MoC is 27/30, but last floor needs better relics rather than better elements

Something to mention is that while he does need sp efficient supports, there are 2 4*s that are very sp efficient and greatly enhance his damage. Tingyun gives him attack and energy, Pela has an aoe def shred.

I have SW Blade and now IL: Ironically it took 20 pulls each after I built pity on the last banner to like 30-40 pity to get the 4* I liked/wanted. Took me 156 pulls to get SW and then I get two Damage Dealers in 101 pulls.

i have silver wolf but i dont advise using her with him i prefer pela cuz of her AoE defense shred 40ish% if u leveled her ult @@ItsVab

I won the 50/50 after spending my guarantee on Kafka. Having Kafka, Dan Heng and Seele, I feel like I'm already pretty good on DPS, so time to save for Silver Wolf's Rerun and maybe get Seele's Light Cone.

I don't think we can really talk about best dmg dealers overall, only best dd for one element, because the gameplay in sr is very different from genshin, since in the latter, you only meet some enemies with certain resistances, while in sr, the best option is usually a dps with the correct dmg type for each enemy.

i feel like this gives quantum a slight advantage since you get access to mono quantum with silver wolf (once fu xuan comes out) which means 100% chance for quantum weakness on enemies

every future dps in the game will be the best dps until a new dps is release . That's why ill just summon for Daniel and if i get him ill save every single summons for dupes of SW, Loucha, Kafka and him (priority is e6 Loucha cause he is every single type of character in one). The only exception for this is when mihoyo decided to make a 5star March 7th. If Dan Heng have one, why not for March 7th? 😢😢

I secretly hope that March 7th’s alternate form is an OP Harmony so I can put her and DHIL in the same team.

As a f2p trying to keep with new units is the easiest trap to fall into. From now on I'm just gonna save special banner pulls and use them on Light Cones instead to strenghten the units I already have.

I pulled for him because he is the reason I finally caved and played this game. 😂 I didn’t have a Imaginary DPS, so I knew he would be my full invested DPS. He has a 3 star LC on and just seeing how powerful he is makes me grateful I started this game-he’s so much fun.

Just got him after 6 pulls. This is my first limited banner in the game since I’ve been playing star rail for about 5 days

Got him on 14th pity, so i am happy

I have been waiting since Luocha's banner to get Dan Heng, as he is my favourite character, and I'm so happy I did it. I am a bit sad I couldn't get Blade but DH is so fun and strong, despite me having crap artefacts and not enough ressources for him yet. Plus I got really really lucky and got his LC ( got him and his LC in 50 pulls with only him being guaranteed wtf). I'm gonna give my all to make him my best build ever !

I was going to pull for him solely for his animations. I LOVE his maxed out basic atk one especially

I’m gonna pull for him to, even though I’m almost completely drained on Star Jade. Although they haven’t really given me much reason to think I’d lose the 50/50 on the special banner so far.

I got Daniel and put him on my team right away. Even when under leveled, he was dealing so much damage against the Stagnant Shadow. I can't wait to level him up fully!

shame that i see a lot of people still dissing him even after how disgustingly broken he perform in release, i guess the only thing that can satisfy these lustful weebs are hot women eh.... i can already imagine if IL was a waifu, people gonna be head over heels and start worshipping just like seele was, what a world we live in.

I find that mono img with luocha/yukong/SW is really good for him and i can use his 3 sp attack without having trouble with skill points. Yukong e6 is why i dont need to use skill on anymore

im lucky enough to already have Welt and Luocha so i’m passing on Imagine Dragon Daniel this time around! instead im saving for Fu Xuan cause she just looks really fun to me + Jingliu bc im in desperate need of an ice damage dealer (i am Yanqing-less 😔)

Despite the fact that I have E1 Seele,her light one and Blade as a F2p I still pulled for him. I don’t really care if he won’t be as useful on my account but I REALLY like him and I know I won’t regret.

I'm a Day 1 player, completely F2P (aside from a couple ESPs i got from giveaways). I managed to get E1 Bronya, and got Battle cone in the starlight shop and that made me almost always have 4-5 skill points every turn, so Imbibitor Lunae was a good pull for my account. I also have Seele, Jing Yuan, Blade, and Clara. Having all these skill point generation and characters that dont need too much skill points made me stop using my Preservation characters, and just have healers for sustain (with them having ERR Vonwacq so they just basic attack). So, i dont feel the need for Fu Xuan, she'll just steal aggro from Blade and Clara...but i am pulling on her banner for Lynx

