phantoms being afraid of cats can be explained easily when you go to sleep (and have a tamed cat), there is a chance of the cat giving you a "gift" when you wake up one of those gifts is a phantom membrane, indicating that the cat may have killed a phantom so it's safe to assume that phantoms instinctively stay way from cats because they're their predators

my guess is that the creators of the temples wanted to better defend themselves due to low resources, so they used magic to create creepers to act as a way to attack other places, and defend what they plundered. the cats acted as deterrent both because of their cultural importance and as a means to potentially herd creepers and prevent them backfiring. the spore releasing was likely just a way to create creepers without expending resources in artificial creation.

In the Egyptian ancient culture, cats are the guard of gates to afterlife/spirit realm. It is safe to assume that they are afraid of them because they came from the other side.

Looking at the symbols on chiseled sandstone upside down it kinda looks like: TBX (in galactic alphabet) which in swedish is a shortened version of: "Go back"

Actually creepers have a blurry green vision and imagine you saw a Cat hissed at you while you have creeper vision , the cats can see in the dark by somehow making their eyes glow , this trick applies to scare other creatures too , so creepers May be scared of cats because of their blurry green vision

Also: you can find some gunpowder and sand inside the chests of the dessert temple

I think the clue is in "Great Sphinx of Giza" because there seems to be a cat temple standing on the side of the dessert temple. The cat temple is like the king of dessert temples where the creeper was made. This is probably the reason why the creeper is afraid of cats.

I think the creepers were made to defend desert temples since the recipe to make them is on chiseled sandstone bricks. But they escaped from there and started roaming in the wild, and they attack players to defend the desert temples. Since the creepers, a mutated pig, it could be possible that sense cats hunt, guinea pigs, creepers might be afraid that they will mistake them for a giant, guinea pig, so that’s why they’re scared of them

I think that there were many groups of the Ancient Builders, like the ones that lived in the Ocean, In the Overworld, and the Desert. The people who lived in the Desert created the creepers for defense against the other civilizations. The creepers exploded and spread their spores. Later after the Plague with the Zombies, Skeleton, etc. The Ancient civilizations died and the creepers learned to live with the monsters that were now roaming the Minecraft world. So the Creeper also attacks you because he was also programmed to attack the other civilizations.

Cats just love to use Creepers as a scratching post... XD

Well.. If u look closely in the sandstone (chiseled I think) you'll see what looks like the carved out face of a creeper therefore creeper were known then and could be a part of your point of being recreated and for the cats to be protected

Here's my take, creepers were made from mutating the pigs by the ancient builders to protect their structures from invaders. Invaders like other ancient builder civilisations. Maybe this is the reason why we find creepers in desert temples and strongholds because both the structures were made by the same kind of ancient builder civilisation. Yes, creepers were programmed to not hurt cats, that's why they run away from them. They aren't afraid, they just don't wanna hurt the cat.

Well my theory is that since creepers were mutated by the Egyptians, they became extremely scared of what they were capable of, so they ran and started attacking players for revenge. The reason they are scared of cats is because in Egyptian culture cats are treated almost like gods, which means that the creeper has a natural fear of cats as they reminds them of the egyptians

I took a close look at the chiseled sandstone. "XTZ" is what I found. When put upside down, the galactic X is what appears. The middle letter looks a lot like the galactic T, when taken in with a closer look. And the Z just looks very obvious from looking at the chiseled sandstone and the galactic Z.

Another theory: Creepers also drop music discs, I believe it's bcoz ancient builders wanted to store something in creepers with the help of music discs and they fear cats coz usually players have cats with them and then they can't get that info stored in the creepers

The creepers outer shell (the moss) might grow after an explosion then an pig comes and gets "corrupted" after the coruption the pig gets mutated propably only the moss was created by the ancient builders. And the tnt might be an result of residue sand and gunpowder existent in the desert. I can only guess that the desert was the creepers home of creation. The moss might have an catnip like effect to cats and that might be why they run away

In Minecraft Dungeons, Ocelots can be seen chasing and hunting Creepers. It is possible that, in addition to what was said in the video, the cats have become their natural predators of the creepers or something like that.

Here's my take, the creepers could of been the guardians of the temples to protect the treasures inside, the little cells around the temples was where they were supposed to stand guard for any intruders. If the creepers couldn't stop the intruders the booby trap is the last resort. But due to the ancient civilization going extinct and creepers being able to multiply, the creeper population got out of hand since the ancient civilization is no longer there to control them. As for the fear of cats, since the ancient civilization is somewhat based on ancient Egyptians, cats are revered as a god in particular Bastet, who was depicted as a fierce lioness warrior and also a goddess of protection against contagious diseases and evil spirits. Seeing as how creepers (in present day Minecraft) are evil and also spread like a contagion, Bastet (cat goddess) is the creeper's worst nightmare.

Maybe the "spores" smell like something good to the creepers, so by then they grow into more creepers, they actually walk over to where the player is and see its the player so they explode?

I think Creepers may have some sort of compound in them that functions similarly to catnip. Seeing as how cats love catnip, Creepers will keep away from the felines so that they can reach peak ripeness. Also in the game, cats don't actually attack Creepers, however tamed Osolots will.

I love your editing and the theory was very convincing!

My headcanon is that the creeper’s skin is like that of a scratching post (because of it’s rough texture) and feels extreme pain when the cat scratches it. But I can see why it was mutated by the egyptians,but I’ll rather stick with my headcanon because it’s more goofy.

my theory: in ancient egypt, killing a cat (even by accident) was punishable by death. the creeper probably had many accidental explosions, multiple times killing a cat. so the creeper learned from its lesson and ran away from all cats it saw as to avoid even accidentally blowing them up like last time.

good theory! Even though herobrine is pretty fake there was aboslutely no proof of him existing, just one guy someday was playing some minecraft and saw a humanoid figure resembling steve, with white eyes in the fog that is how the rumor started , it very likely was just someone trying to prank a player or just ghosts of some sorts, or maybe it was just a glitch.

Mojang confirmed that creepers look like dry, crunchy leaves, and it’s also with the fact, that, the creeper was supposed to be a pig, but Notch messed it up.

Creepers are created not like a science experiment but more of a magic spell.

My theory is that Mojang added the feature of creepers being scared of cats to give people a reason to go tame them. Other than that, and being absolutely adorable, (I'm a cat person) there's not really a reason to spend time trying to find one, unlike wolves who will willingly fight for you.

I think that the creeper experiment was used to protect the temple, why they added TNT into the creepers, and maybe they scared of cats because Egyptians worshipped them and the creepers were too scared to hurt them as that would betray their creators.

5:22 this might scared u but it says "Resurrect?" So here a theory what if the pigs died due to drought and those people were trying to bring them back to life but it was a failed experiment hence the creeper was born

I feel like the creepers weren't programmed to fear cats. I think that the creepers are scared because cats hung out with the players who morphed them into monsters. In other words, they are scared of cats because it could mean that players are nearby too. With this you'd probably think "why do creepers not fear players then?" and to that I say idk. Maybe when they see a player they just have a grudge against them so they try to kill them