I have gepard, luocha, bailu as sustain units. I have seele, and kafka as dps units, but it's hard to maximize kafka's potential as of now due to her having no premium DoT team yet, tho she's still great rn, however i pulled dan heng cuz aside from im lacking on the dps side, i also have all the possible characters to team with him except bronya. (And yeah im a fan of big numbers) ☺️

i pulled dan heng IL and im currently using him in a mono img team with luocha, e6 yukong and e1 welt. idk if this team would work without yukong's e6 but basically luocha barely uses sp, welt can def shred on normal atks and yukong gives insane crit and atk buffs so thats what works for me and i havent had any SP issues w this team. from the beginning of the game ive wanted fu xuan, so i only pulled seele (had to bc i came from hi3), accidentally got her e1, then silver wolf and luocha. i skipped blade jing yuan and kafka to be able to guarantee fu xuan but since i had a surplus amount of pulls, i decided to pull for dan heng IL and i dont regret it bc his team requirement dont impede with my mono quantum team w fu xuan sw lynx and seele so might as well 🗿

I won the last 3 50/50 hoping to keep this winning streak going but I absolutely love imbibitor lunar he’s amazing! I do like 100k level 3 basic attacks and not even full leveled yet

Having got an early Kafka off the back of a soft-pity Bronya as my first five-star (poetic, that she was my Seele loss), DH-IL not only won himself in the same earliness as Kafka, but _E1'd_ just after. Even in Genshin, I don't have event five-star duplicates. So, dipping into Star Rail proper is gonna be vicious~

Okay. If you have luocha, PUT MULTIPLICATION ON HIM. Yes, you will sacrifice some healing and/or ER via quid pro quo etc, however Luocha can keep his cool with survivability as is. And multiplication is a must have 3* s5 light cone to use if you use Luocha in tandem with IL. Basically, Luocha becames a very efficient sp generator thanks to the 20% advance from using basic attacks. Edit: Natasha and Bailu can use it too, however they are much more reliant on other light cones for ER and healing output.

He is hot and a really interesting character plus i have jingyuan and blade so ofc i needed to pull for him and lucky me i won 50/50 and at 50 pity❤, now that i have the important members of the cloud quintlet i can just save until argeti, as soon as another imaginary character that isnt an easy skip releases i will make a monoimaginary team with welt, luocha and dan heng IL, but i just hope argenti is quantum to start playing with that element too, cus so far all quatum characters are so easy to skip or to just leave at lvl 20 like qinque or whatever her name is i havent bothered to play quantum

How good would be the BP LC for Harmony on Tingyun in Dan Heng's team considering it's the Widsith of the bunch, giving either Atk, Crit Dmg or ER, while the three are good for Dan Heng, maybe the luck based isn't as good ?

Got him in 11 pulls while doing 2 full 10 pulls. At 51 pity. This is a Back to back 50 pity 50/50 win as I also got Blade at 50 pity and this is while using their Predecessor Banners to build pity to get Yukong and Luka. Feels nice to have both Blade and IL. I also have Silver wolf. Plan on going for Fu then Jingliu. (I don't Declare myself as a F2P, I am one when I lack funds but when I have funds I'll take it as an Investment for Future Characters ((rather then a boatload to E6 S5 Characters, Something I don't intend on ever doing) but I will save the Stellar Jades I do have as well and and go for Characters I do want.

Dan Heng IL is what made me swipe, rip my wallet but I managed to get him and his light cone (and Clara, lost 50/50). Now I'm just gonna save going forward :') Good luck on everyone's pulls!!

I pulled him because other than Yukon’s, I don’t have any other imagination characters. I have yet to pull Welt, and I don’t have Silver Wolf to give me big weaknesses, so I struggle against all enemies that have an imaginary weakness since that was one less weakness I could take advantage of.

Good thing I have c1 Bronya and her weapon for the skill point regen when I use her skill and burst ( skill is RNG) but considering how you need to get the burst as it’s very good sp is so easy to get (f2p btw)

I have all 4 star characters and 5star characters i have are bailu, e1 geopard, himeko, seele and silver wolf. The problem i have is: no dps other than seele so should i get new dan heng should i get mono quantam team

I plan to pull fu xuan just to get the mono quantum dream team :)

If I wasn't saving up for the inevitable Raiden Mei/Ei expy we'll be getting eventually I would totally pull for him. I have 430 wishes saved up already (not f2p, but low spending). I just really want to get E6 S5 or Raiden when she comes out.

Dunno what the "/Ei" is for, there's no character called Ei in Honkai Impact, only in Genshin.

@@thegamerfe8751 Yes, and Raiden Ei is Raiden Mei's genshin expy. I was doing that for the people who are only familiar with Genshin to have an idea who I was talking about. And I know they're really nothing alike in their respective games, but neither are most of the HI3 characters compared to their SR counterparts.

funny how the overall majority of F2P went for kafka or blade, as u said, but me, also a F2P, skipped those 2 for Dan Heng IL i don't regret it

DHIL pairs really well with any unit that only requires 1 SP for their skill every so often and just does a lot passively. For example, Fu Xuan, with just one use of her ability, gives the entire team increased crit rate (or DMG, I forget), max HP, and DMG redirection to herself for several turns. She can also heal herself in emergencies, reducing the need for a healer when paired with her skill. Yeah these 2 work well together.

Dan Heng Sayan was my luckiest summen in both genshin and Honkai I had about 40 pulls and 0 pity. He came home at about 20 pity 5050 Decided to try pulling the light cone despite never doing weapon or light cone banners. Low and behold I hadn't ever pulled a light cone 5* in game, though tried to get Blades BIS 4* last patch. Got Dan Hengs 5* light cone probably on 40 or 50 pity with those 5 sumons I had left!!!

Dan heng is versality character which adapt to different various combat style as should be class of destruction[ read the describtion of the class]. Thats how he got S+ tier class. Which means not only supports can play with him. The same style has seele she looks like only hunt but if she make extra turn she change into Aoe dps also. Ofcourse if she finish enemies by one blow. And thats how this characters survive the longer in tier list as S+ tier classes. You know it very well and i know it very well.

Not sure if I'm pulling for him or waiting for him to return but want Fu Xuan so much 😢

190k E0S5(FoA) on his basic attack. Yep, I would say an S+

He is my first E1 character with lightcone. No regrets. Husbandos supramcy. 😊 It took me 140 pulls. Love his design and story plus his damage is glorious.❤

After gettin Kafka's E1 in 80 pulls + her lightcone i did 20 pulls on his banners because why not and the gacha gods blessed me with him,,i kinda feel i spent my luck for a year now 🤣

Gives your hope for neuvillete. He is the first sovereign dragon to be released. China really loves dragon so, he is your best bet for now.

You used an old version of Fulgurant Leap. It is somewhat nerfed to do a 500% multiplier at 3 stacks, but that's still pretty cracked. I can also see where you are going with your narrative of him being SP heavy, but at least if you got his LC, you honestly don't notice this as much as the narrative overplays this issue to be. He feels very smooth and good to use and can get his ult up in 2-3 rotations very consistently, which also vastly cheapens his overall SP usage. My biggest complaint is losing the first 50/50 so I had to go all the way to hard pity and now I probably can't afford getting him to E2 sadly, but even without it he feels good to play so we'll see. I'll try to get him to E1 though probably, at least.

Dan Heng needs THREE skill points per turn. Qingque: Five skill points for a non empowered basic attack take it or leave it

Remember when people said Seele wont be dethroned from top dps because of her extra turn lol

So what I’m hearing is Seele is less expensive and more compatible with more characters, but Daniel has a higher dmg ceiling, does anyone know how big exactly the dmg gap is between the two?

Depends on the kind of set up you put into it. With an average build without proper artifacts, IL will deal ~50% more than seele, in exchange for the 50% greater SP consumption, yet will also damage in an AoE thanks to being destruction. When built properly, his single target damage per round can easily eclipse Seele by about double.

I’m just afraid that if I pull for him I won’t have enough stellar jades/pity to get fu xuan

The only thing more cracked than Dan IL's dam is my desire to have Fu Xuan design

Me having Blade and Jingyuan but still pulled for Dan Heng IL simply because I collect all male characters

I would have pulled, if not for Jingliu keeping her sword at my neck telling me to save for her.

I had to bench him even though he is currently my best dps by far i can not use double sustain with him. I have to constantly shield and heal every turn and DHIL does not let you do that. I was able to clear MoC 9 with normal Dan Hang but i can not do it with DHIL. I can not afford to use 3 sp per turn. I can not even afford 2 sp per turn.

Its been months since the game's release and they already released an alter form bruh

Im so happy i just on my 50/50 and got This dude and then lost my 50/50 and got yanqing (all in under 8 wishes) AND THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IVE GOT DOUBLE 5* all my genshin luck went to HSR

I don’t want to spend money on HSR since I don’t actually like it, I just play to keep up with my friends and the f2p life is pretty tough LOLOL I had to skip Blade for DanHeng, and my only other dps was JingYuan. I’m glad he feels strong. Unfortunately his relic sets are annoyingly restrictive, so I nigiri go with Musketeer until I get Welt to be his buddy or smth.

puling dan heng just for lore immersive purpose, i must put him at nameless team for any lore related party.

Decided to do a 10 pull on the banner for shits and giggles knowing i wouldn't get Dan Heng. Especially because i didn't care i had blade and Kafka, well for my tom foolery Hoyo gave me a 5 star and made me win the 50/50.... this was literally 90 away from pity. I sat a full 2 minutes with my hands on my face.

Must stay strong for fu xuan, jingliu, and topaz

I built him with f2p build -CR/CD 40/150 -Cowboy set and imaginary set -2 set of imaginary and atk ornaments -rye under the sun light cone for 16% attack and 12% CR for 2 turns everytime he defeated an enemy Is this built ok at least?

I'd go full imaginary set, personally. It's very easy to debuff enemies to abuse the upsides, especially if you pair him with Pela. Bonus points if you're using one of silver wolf, luocha, or yukong. You might want to run with yukong with such a low CR. When you make the time to farm artifacts, try and get him to at least over 60. Early on, I'd argue the best light cone for him is just tower. 40% basic attack damage is universally good, and is only eclipsed by herta store LC if you don't get his gacha one.
